1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I am not afraid of sharing bad ideas. on: February 27, 2012, 02:09:12 PM
Atlas, no one cares about ideas. Ideas are a dime a dozen- "Idea-guys" are even cheaper. Results are what people care about. You can have all the ideas in the world, but no one will give a shit until you actually build on an idea and create something. I have an idea that will revitalize the economic health of my home city. Does anyone care? No. Would people care if I did something to realize it? Yep. Even if the project fails in the end, the effort is better spent trying and failing than sitting at a computer regurgitating every thought that goes through your head.

No one likes failure. It sucks, a lot. But you know what sucks more? Sitting there at the end of the day, having accomplished nothing. Failure is preferable to inaction, which is what you are doing. You have talents. But you squander them, wasting your time here on this website and others instead of making use of them.

Hell, why do I even bother? You probably stopped reading half-way through the first sentence so you can try to shout over me.

A parasite requires a victim. The host is harmed in the process. I've harmed nobody. I am not a parasite.

Your definition of parasitism is wrong.

This coming from you is hilarious. Parasitism does not involve taking something by force, which is what you contended on somehting awful:"Parasites are people who take by force. Rapists, The IRS, etc. " When you learn the proper definition, you can try correcting people.

Quote
If I am not providing the correct value in return for what I am taking, it's stealing. I have not stolen anything of value. Parasites steal. If I cost my host nothing, I am only a symbiont: I can only create value.

Like hijacking someone's computer for your own purpose, without telling them, and potentially harming their hardware and/or increasing their electic bill while you reap the benefits. Yep, that's value right there.

Que your response that nothing of value was stolen, the amount stolen was miniscule, blah blah. If you repeat something enough, you think people will give in. You know, when everyone around you tells you you're doing wrong, they just might be right.

You know what the best part is? Atlas saying his crimes are victimless, even when he is stealing and taking advantage of others, makes him a parasite. The one thing he can't stand.

And no, Atlas, before you even begin. A parasite does not take things by force, that's predation. A parasite takes from others without providing anything to the host in return. All the "value" you provide to your victims is not reimbursement for your parasitism.

More proof that Atlas still hasn't been able to buy a thesaurus with bitcoins, he somehow has equated humility with subjugation.

Is there a literary form of selective hearing? Where he can ignore entire sentences, or just gloss over them?
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Humility is garbage. You're too awesome for it. on: November 11, 2011, 09:10:38 AM
You get off on regurgitating this stuff, don't you Atlas?
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: Matthew, I wish to present you a gift. on: November 11, 2011, 05:47:23 AM
value.

How many times have you used this word, and how have you still not figured out what the real definition is?

I understand what your definition is. I don't agree with it nor abide by it. Applies to "favor" as well, pedants.

If you're going to use a language, learn to use it right. This is first grade stuff here, and you still haven't caught on.

Fucking up the definitions and usage of simple words make you come across as a moron that refuses to learn anything. For all you go on about how you know nothing except of your ignorance, you sure do refuse to improve yourself.

Anyone else find it funny that Rassah wants us to side with him in the face of statistical data because of a few anecdotes and "momma says"?
9  Other / Off-topic / Re: Suicide on: November 01, 2011, 11:21:27 PM
Rassah, I'm really hoping this is you being sarcastic, or said with tongue firmly in cheek, because this is ridiculous. This is one of the most heavily debunked suicide myths, period.

70% of people who threaten go on to make an attempt. I thought everyone knew that was a myth. Freaking seriously?! Please stop spreading harmful disinformation to people who might believe it.

Not being sarcastic. Note not a single one of those lists of myths mentions posting on forums or telling everyone. It's a horrible and private thought, and though yes, they try to reach out and leave clues, it's usually to friends, trusted people, or those they hope care about them. Posting about suicide publicly on a forum is 97% chance of begging for attention, and although the person may be desperate and depressed, it's extremely unlikely they will act on the publicly announced suicide. You have to actually look for and know how to recognize the signs of those who are serious. Also, as always, 73% of statistics are made up on the spot.

