How do you choose which to merge mine?

We always try to merge-mine as many as possible of the scrypt-based chains that are still "alive" in some sense. This usually boils down to the two questions "is the code still being maintained?" and "is the coin actively traded?".
If you know of a chain that you think we should add, let us know!

Since September 11, 2014, the pool supports merged mining of Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies, resulting in higher payouts than with a regular Litecoin pool.
We are currently merged-mining Argentum, Canada eCoin, Dogecoin, Huntercoin, Myriad, Pesetacoin, Viacoin.

Any other coins you're merge mining now?

That list is up to date. (If you check the original post, you'll see it was updated just a couple weeks ago.)

I don't think other forum members can see when the post was edited (I can't)

I can see it by hovering the mouse pointer over the date of the post, even when I'm not logged in.
But I agree that it's not exactly intuitive. I'm going to edit the OP to clarify what "currently" means.

pooler, i would really appreciate seeing a larger pile of stats about block solver people.  specifically, the 'last blocks found' would be super nice if i were able to at least get a list of the blocks i have solved (or a particular user has solved) just for fun.

The full list of blocks that you have found is already available. Click on the number next to "Blocks found" in your account stats.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: January 15, 2018, 04:35:21 PM
Hello. I am wondering if ALL the blocks found listed are Litecoin blocks only? Or include dogecoins etc from merge-mining?
The website reports Litecoin blocks, as you can tell from their height in the blockchain.

I have found 4 blocks as shown in account. It seems I would do better solo mining if they are all LTC blocks.
You can't draw that conclusion from a sample of size 4, the variance is too high. In other words: if you were lucky today, it doesn't mean you will also be lucky tomorrow.
Let me remind you that this is a PPS pool, which means predictable earnings, so it makes little sense to look at how many blocks were actually found. I would instead compare your earnings at the pool with the statistically expected rewards of solo mining.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: January 08, 2018, 05:22:37 PM
Hopefully this is a simple and easy question as I'm new to this.  I have 2 L3+ mining on LTCpool.  Is it better or make any difference whether they're both worker .1 and mining at ~1000MH/s together or should I separate them to .1 and .2 so they go 500MH/s each?  Thanks,  Lee
Can I use the same worker name and password for more than one physical miner?
Yes, but if you use different workers it is easier to track your miners' performance. Your expected rewards will be the same either way.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: January 05, 2018, 03:03:04 PM
With the rising price of dogecoin right now, can we see a 110% PPS in the future for litecoinpool?

For 110% the price of Dogecoin would have to rise a lot more! However, we're currently considering increasing the PPS ratio to 102%.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: January 04, 2018, 05:46:20 PM
Do you have a solo mode on your pool? i want to leave antpool but can't find a normal solo pool.

Litecoinpool.org is a PPS pool. If you want to mine solo you don't need a pool, you can just run all the software yourself.
Frankly, "solo pool" sounds like an oxymoron to me. Of course, there are services that make your solo mining setup easier in exchange for a fee whenever you find a block, but we don't do that.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: January 03, 2018, 09:23:28 AM
Just an aside.....www.litecoinpool.org...is run out of the United Kingdom correct? I mean the owner pooler
and if there is a 'source of operations' outside of various server locations, that would be it?
Curious. (Likely, I'm completely off on this)

We're actually two people running the pool. My business partner is in the US and I'm in Europe. The time difference is quite convenient for managing a 24/7 service.

Antminer L3+ unable to establish Support for Stratum over SSL/TLS.

As far as I know, the stock firmware of Antminers does not support Stratum over TLS.

Hi, I've also seen slow hashrate in my 2 miners, always below 500 and before they were always above 500, something change?
Jacktgns, I just had a look at your worker charts, and I see no difference in hash rate between now and two weeks ago. If you're talking about the "current" speed, it is always subject to fluctuations, as explained in the FAQ.
I can't see the data you are referring to
Sure you can, just click on Charts in the top menu. Here's a screenshot: https://prnt.sc/htf5sv

but I can say that I don't think the information that is now showing is correct.

current speed:  507.2 MH/s / 519.4 MH/s
24-Hours: 326.3 MH/s / 321.9 MH/s
https://prnt.sc/htf26b

my boards work without problems.
at this moment I am lucky that it exceeds 500 MH/s
The 24-hour average is low because, as you can see in the screenshot I posted above, your miners were inactive for some time during the last 24 hours.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: December 28, 2017, 09:00:42 AM
Hi, I have a confusion or doubt with the statistics, I have 2 l3+ mining with litecoinpool, in theory my contribution is 1000MH/s. in statistics I always see what I should do 0.1 LTC/d, of course I can not see the next number, it would be clearer if the statistics showed me 0.1x for example, Is there any way to see more accurately the projected earnings per day?
The number on the Stats page is just for rough comparison with the Top 30. If you want to know how much you've made in the last 24 hours, see the "Past 24 hours Rewards" on your account page. If you want to estimate your earnings for the future, use the Calc.

