Yes 100% refund, i will pay the network fee. This offer is valid only for the first 2 bet ID's posted here that lose.

Is this some kind of event or giveaway? I mean how can we so sure about this 100% refund? Are you not going to use any esrow? Btw I just check some places there is 1.00 odds so if I bet that if I win I will lose my tx fee too that means I need to pick others that will guarantee lose to get some refund?

So skeptical sheesh. Unless you think he isn't really a site rep I don't know what you're worried about, they're not gonna lie about it lol.

You don't need to guarantee that you lose. You'd rather win, but if you do lose you get your money back.

So can we only bet on one side? Like, 'No variation in temperature' .. is there any way I can bet that there WILL be variation in temperature?

I've been known to bet on the weather a few times in my day  Cheesy Cheesy Roll Eyes but not knowing how likely wind variations and stuff actually are, it's kind of a leap of faith to me to make the bet, cause maybe I'm getting really bad odds. (If you can bet on both sides then it's clear how much edge you're up against.)

I think if you hope to expand, most people would expect to be able to bet both sides of it. And I'd think that the more longshot types of bets are more appealing to a lot of players. I understand tho that maybe you don't have a huge bankroll to start with and don't want the risk of longshots, and that's why it's setup like that. ::shrug::

Donatello,

You are having an interesting approach.

1. Do you think a company having liquidity problem will announce there are serious delays in depositing (Some of our customers may have not deposited because of that announcement this weekend).

2. We have no withdraw problem, we are processing all withdraws as usual.

Rather than criticize "my approach", you could update your post or even apologize for the wrong information.

I have no idea if it's a liquidity problem. I mentioned that as one possibility. Why then are you still accepting deposits? What's the point of allowing users to deposit when you know there is this issue? You tell me?

But as for your questions,

1.) Sure, because it's obvious right away that deposits aren't showing up. So you have no choice but to say something. A company with a liquidity issue would probably do exactly what you did, say something about it at the bottom of the website (rather than on the deposit page) and say that the delay is a lot smaller than it really is.

2.) Which doesn't speak anything to the possibility that you're using deposited money to make those payments.

Dear Valued Customers,

We are experiencing serious delays with instant deposits due to a wallet upgrade. Unfortunately we are obliged to process manually all deposits, our team is working very hard to reduce the delay. Unfortunately due to the huge amount of deposits on weekends, it may take few hours until your deposits are credited to your account.

We have extended the working hours of our Live Chat support from 8:00 GMT to 24:00 GMT in order to respond to your requests. Please do not hesitate to contact them for any question.

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank your for your patience.

Anonibet

It may take a few hours? Do you know how to count, more than 20 hours is not a few hours. And your email response to me was that you are processing all withdrawals manually when I was asking about deposit. And this thread looks interesting as well . Affiliate problems, Bonus problems, hack problems, how on earth are you running your site , do you operate from a beerhall?

Over three days for me. I've asked to cancel the deposit and be sent back to me, and they say they can't do that.

Please, nobody deposit onto anonibet.

The responsible thing to do, if this is really some kind of wallet problem, would be to not allow deposits. Nobody is expecting to wait several days when they make a deposit. And the only warning is something posted on the bottom of their website (rather than, say, on the page where deposits are made), saying it could take "a few hours".

I don't know if my money is stolen, but I also don't know how long I'm supposed to wait before I assume that. There's no reason that they would still accept deposits when this is going on if it was a genuine wallet problem. Could be a liquidity issue even if they're not just running off with the funds.

I'm going to PM the moderators of this forum. Even besides this "wallet" thing, they've already stolen 5btc from user coaex, plus the numerous other issues. I think it's at the point where they should be regarded as known scammers (at least until they correct these issues), or whatever the procedure is when a business operates unfairly and still tries to post here.

Info@anonibet, you personally are misleading the members here if you don't change "a few hours" to the real information.

This is a old rule here:

Quote
2.03
In order for our website not to be used as a storage facility, we shall impose a 5% fee on deposits that are withdrawn without being used for sporstbetting and casino. Proven Anonibet customers are excluded from this condition.

Well, I've placed plenty of bets, so I think I count as a proven customer. And I was never presented with this explanation or the option to pay the fee. I was given some rigamarole about the deposit bonus being the reason for why I couldn't withdraw. And info@anonibet is even posting that I should have been able to cancel the bonus and withdraw. So this doesn't make me feel any less sketched out by this experience.

EDIT: info@anonibet, please PM me for my account details if you're interested
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anonibet Official Thread - Gold Member of Bitcoin Foundation on: January 06, 2015, 04:29:10 PM
Anonibet terms and conditions are clear about the bonus and we have no hidden conditions. 1 Time rollover is the only requirement.
Yes, I understand the terms for the bonus. I'm talking about the terms for being able to withdraw money that I deposited.

Quote
You could have contacted our live support to cancel your bonus when you have receieved it and NOT after placing bets and winning. When customers are opting not to receive a bonus, we cancel it but this is done before they place any bets and win.
This is exactly what I did. I deposited, chose not to bet, and submitted a withdraw for the amount of deposit (and then they rejected it). I asked Brendon in live chat exactly this, to please cancel my bonus and allow my withdraw, and he said it was not possible. They also told me in an email that it was not possible.

