I've deployed an automated market maker on bittrex. It's goal is to provide a tight spread for a 0.1 BTC size. This is a precursor to the LP node support as it will include automated marketmakers that advanced users can deploy. It should just be a form to configure some operating options in the GUI, so anybody so inclined could deploy a marketmaker. However, there is some risk in running a marketmaker if there is a large price movement, so make sure you understand the settings before deploying it with any large amount of funds.
For large KMD holders providing liquidity to the market will increase the value of KMD as liquidity is one of the components that goes into the market valuation of a crypto.
Next step is to extend the marketmaker to provide DEX liquidity.
Once that is debugged, we will be able to offer a decentralized shapeshift type of service via iguana GUI, where the end user is only doing atomic cross chain swaps and not interacting directly with any central exchange
Currently the market maker is set to a very low margin so KMD now has a 0.4% spread, which is consistently one of the lowest on bittrex. If you see quotes ending with 0.777 that is the market maker. It would be good to test out its behavior, so I encourage people to trade against the marketmaker and see if you can make it go crazy
Thanks jl777, do you know when we can migrate supernet assets to the komodo chain?

Will I be able to spend my siafunds with the GUI of 1.0? And will I be able to import my old wallet.dat or wallet.backup?
I am a participant in the genesis account of siafunds. I hope I haven't lost my siafunds forever. But I am not sure. All I have are old wallet.dat's and wallet.backup files.
can anyone answer this? I was talking to Taek on Slack about this. He said I have to wait until 1.0 and that he thinks my Siafunds are NOT lost. Let's hope the best Okay, thanks, must be in the account

Do we have a wallet that will hold siafunds yet?
I am on version 3.3 still (havent opened it for a few months)
v0.5.0 has support for siafunds in the GUI Is there a particular process for me to upgrade? I would hang on for a couple of days until the official 0.5.0 version is released. The available version is a Release Candidate that is rather buggy. thanks, I'm waiting for this, I have an old client also

could you please provide clear instructions how to import siafunds to wallet using your private key ?
I used siag and now I have the .siakey.
Add from and to which Sia versions. Not sure what do you mean ? I recieved my siafunds in the genesis block. To pregenerated sia address. I just downloaded the program to generate te sia address before v0.3.1 was realeased but I haven't been using any sia wallet yet. In the current version of sia, you can use the command line. I don't think there's GUI support yet. 'siac wallet load siag [keyfile]' is the command that you want to run to load the siag address into the wallet. You'll need to restart Sia after you do the loading. We're planning on adding a command line to the GUI at some point soon. It's tough to be certain which features to add in what order. OK, So what we have to save files for future versions siafunds access?

Hi Taek, could you please provide clear instructions how to import siafunds to wallet using your private key ? I used siag and now I have the .siakey. I'm not very tech savvy so if you could do step by step for dummies that would be great. Cheers I have not moved from before client sia V4. for fear of losing them. How the way to a new client?

Where can I trade siafunds?
How can one import Siafunds into the GUI wallet? Please post step by step instructions. You're going to want to be in the #trading channel on our slack. You can get an invite to the slack at https://slackin.sia.techThere is currently no siafund support in the GUI, siafunds can be used through the cli only. ---- How To Migrate Coins from 0.3.3.x Wallets0a. Don't run 0.3.3.x software. Doing so risks triggering bugs that can destroy coins. 0b. Create backups of everything before loading anything. Don't delete any backups until you are 100% sure that the coins have been properly recovered. 1. Find the wallet.dat file that has the coins. Make sure that you grab the most recent one - backups may not contain all of the coins. (It's okay to try loading both the most recent one and the backup one) 2. Load the wallet in to the 0.4.x software. In the GUI, there's a 'load legacy wallet' button you can use. With siac, you can use the 'siac wallet load 033x' command. 3. When asked for a password, provide the password for the 0.4.x wallet. The 033x wallet is unencrypted, you are being asked for a password so the 033x wallet can be encrypted. 4. repeat for every wallet and backup that you find. It's okay to load the same wallet multiple times, and to load the wallets in any order. 5. After loading all of the files, restart Sia. Make sure that 'siad' closes all the way, you may need to kill it in the task manager. As long as you follow step 0a and 0b correctly, you have no risk of losing coins, even if you mess up on the later steps. What is "the cli"?
