3  Economy / Service Discussion / Any update for Bitcoinica? on: November 25, 2013, 01:44:59 PM
Now one and a half year passed, still no progress?
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Am I an idiot? on: October 25, 2012, 02:41:52 AM
Thanks for this information.
You didn't look very hard for updates.  The first hearing before the High Court of NZ is happening a week from today.

Quote from: Tihan
Bitcoinica's investors have been forced to file an action with the High Court of New Zealand. A hearing has been scheduled for Nov 1.

It is likely that this must be the first of several hearings, separated by weeks or months. Unfortunately there is little that can be done to expedite the process without cooperation from Bitcoinica's managing members.

The liquidator's second report to creditors is where you usually start to get a better idea of possible distributions.

7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bitcoinica Consultancy abandons customers. Bitcoinica to enter Liquidation on: August 20, 2012, 09:19:27 AM
3 month passed after the incident...
What's the progress now and when will we get our money back?

Patrick Murck posted a couple of days ago that USD 100,000 and 20,000 BTC retrieved from "Chen" have been placed in Bitcoinica's MtGox account awaiting transfer to a receiver.  When a liquidator takes over from the receiver, they'll make a preliminary report to creditors which outlines the assets available for distribution to creditors and when the liquidation should be complete.

Appreciate if someone redesign the UI. Grin
It seems to be quite useful this program.
Someone has tested? I do not know how to read the code, so I'm wondering ... Roll Eyes
If it really works and is safe I intend to use.
It would be even better if it were made an application for android too!
very promising iamapi congrats!

I don't think this could be ported to Android since it's written in C# (instead of Java) runs a the .NET runtime (instead of the JVM) and relies on some very windows specific functionality.
Might run on a windows phone but I'm not sure since windows mobile programming isn't really my thing.

However there is no reason a similar app couldn't be written for Android, but the whole UI would need a rethink.

My balance there was a little more than 150 BTC. I'll help if I can.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / So.. What's the next step of Bitcoinica? on: July 16, 2012, 06:30:01 AM

Whatever caused current situation, I just want to know the next step.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]MtGox desktop trade tool now open source on: July 15, 2012, 01:29:29 AM
Why don't you spend a little time looking at the code?
Did anybody verified the code so far?

The program is askind for my API key and secret without doing much more... looks a bit strange to me...

Sunny regards from Koh Samui,
 Ecki

It's authenticated using DPAPI before storing in setting file.
The code is here:
https://github.com/iamapi/MtgoxTrader/tree/master/MtgoxTrader

Main features:
1.  Account summary
2.  Realtime trading
3.  Market information
4.  Trade history
5.  Automatic trading
6.  Alert
7.  Secure
8.  Support English and Chinese

I may be missing something here, but I don't see anywhere you have taken steps to secure the authentication credentials.  Near as I can tell they would be stored in plain text.

Other than that, this is some great work Imapi!  Thanks for contributing to the community.

Currently I only trade on MtGox, so if I will move to another trade platform or I have time...
Nice!
Do you have hooks for integrating other APIs ?