So what you're saying is not correct, although that's exactly how it SHOULD work.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anonibet Official Thread - Gold Member of Bitcoin Foundation on: January 06, 2015, 04:03:15 PM
Something to be aware of when using Anonibet:

They will force you to bet 1x rollover (which means bet the amount of your deposit) before you're able to withdraw it.

This story is a little confusing because the way Anonibet currently operates is they give you a 10% bonus on every deposit. (This is, presumably, because their lines are worse than competitors', so this is a way to allow the value conscious to opt in to a fairer price.) Description on their website: http://anonibet.tumblr.com/post/97885053360/anonibet-10-instant-deposit-bonus

(It's a tumblr page, but it's where you go if you click on the "deposit bonus" section of their site. It isn't like some random page.)

I tried to withdraw the amount I deposited, thinking nothing of it, and received an email saying I couldn't withdraw until the terms of the bonus were met. I replied saying something like "I know the bonus will be cancelled, I just want to withdraw what I deposited. Surely I can do that, right?", and they replied that no I can't.

It seems outrageous to me, to hold a player's deposit contingent upon a play requirement. I've never heard of a site doing that before, certainly not in the bitcoin world. (And FWIW I'm a normal user of the site. Typically when I deposit, I bet. It isn't like I'm a troll and they caught me.)

I had this conversation on live chat when one of their agents randomly initiated a chat with me:

Brendon: Hello, thank you for visiting. Can I help you in any way?

Me: Just trying to log-in to my account on laptop
(password is saved on tablet, but I don't remember it)
I suppose password reset should be fairly easy, right?
I'm in!
While I have your attention though, I do have another question, if you're still available

Brendon: Yes, you may use the forgot password link
Feel free to ask any question, I am at your service.

Me: Thank you Brandon. A week or so ago I deposited 3btc. I realize a deposit bonus is automatically given to me, contingent upon making a bet
I'd like to forfeit the bonus and withdraw the money I deposited

Brendon: Unfortunately forfeiting the bonus is not possible, you will have to reach the one time roll over in order to be able to make a successful withdrawal.

Me: Can you show me where on the website it says this?
I've never heard of a website that doesn't allow you to withdraw your money on deposit before
(And I wouldn't have deposited if I knew this. I deposited just in case I saw a bet I wanted to make.)
Could you please link me to the section of the website where it says this, and/or copy and paste the text to me?

Brendon: Please bear with me while I am checking your request, I will be back in a moment.

Me: Sure, thank you

Brendon: 5.06The Deposit Bonus will always remain as a bonus and cannot be withdrawn. The Deposit Bonus winnings can be withdrawn when the following criteria is met. In order for the customer to withdraw his deposits and winnings (including bonus winnings) without affecting the Deposit Bonus they need to place bets equivalent to the amount deposited (1 time rollover).
anonibet.com/default.aspx

Me: that says "without affecting the Deposit Bonus"
It doesn't say that I can't withdraw my deposit itself
This description makes it pretty clear that the bonus can be forfeited on a withdraw: http://anonibet.tumblr.com/post/97885053360/anonibet-10-instant-deposit-bonus
So I'm confused why I'm being told that it's not possible to cancel the bonus

Brendon: Please be patient and bear with me as i consult my superior concerning your request

Me: Thank you

Brendon: According to the rules and regulations, it is clearly outlined that once you have received the deposit, you will have to fulfill the deposit rules requirements for your to be able to make a successful withdrawal. We kindly ask you to place more bets and reach the one time roll over and your withdrawal request will be approved.

Me: It is not clearly outlined in what you pasted to me
nor anywhere else on the site that I can find
(nor is it intuitive to expect that a deposit would be held hostage)
But OK, if that's the way it's going to be then it isn't worth either of our time to argue about it
Not your fault personally.. thanks for the help

Brendon: We greatly understand your concern, it might have been misinterpretation of the rule but according to the deposit bonus rules, you will be required to make more bets.

(I'm not trying to blame this service agent. It's clear that he is taking direction from the people making the decision.)

To me it seems kind of sleazy to even have such a policy. (Like, even if it were clearly stated that this is how it works, it would seem weird and unfriendly to me.) And to operate this way when it's NOT listed anywhere (and further, when the description seems to actually contradict what they're telling me) makes me feel downright sketched out.

I'll never deposit again. I remember Anonibet from a couple years ago, but there are better BTC books, who don't have this weird operating style.

I ran good betting heavy favorites and profited a little (with the money they were forcing me to bet with), and can confirm that they paid me. But in theory I feel as though I was essentially robbed by 5% of 3btc (or whatever the house edge is).
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do NOT bet with Matthew N. Wright without an ESCROW ON BOTH SIDES on: August 22, 2012, 01:17:56 AM
I will bet you 100 Bitcoins that Matthew will fulfill his end of the deal within 3 weeks after a conclusion.

