81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Unimaginable case yesterday at local bet shop. on: August 15, 2024, 01:01:12 PM

Physical casinos should not accept any goods or property to be pledged by someone in order to finance gamblers to be able to bet, there must be restrictions on certain goods.

But on the other hand casinos may also want to take advantage when someone really wants to gamble and wants to pledge his property, of course that is a bad intention from the casino in my opinion.

In this case it is not only the casino that should be blamed but the gambler should also be blamed because he does not have money why should he gamble and risk his motorcycle just to be able to gamble.

I’ve never heard of a physical casino actually letting people bet physical items. Most of the casinos I’ve been to are littered with pawn shops so that people can pawn their items for money to gamble with. It would be odd to see someone bet a physical item. If it’s allowed though and the gambler loses their item, the blame can only be on them for risking it.
It may never happen in a large casino but looking at the current situation actually for some small casinos things like this can still happen and may even be commonplace to do.
I've found some similar conditions where there are some croupiers who even accept bets in the form of goods from the smallest such as watches or gadgets and there can even be bigger bets such as for motorbikes and even other guarantees.

We've even seen cases where a mother would use her child as collateral because she couldn't pay the losses she incurred from gambling.
This is proof that situations like this can still happen when gambling is too habitual for everyone.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 15, 2024, 12:11:03 PM
I agree because looking at what is in the current PSG squad with their strength in terms of financial and individual players actually for Ligue 1 they are still quite luxurious and will still be difficult to compete with even though there is no Mbappe for next season but some players still have skills above average so for Ligue 1 actually it is very enough.
But of course the hope is not limited to that, PSG is currently one of the clubs that is still considered big, especially with its financial strength so they definitely still want more in terms of recognition and the Champions League is one way for them to be recognized.
With their strength now although it is still very good but I am quite sure it will not be enough because apart from players and coaches, there is experience which is another factor if you really want them to be in better condition. By looking at that, of course there must be several players who must enter in the transfer season this time which unfortunately they still haven't done.
Even I have to be agreed about this but PSG is never been work for their domestic workout usually they are having target to win Champions League but now in this season what is their tactics it's fascinating because no one having any idea about them with mostly their players are quality and can give them good results in early rounds of the Champions League but in last rounds they need to have good quality without this it's never been easy for them to go through for the good results.

But here maybe we will have some changes in January transfer window because currently things are not going as they are looking for so they can change their strategy in coming days after having good results into early rounds of this season with in domestic league no team will be challenge them.
Now it looks like for this transfer saga PSG will only remain passive where they will only improve the midfield and defense according to what they brought in this transfer for Joao Neves, William Pacho and Safonov but for the attack line they will still let the same players (minus Mbappe).
The Champions League target is still there, it's just that the target is increasingly not easy for them to realize especially with their strength which is definitely reduced due to Mbappe's absence which will have an impact on the attack scheme and formation later, so their probability has definitely decreased for now.
Since the beginning of the Champions League they have always been left behind, especially the Champions League benchmarks are still in Madrid and Manchester City and now it will make them even less in terms of probability considering that PSG in recent seasons has always been synonymous with Mbappe and Mbappe's absence in the squad next season, it is clear that it will reduce their probability greatly.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2024/25 on: August 15, 2024, 08:16:38 AM
Basically friendly games are not an indication, if we say "Barcelona lost to Monaco so they are not looking good", we could also say "Barcelona beat Real Madrid they are looking strong" which one makes sense to you, I personally do not think that we are going to make that much sense by just saying which one makes sense, it is not really that complicated to make that sense and we should not be looking at it like an important game, it's only just friendly games and we can't really make a deduction from it at all. We are going to face Barcelona doing decent enough but I still expect second place for them.