L3+ will not connect to litecoinpool 3443
stratum+tcp://us2.litecoinpool.org:3443
I receive the following kernel log error:
unable to resolve host.  But it connects no problem to 3333  Any ideas?
Port 3443 is for Stratum over TLS. As far as I know, Antminers do not support this.

is anyone else getting slow hashrate on this pool ? my BFGminer shows 290 but im only getting around 250, been like that the last 2-3 days , had a steady 288-290 avareage before that

Paymemt problem, please help

Resolved via email. The CSRF error is due to a Cross-Site Request Forgery prevention mechanism, which can have false positives every now and then when submitting forms, but is easily resolved by simply resubmitting the same form. It is unrelated to payments. The "payment problem" mentioned above was that the user had just changed payout address, but didn't notice the warning stating that this would suspend all payouts for 24 hours.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: December 21, 2017, 08:42:24 AM
It's strange.
2 days that i see that.
I configure an auto payement at 00:05
When i connect to litecoinpool at 23:05 i see on dashboard that my unpaid rewards are 0,155
When i see the payement the next morning i see a payement of 0,1400000

I do not know your username so I'm unable to check your account, but you should make sure that you understand all of the auto-payout settings. If in doubt, write an email to support (include your username).

I'll just leave these here as a reminder.
Why doesn't the hash rate reported by the pool match that reported by my miner?
The pool keeps reporting a much lower hash rate than my miner. What's going on?

that's where the Money had been stolen LXLap2bRLfPv9BA17skAgvkaD2mBzoTHzf - 0.1659043837280256 LTC - 2017-12-17 10:32 UTC

how to get the Money back? is there any arbitration? where to write? about the incident

HELP ME!!!!

If your account was hacked and the attacker has already withdrawn your balance to his own wallet, I'm afraid it's too late now. The pool cannot get the coins back, because a confirmed Litecoin transaction cannot be reverted. You should be able to get the attacker's IP from the list of recent logins to your account (via "My Account" > "See recent logins"), but there's probably not much that you can do with it.
In my opinion the most important thing to do right now is to establish how exactly you were hacked. Given your previous messages, I presume that the attacker got access to your email account, but how did that happen? I would consider the possibility that your computer got infected, and if I were you I would reinstall everything from scratch and change all passwords.

Send me an email and put here on the forum PrtSc. I don't quite understand Your answer: "please contact Your local service provider", All the letters missing, and Your letter hell decided provider not to miss, ain't it funny.

What I mean is that your email account might have been hacked, and the attacker might be redirecting incoming emails. Therefore, I suggested that you change your password and ask your email provider for information about recent logins to your account (some providers even make this information available via their website).

This is the automatic reply that we've been receiving from your email address, the last one today at 20:15 UTC with subject "Re: Password Reset":

how do I log in to my account? I left litecoin??? I again rechecked the mail and in the spam either, and I'm with You corresponded, kept coming back. Now not even recovery e-mail password when forgot the password, but I Password forgot..... Show me the letter that You sent... and the Crap that it would be possible to change the e-mail, but the question number one: HOW to LOGIN???

The email address linked to your account never changed, and the password reset procedure is working just fine. I see that you used it a few times, and every time we received the same automatic reply from your email address, stating that the "letter has been delivered". If you really did not receive our emails, I suggest that you check with your email provider. One possibility to consider is that your email account may have been compromised, so I'd suggest that you change your password.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: December 18, 2017, 08:18:35 PM
Friends! I can't the 3rd day log in to account, write letters, click "forgot password" to reset password and nothing happens, no-one answers me, nobody tells me nothing! I did not change email on your account, if I hacked, why not taken any steps? no communication with support....

We answered all of the several emails that you've sent, and each time we've received an automatic reply saying (in Russian) "your letter has been delivered". If you haven't received our replies, something must be wrong with your email account.

Is it just me or is anyone else having issues connecting?

I'm not seeing any issues on our side, and the hash rate has been stable on all servers.