This means that if Matthew wins (pirate pays out) Matthew is done and I get 100 Bitcoins from you.
If it is decided that Matthew loses and has to pay you Ƀ250, and he /doesn't/ do so within 3 weeks, I will give you 100 Bitcoins. (The 3 weeks start after it's been decided that Matthew loses. Suggestions on how this should be decided?)

We can use a two-sided escrow on this bet if you want to. I've got a decent rating though.
If this gets booked and not escrowed, I'll take action on BTCurious paying out.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Rise of Bitcoin Cost on: August 07, 2012, 11:53:14 PM
I too am curious to know why a rise in price is perceived as a problem.
Use as a medium of exchange is critical to Bitcoin's long-term success. Instability in value makes a currency harder to use as a medium of exchange. Imagine, for example, if you placed a large purchase on a Bitcoin credit card and the value of Bitcoins doubled. Or imagine if your rent was in Bitcoins and then the value of Bitcoins doubled.
Part of using something as a medium of exchange is you hold those things to plan for future purchases.  If you're paying rent in BTC and holding dollars, you're doing it wrong imo.
Sure, that solves the problem for people who have enough wealth stored that they can stash the money to pay all their future rent when they enter into the rental agreement. However, for ordinary people, having their rent suddenly cost twice as much of their income would be devastating.
To me having 6-12 months of rent saved seems fairly "ordinary" when you enter into a rental agreement. (I'm sleeping in the woods before I'm coughing up like most of my net worth on rent.)

But regardless, I don't think it makes much sense to make long-term contracts in BTC right now. Your hypothetical person should be getting income in BTC if it makes sense to do rent contracts that way.

When it's widely used, then it can be stable, but stability now would just mean bitcoin is never widely used.

Anyways, Bitcoin is used by a tiny amount of people right now.  You're not gonna get to the point of "long-term success" without it going up a bunch.

You go out of your way to hold a door for someone, and they happen to catch your firstbits, smile, and quickly transfer you a nano-coin from their device.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin hit $100? on: July 15, 2012, 07:00:51 PM
I posted this statement to betsofbitco not too long ago fwiw, for anyone who wants to gambool Lips sealed:

http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=470

"price of bitcoin will reach $100 USD before the end of 2013"

Deadline is mid-2013, so people can't soak up a sure thing when it's almost over, more incentive for early betting imo.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: betco.in's a ghost town now? on: April 29, 2012, 05:55:53 AM
I hope you're able to track it down or find a buyer or something.  You probably deserve more benefit of the doubt than I gave.  Just want to say that I definitely feel for the situation and hope it works out for you.  Betco was cool.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: betco.in's a ghost town now? on: April 28, 2012, 09:08:40 PM
send me your paypal email and i will refund you yours $5. so far you are the only person giving me trouble and accusing in being a thief.
I'm not really accusing you of anything. Naturally there's *some chance* you're just closing shop and running off with balances. I said what my hunch was but I don't think my hunch necessarily means much.

You can keep the $5, or give it away to a good cause if you want.

Quote
i am not sketchy guy with random email, so your accusations are very off the line.
OK, this might make it less likely that you'd steal, but more likely that you'd create a cover story for it if you did.  If you say you won't be refunding balances, I think it makes sense to at least be skeptical and ask questions.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: betco.in's a ghost town now? on: April 28, 2012, 08:49:06 AM
I emailed you on 8th/April regarding a bet that was confirmed but never placed and no response.
Attempted via forum messages as well.
Could you clarify this?  Are you saying you made a deposit around April 8th but it never showed up in your account?
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: betco.in's a ghost town now? on: April 28, 2012, 08:47:29 AM
Do you intend to make good on our balances?  Or is this like a farewell post?

I only had 1BTC in there, so I'm not really concerned about it relative to how shitty it is if this really happened to you.  But technically it's still on you to get people back, right?

I have no hope to track guy who did it, so unless somebody decide to buy service (like it happened with some exchanges) I probably never be able to pay it off. Service had little to no traffic and as a result virtually no profits. I received one email with offer to buy it out to be able to pay off user's balances, but this wasn't a contract or anything.

I am still in the process of analyzing all data I have left to try to track one who did it. Who knows, may be he did some stupid error somewhere.
You seem a little confused.

Also you told me in an email: Sorry for a all this mess - server was hacked and all coins stolen. I am still working on restoring everything in new place and after that completed - I will get to refunding all balances. All data and code is intact, so there will be no problems with accounting, but I am asking for some time to settle everything.

Thank you.

So when you write this email you're sure you'll be able to do it, then a few days later it dawns on you that you can't? Did something change in those few days?  Like when you wrote the email you thought the website was generating profit, and then you realized that it isn't?

The tech aspect of this goes over my head, but regardless my hunch is that this hacking thing never happened.

Could you give us an idea of what kind of balances people had on the site?  Also it's unclear to me: Do you think it's your responsibility to pay people back but you just can't afford to do it (and you're probably sorry blah blah), or is your position more like "got hacked, guess that's that, gg guys"?