I don't think we can equate Barcelona's friendly against Madrid and the one against Monaco because the context of these two matches is different even though they are packaged like pre-season matches.
Against Madrid, the context was a friendly match where they tried to test all the players and that was proven by Flick playing almost all the core players and reserve players they had because this was a form of preparation for the upcoming season. In contrast to facing Monaco, although the concept is the same as a pre-season match, the context in this match is the struggle for the Joan Gamper trophy which they made themselves like a competition (because there is a trophy) and seeing from what they dropped in terms of the squad, most of the core players were actually because of the aim to win but they were ultimately slaughtered in the competition they made themselves.
This clearly distinguishes and becomes hard work for the preparation of the new season because when they face Monaco, it is clear that what they are looking for is a victory with the core squad but what happens is the opposite where they have to lose by a landslide score.

After the back line is now resolved because the purchase of a defender has been completed, now Man United is eyeing Ivan Toney along with Chelsea because this team also wants him.

Hojlund is injured for a few weeks.
Rashford is linked with Arab Club, this is not certain.
So anticipate when there is a Rashford agreement with another team then Ivan Toney will be the next target, so far they have not dared to pay 60M for Ivan Toney.

Toney is good enough for the attack and I think his performance was noticeable enough at Brentford to make it a possible purchase that could still be done.
But there are some issues that need to be considered in this case such as in financial issues that must be disturbed after Manchester United brought in several players where the expenditure they have made in this transfer is already more than 150 million.

https://www.transfermarkt.com/manchester-united/startseite/verein/985

If you add Ivan Toney, who is priced at more than 50 million, it will be difficult for Manchester United. But on the other hand according to Local Media that I read Manchester United tried to anticipate this by trying to borrow Ivan Toney with a permanent option at the end of the season.

It's normal to see promotions like that, I don't think we can ward off waves like that. As a long-time gambler, I don't care if I receive messages that seem convincing like that, nor do I really care if someone else turns out to be trapped by shit promotions like that.

BTW, I don't agree with your opinion which says that the odds in gambling are 1% of winning and 99% of losing, in 2-sided betting you'll see that the real odds are 50% - 50%.
But I agree with the assumption that winning is only possible in 1% and 99% is losing, why I agree with that is because it will make our psychology have no more hope of winning, so after placing a bet you know you will lose and even if you win you can assume that it's luck, most people always look at the chance 50% : 50% of winning and losing, even though it is true because only two choices you will get but it will encourage your psychology when losing to feel that you have the same chance of winning so you dare to bet an amount that you can't lose. IMO
86  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have realized more that patience is all that it takes on: August 14, 2024, 07:09:46 PM
I know that patience is very important in trading. But do you people know how patience is connected to a lot of things in trading?

Patience tells you not to use more than small amount of money that you have to trade
Patience advice you to use low leverage
Patience convince you to start with averaging
Patience tells you not to look for much profit

Did you know that the most successful traders are those that looks for small profit. This helps them to trade less volatile assets which are less risky.

If you are trading and not making money from it, it is because you do not have patience in trading. All strategies that is more about patience will help you to make money in trading.
Of course patience is the key to victory, only experienced traders can do this, because there are so many experiences about rushing, over-leveraging, fomo on the ups and downs so that placing short and long positions without clear arrangements in their trading activities become losses faster, yes that is me who has learned from a lot of impatience in the market.

Patience makes me prefer a calmer flow, leverage no more than 10x with adjusted risk if my position is liquidated.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If An Altcoin is Not Listed on Coinmarketcap - Will it Never be? on: August 14, 2024, 06:49:41 PM
Project owners can register their projects on coinmarketcap easily, as long as they meet the requirements given by the platform itself to developers who want to register their projects.
There are also many coins that are not on coinmarketcap but are on other platforms such as coingecko for example, you can search for it yourself.

Not necessarily the coin is listed unless the developer registers it there, while seeing the original or not you have to pay attention again, it could be a forgery, you can see the project description directly if it is available on a platform, and see the smart contract to verify that it is the correct coin or not.

I want to asked here.. What could make you stake bet with a motorcycle or any physical properties knowing too well that when lose you can't afford to let go your motorcycle or property. How could this act be properly prevented, or does it mean that the betting shop should stop accepting people using anything not less than money to stake bet or what? I have seen many worse cases where people gambles uncontrollably, I was so much embarrassed seeing people behave this way.

