I bet the transaction has a lot of small outputs, which means you'd need to pay a larger fee. The fee is 0.0001 BTC per kilobyte, not per transaction. |

So I downloaded the .91 beta. But it's back to taking forever to start up. Literally 20 minutes.
Is it suppose to do that. I thought the last version fixed that.
The first time you run the new version, it has to read the block data from bitcoin's data directory and write its own to the armory data directory. This takes a while, but only has to be done once. Subsequent startups will read the block data from the armory directory much more quickly. |

Unfortunately no. Bitcoins were exchanged to Euro to cover productions costs, not held to speculate on exchange rate.
What was the purpose of having the cost a fixed amount of bitcoin, rather than floating against the euro, then? |

Firstbits is broken? Searching for "1Nimda" and "1nimda" report "Firstbits not found", but the link to my address works just fine. Firstbits has been disabled temporarily to reduce database load. At the moment I am not sure when it will be available again.

Here's the thing that sucks about lowering the price... I preordered 6 of these things at 1 BTC each, not thinking that the price would increase so much before they would arrive (they were supposed to ship in October). I might be able to sell 5 of them to local people for 1 BTC each, but definitely not if they can buy them for less from Slush and Stick directly. So because I took a risk and supported this project, I will most likely get screwed to the tune of 5 BTC.

They never really integrated it into their website, it was always an annoying process of calling in, getting an exchange rate, and then paying to their only bitcoin address. Since they removed the bitcoin option, I have paid in bitcoin by choosing Cash then calling in. I'm not sure if they only do that for me or anyone who asks, though. Foodler accepts bitcoins in a much more streamlined manner and has more delivery options throughout the country. I love them. |

FirstBits doesn't recognize nor generates them either, now. Mongo still so sad.
I think that's because they use the Blockchain.info API. |

I noticed the same thing, I created a vanity address starting with 1ECDSA I want to put on my license plate, but for some reason blockchain.info isn't recognizing the Firstbits even though I sent a small transaction to it.

Well, it's less of a bug and more of an unimplemented feature. I haven't gotten around to handling P2SH addresses and the testing that needs to be done to make sure I don't lose people's money. It's one of the things I'll be implementing in the next version which is all about important-but-not-critical updates : Unicode issues, database optimizations, layout updates, P2SH handling and general polishing.
i probably would've done it sooner if I had realized that RAM reduction was going to take so long! I'll have it soon, though!

I am unable to send a transaction to 3M8XGFBKwkf7miBzpkU3x2DoWwAVrD1mhk (the CoinJoin bounty fund), I am given the following errors: You have entered 1 invalid addresses. The errors have been highlighted on the entry screen. Address 1 is for the wrong network! You are on the Main Network and the address you supplied is for the Unknown Network. |

Wow. This latest version is super fast on Windows 7. Like, 15-30 second startup time fast.

Now that ATI (Armory Technologies, Inc) has more resources, we might be able to increase the priority of a pre-compiled RPi build. We have a few other important things to get out of the way, but I definitely would be willing to make that a priority in the near future.
Well, I'll probably be replacing the RPi with a Trezor once those come out, so for me it's not a big deal. |

One other annoying thing about the Pi is compiling Armory for it is a pain in the ass.
The nice thing is you can use it like a poor man's Trezor. I connect it to my main computer with a USB->Serial cable (TTY is turned off) for power and data. It runs a script which listens for unsigned transactions and signs them after you enter the wallet passphrase on the Pi's keyboard.

I brought this up and I think someone suggested it wouldn't work, but why don't you add Google 2FA to the database that would be required to unlock it along with the pass phrase. It seems as though everyone's greatest fear is someone getting a hold of the database and running a brute force attack on it. Especially since inevitably there are definitely some dictionary passwords out there. I know this is possible with a keepass database using this plugin: http://keepass.info/plugins.html#otpkeyprovIt just seems like it would be a great option to be able to enable. Armory runs on your own computer, there is no server on which to do 2 factor authentication. |

I think so too, although the comparison to BFL is a little harsh.
Even though I want to support the bitcoin community .. i dont think its a good idea to harm supporters .. and that is what they are doing by giving newcomers a better price (effectively half the price)!
What I'm referring to is specifically the inability to get a product out on time, and then still pushing hard for more preorders. BFL did this with their ASIC announcement, their bare chip program, their Monarch program... It's sort of like how I'm now seeing TV advertisements for Healthcare.gov even though it is completely and hilariously non-functional. |