You're talking out your ass, aren't you? You don't know shit about what your talking about, and it shows. You seem like you're trying to be a funny, snarky internet asshole, but suicide isn't fresh game. Quit trying to be a smartass and shut up.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anyone reported bitcoin capital gains or losses on their taxes? on: November 01, 2011, 07:56:27 AM
You sir are a toolbag perhaps it's the world you live in but ever since the playground era (childhood for the fools) being a tattle tale gets you one thing - zero respect

If you can live with that you should check your pants because your missing a set of balls. No offense to the women of this community if you tattle then your just a C***

Be cool and pay your taxes

And about fire safety. Be cool!! Hope some people get that reference lol

If he wasn't doing something wrong there'd be nothing to rat about. If bitcoin is going to get anywhere, it needs to look legitimate, not childish. People like miscreanity and Atlas are doing everything in their power to make it look like a community of conspiracy theorists and fools.

And seriously, you're using a schoolyard analogy? We're (supposed to be) adults here. If you want to play like a grown-up, you have to suffer the grown-up consequences for your actions. We aren't first graders here.

I like how Atlas still doesn't understand why people had problems with him hijacking other people's computers to mine bitcoins with his website (an idea he's now recycled and is offering it to other people as a "revolutionary idea.")

He wants victims? There were plenty there. Just because the amount stolen from others was miniscule doesn't mean it wasn't a crime. Guess the word "principle" doesn't exist in whatever idiot dictionary he uses to make himself look smart.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: I.Goldstein's charity ponzi on: October 31, 2011, 05:19:07 AM
Surprised no one else jumped on this, but:

Bitcoinduit is just as illegal as playing Monopoly.

You just admitted that Bitcoin is play money.

There you go, misinterpreting his post, moving the goalposts and contradicting your own previous statements.

How's that? Tell me how I've misinterpreted the post. Explain how Atlas saying bitconduit is just as legal as monopoly (a board game where nothing of actual value is at stake, and you use a fake currency) can be construed any other way except that bitcoins do not count as real money. Or do you consider monopoly money to be a real form of currency?

Also, what goal posts did I move? How did I contradict myself? Did you even quote the right person?

As a public relations expert I would suggest one of the problems you are having is one of perception.  Since you have named your game after a fraudulent and illegal investment scheme associated with criminals such as Bernie Madoff, people are assuming out of ignorance that your game is similar to the fraudulent activities of other individuals.

I would suggest dropping those references from your site and focusing on the BitConduit brand as the name of the game.  You still maintain full disclosure of the rules and payments of course.

Just realized that "Ponzi" is mentioned in the Rules.  I've tried to keep the use of the term to unofficial discussions, but not in advertising and webpages.  Thanks for the tip.

Which is why the gif in your signature advertising your scheme has Ponzi in it. Right.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: I.Goldstein's charity ponzi on: October 30, 2011, 05:57:31 PM
I never thought I would see someone defend ponzi schemes like this. Holy shit, you people really don't know anything about economics, do you?

I don't think it is right to use others' CPU cycles without their permission.  It will give Bitcoin a bad name.

Didn't stop him last time he had this idea.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A revolutionary Bitcoin idea free for the taking. on: October 29, 2011, 06:50:37 AM
Every libertarian principle I've ever heard or read about has involved screwing over somebody else. This goes for most bitcoin endeavors as well.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free computers powered by Bitcoin. on: October 29, 2011, 02:01:06 AM
Make it run in the background as a hidden process, so no one can figure it out.

Then funnel the profits into your wallet over the internet, like you did with your website.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NVIDIA GTX 560 (1GB) vs ATI 6950 (1GB) - which is best for mining? on: October 28, 2011, 05:19:05 AM
Yeah, architecture makes a big difference with mining.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I can't post anywhere this is bs. on: October 28, 2011, 05:06:07 AM
I'm going to escape this prison eventually. But I can't think of anything witty to post here.

So instead, have a waffle.