89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My experience in gambling on: August 14, 2024, 05:54:55 PM
....But at a point I realized I could actually make money from gambling and become extremely rich. Consequently, I increased my gambling amount as well as my targets but from this point onward, everything changed for me and it became extremely difficult to win.

What could be the reason for this case whereby I moved from winning easily to finding it difficult to win? Although a lot have changed for good after I did some adjustments to my gambling but I still cannot explain what happened to my gambling in the past.
When you have this thought, that is the problem why you increase the amount of your bet, your orientation towards money becomes you have greed and think you can get rich by gambling, of course it is a very fatal thought that you do.

Meanwhile in some cases from the confessions of other gambling players, when they first started playing gambling, they easily won at gambling and it seemed that the casino gave the winnings to the early gamblers to make gamblers interested in betting their money again, provoking the greedy souls of short thinkers, whether it is true or not I have also thought like that in your case, but so far I have played gambling, not so bad in money management then you will be much better at gambling if you control your money and yourself very well, luck is rare.
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: I didn't expect to see it went below 56k on: August 14, 2024, 05:41:50 PM
Q4 this year might be a special year for bitcoin, there is a lot of bullish sentiment from the economic macro for bitcoin, even if the correction returns in my opinion it will not be separated from the price of $56k, this will not be repeated if you see the current situation.
I also think so, but every different possibility can always happen in the market so everyone must also be more prepared to face the level of Bitcoin price correction in the market when approaching Q4 this year. Although I am still more optimistic about the price increase at the end of this year because there are many parties who are happy enough to buy Bitcoin and continue to hold it until now.
Of course even though we are optimistic about the bitcoin outlook in Q4 but we also have to understand because the name of disaster is not in anyone's calendar, something that cannot be predicted always comes and it is a mystery in a future journey, we must really understand the possibility of bad even though it is quite optimistic bullish in front of the eyes in order to manage the risks we can take at this time.

The biggest fear is the escalation of the war between Iran and Israel, if this involves more countries in conflict it could be the worst negative thing, we know that these two countries have their loyal friends in running their business and strong government, if it comes to blocking the industry it could and become a conflict between two associations or camps will have a bad impact on the global economy.
I hope this doesn't happen because if it could happen this year it would most likely have an impact on all markets including the crypto market itself. So I just hope that the impact of the war between the two countries doesn't really affect the market if indeed the war cannot be avoided because each country still has an ego in showing their own abilities.
Yes you are not alone in such expectations, because if it affects the global economy it will be very painful for any market including bitcoin, hopefully it does not affect bitcoin at large, and the fear is just like a war like the wind.
91  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tell me, do you have a goal to be a professional gambler in the future? on: August 14, 2024, 05:17:39 PM
It's very hard to describe a professional gambler in my opinion, and you're right about that, how is it possible to study gambling that relies so much on luck and find a way to get a strategy to get consistent winnings from gambling.

It can be a lot of work and a lot of money to get to that point, and I've never heard of a professional gambler except in movies. LOL

I'd rather focus on trading than focus on gambling for a living, although many people say it's similar but in the world of trading, you can get the right strategy in finding profits, and the skill factor can be decisive than the luck factor here.
The only thing that i do consider professional gamblers are to those;

1. Could stop mid way neither on a great loss or having that huge win.
2. Could be able to control their gambling urge on each sessions
3. Doesnt compromise their life savings
4. Doesnt compromise their priorities in life

Talking literally about making up bets or playing then there are really actually those people or gamblers who are really that sustaining themselves on this gambling field.
Yes, its hard to believe since gambling is really that heavily relying with luck but we do know that there would really be those individuals who are really that surviving despite of such condition.
It would really be just that not something that you are making these things to be your inspiration because on the time that you would really be doing these stuffs then you are
really just that basically putting up yourself on such big trouble. So better be careful with your decisions and just stick about gambling is really just that for the sake of fun.
I think it's more of a responsible gambler rather than a professional gambler, linguistically it doesn't fit the meaning of what is considered a professional which is an expert in a particular field.

Therefore there are no professional gamblers if based on those points, but maybe you have a different opinion about professional gamblers and it's valid if you think that way, but by the definition of professional itself then it is not worth saying as someone who is an expert in a particular field or called a professional.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: August 14, 2024, 04:29:22 PM
Can someone explain to me the idea behind extending Cole Palmer’s contract ? He just joined last season and signed a 7 year deal. They probably only increased his wages after convincing them. They did the same for Loftus Cheek and the other guy that went to Germany on Loan, Hudson Odoi.

Honestly I don’t think it makes sense. His contract is extended for 9 years. I don’t know if the contracts serves the players better than the team no ?.

I saw the news yesterday and I was very upset with Chelsea. If you have been following Chelsea for a while now, you'll discover that they are very found of that silly decision offering contract beyond reasonable period of time. How on earth will a sensible club offers such a long time contracts for someone who just joined the club not long ago? I don't know if they are being deceived by overhype from last season Palmer performance.I don't know how they'll justify that decision but it doesn't really make any sense. With all they're busy doing during the summer, I'm anticipating the season to start let see how impressive or worse  they'll become.
This is actually a form of Chelsea's protection for Palmer because after all, with the current conditions and by looking at the performance that Palmer is their only successful purchase in recent seasons because his performance has always increased, it seems that the release date will be a little easier to break into other big clubs if they are interested in Palmer, especially since his value is also still quite cheap before when Chelsea managed to bring Palmer from Manchester City so they forced to renew the contract even though until now the contract still remains long enough just to increase the value of a Palmer.
Chelsea have the right to do that and we don't need to be disappointed even though their current actions are actually unnecessary but they already have a policy for that and they are free to do it.
It's just that with this, Todd must start thinking about his money from now on because if something like this continues to happen then sooner or later their finances will be in trouble later.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 14, 2024, 01:54:39 PM

If their target is limited to the France league then there is no need to sign any new players because with the team they currently have they will definitely write France and win the championship. But if they plan on Champions League tournament outside of this tournament then they must recruit good quality players. Earlier they wasted a lot of money now if they spend some money then that money will not go astray because the manager they have now will not hire any wrong player to their club. If the management gives Luis Enrique financial freedom then the current manager can make this team much stronger. But if there is a limitation in spending money then it will be very difficult for Luis Enrique to take this team to a good level.

This is the lineup according to Eurosports and Mbappe is starting the match.
Cavaminga will miss the match against Atalanta.
He has just been injured. This midfielder suffered a knee injury during training. and will soon undergo an examination to find out how the exact further condition.

Camavinga's injury is thankfully not serious and according to local media I've read he will now undergo further checks on his recovery limit but he won't be available to play against Atalanta today.
But that won't discourage mentally because even though Camavinga is now injured but they still have plenty of options to make this match an advantage for them.
There is still Tchouameni who can be projected as a central midfielder and Jude or Modric who can be used as an attacking midfielder to complement Valverde later.
Camavinga's injury sounds a bit concerning but he won't be a problem even if he can't play today and hopefully the reports of his injury not being too severe are true.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 14, 2024, 01:25:26 PM
Here's a good signing by Manchester United, they bought both De Ligt and Mazraoui from Bayern Munich only for 60 Million Euros. Their back line will be stronger, nice to see Manchester United paying attention with their back line instead of focusing to sign new striker over and over.

They will save Onana's name since they will minimize Manchester United of getting conceded. Cheesy

I think this is a good condition for Manchester United because looking at the agreement they did for these two players of course this is a more reasonable deal than they forced to bring Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton.
In addition, when talking about the experience of being in a big club, de Ligt and Mazraoui are still very reliable in this regard even though de Ligt did not perform too well when he was at Bayern but when looking at what he showed at Juventus and in the Dutch national team he is actually still very worthy of big clubs, especially Manchesrter United. With this, the competition situation becomes more interesting for Manchester United's defense next season because in addition to the 2 new players who entered previously there is Yoro even though he is currently injured and of course several defenders who are already at Manchester United today.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Animal-Themed Crypto: How Many Have You Spotted? on: August 12, 2024, 03:37:53 PM
the new meme maker are creating animal themed meme coin because the narrative sells and who don't like animal anyway, dogs and cats are among the most loved animal and it seems people really favour meme coin themed with these animal so meme coin maker just can't help themselves but creating more and more cat or dog based meme coin just to attract those capital into their meme coin.

however it's just the same thing presented over and over again, so yeah, these kind of meme coin will probably last as long as the narrative still works.
In essence this becomes something very difficult, people are no longer talking about dogs, cats, monkeys, horses and others, this memecoin activity makes anxiety among the feasibility of real projects from the altcoin market, people buy it not because they like the image in the logo, but because they hope it is much better than shiba and doge coins that can make them rich many times over quickly, so people can gamble on coins, memes according to the narrative that has always been a favorite of many people.

There are too many meme coins in 100 cmc right now and it's bothering a lot of investors in a technology development. LOL
97  Economy / Economics / Re: You need to become rich soon becouse world getting harder on: August 12, 2024, 03:06:05 PM
if you just talk quickly it's very easy to get rich, and if you are in the field you will feel that it's not that easy to get rich if you don't have enough ability to make money
In my opinion, being rich is not mandatory, but meeting your needs is an obligation
Pretty wise words.

Saying to be rich is much easier to practice it, I agree with that because being rich needs a long process, it can't be like today you work then tomorrow become a rich person, silly thinking isn't it, everyone wants to be rich but it's not an easy thing, especially in an economic situation that is on the verge of a recession like today, of course it will make it even more difficult in the future.

Building a business also takes time to get to a position that is far better, can increase and can become a business giant, more than a decade, without us knowing what the journey is like.

I totally agree that there is no need to be rich, but the need to be fulfilled in such a situation is something natural wealth that we can feel with our family.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still gamble? on: August 12, 2024, 02:36:55 PM
The motive of this thread is for us to discuss what will be you stands if online casinos charges you fees on each game you play on them, same way excahges charges you on each trading position you open, and why should excahges charges fees and casinos not charging such fees, First of all the First objective of every business is to generate revenues, so at first I wasn't curious about this, but recently I began to wonder why the difference between excahges and casinos when both have similar features which are licensing and KYC.
If exchanges take trading fee's their call it value added taxes which some part get remitted to the government.
But online cryptocurrency casino's act in the same vain because both trading and Gambling are the same it all aim at either profits or lose, but while gambling plartforms let go of the fees, exchange charges us on each regardless wether we make profits or lose in the trading position.
Taxes applied to exchanges and gambling are certainly different things, because on the exchange there is a transaction tax for each trader, while in gambling or casinos there is no trading activity and the business that is run is only entertainment services, there are no value exchange transactions in casinos, gamblers are also taxed if they get a win like in other regions.

These two types of business are different, the services provided are also different, the exchange is like a market that provides goods, sellers and buyers.

The idea of being a professional gambler in the future hasn't crossed my mind, in the sense that gambling is not what someone can study perfectly to begin to make a living out of it. Trying to make that happen means I am gonna lose more money and end up being addicted to gambling. I don't want such a thing to happen to me. I am comfortable with the way I am with gambling(I win and lose), not wanting more, to be a professional that will make me begin to think otherwise to depend on gambling as a source of income

A person who works in a casino never gets addicted to gambling because they earn a lot of money. Most of his money is in savings and he knows that gambling has the potential to lose. But he must be familiar with gambling and know about other technical problems of gambling. However in some cases it happens that some people are addicted to gambling because of which they gamble even though they work in casinos. They don't need to gamble with the money they earn.
casino workers who become gamblers. Indeed, not all of those who work in casinos will gamble, but I am sure more casino workers still allocate some of their money to gambling.
they will be quite familiar with gambling, and it will not be difficult to understand how to play and profit from gambling. when you are more often in one place with certain habits and routines, I think it is impossible for you not to follow the habits around you. even though a little, you will join in.
This is in accordance with the theory that the environment will change your mindset and actions, basically it is very difficult for someone who is in a gambling environment not to gamble, various kinds of invitations must be there, as well as he works in the casino must understand the technicalities and games in the casino, it is common I have noticed from many gamblers who work in casinos.

Except if someone has good self-control despite working in a casino, but people like that are very rare.
