1  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★BetBTC★ Sportsbook & Casino | Bitcoin Sports Betting | Since 2014 | 100% Bonus on: August 23, 2020, 03:53:46 AM

You are right, I meant to write 0.0001BTC, instead of the 0.001BTC. thanks for the correction, the original post was edited.

Regarding the spread on the binary option, and the 6 second delay, we'll include that info, so everyone can know beforehand that.
Regarding the settlement, there shouldn't be a 10 second premature closure, can you please elaborate that?

It's exactly as I said, the timer gets down to 10 seconds and the bet closes. Not a big deal but does seem odd. Also I got BTC historical data for the last 10 days on the 15 minute timeframe (no 10 minute available) from bitcoincharts.com and analyzed it in Excel. Turns out the average price move up or down is only about 0.16%. Your $5 spread is 0.043% of a price of $11600 (current price), which is 26.875% of the average price move. That gives you a rather huge advantage, at least on the 10 minute. PrimeXBT doesn't have any spread, it's the exact same price for buy and sell bets. They do have a ridiculously low payout of 65-85% though, it's 70% on the 10 minute. Point being, your 95% payout looks good at first but the spread means users will lose 26% of the time more, on the 10 minute, than if there was no spread, so it's rather deceptive. Actually it would be a little more than 26% because that was for the 15 minute data. It's probably more like 30% on a 10 minute time frame. So in reality it's about the same as PrimeXBT's 70% payout.

It would be less of a disadvantage on the 1 hour and 24 hour ones but probably most people play the 10 minute one because too hard to predict an hour or 24 in advance. Now if you had a 95% payout and no spread then it would be attractive. Actually I just got the 1 hour data for the last 10 days too and the average up/down was 0.3%, so 0.026% is about 8.66% of that, so it's less of a disadvantage on that one, but adding the 5% disadvantage of the 95% payout brings it up to 13.66%, which is still pretty high. I doubt if even that would be beatable for any great length of time. I guess I better stick to trading BTC on exchanges where I get a 0.025% payment for using limit orders. In other words, I have the advantage instead of the exchange, unless I use market orders, which I rarely do.

BetBTC support replied and it is 0.0001 same as the sports. Now I can deposit.

Yes, we have reduced to min bet to 0.001 everywhere, it includes casino.
The minimum deposit to activate the bonus was also reduced from 0.01 to 0.001BTC

You mistakenly wrote that the min bet was reduced to 0.001 when in fact you meant to write 0.0001. Also a tip to people who may join for the binary options, there's a price spread of about $5 on the BTC one, haven't tried the other crypto binaries. It's not unreasonable, considering the payout is 95%, you just don't know about it until you actually place a bet. Like say the price is $10,000, if you place a buy bet the entry price will be about $9,995 and if you place a sell bet it will be about $10,005. You're basically betting that price will move more than $5 in whichever direction you choose. Just try to do your betting at a time of fairly high volatility rather than a time when price is only moving a few dollars either way and maybe choose the 1 hour or 24 hour time frames rather than the 10 minute so price has time to move farther. There's also a 6 second delay for the bet to register, not a big issue, the bets also close 10 seconds before the timer runs out so it's good of you're winning but bad if you're losing so it evens out. Odd that it does that though. The withdrawals are processed instantly like they say. I have no complaints about the site, just the spread would surprise you if you didn't know about it because it doesn't say anywhere that there is a spread involved.

Keep in mind that you're quoting a post from 2014; so much has changed since then (exchange model went to a Pinny clone + added margin). They did change the sports minimum to 0.0001, so if that's the case for binary options, it's probably just an oversight.
Oh, I didn't notice the year. They have this page linked from their main page so I assumed it was current. On the binary options page when you go to place a bet (I clicked it just to see what happens) it shows a popup right under the bet amount box that says 0.000, so presumably it can't be more than 3 decimal places. I'll ask them through their contact link, thanks for the reply.

Thanks for your feedback!

We were thinking and maybe we would decrease minimum bet stake to 0.001BTC / 0.01 dBTC on the  future when we go to early phase of LIVE.

However that's not a problem for now, you can just register your account and we will automatically credit it with 5 demo bitcoins
With that amount you can test / bet everything on the website, so you don't have to bother making any deposits to see the BetBTC functionalities (excluding deposits / withdraws).

We are working to implement horse-racing! Who knows if it will come with the Live transition  Smiley
It already IS 0.001 BTC minimum on the binary options page, that's the problem, that's about $12. It should be 0.0001 or maybe 0.0002 at most. And I don't see any 5 BTC demo funds in my account, there's 0. Who is going to risk $12 per bet when nobody has much money because of the pandemic? Wouldn't this be the appropriate time to start having minimums on par with such sites as Pinnacle? Theirs is $1, yours is 12 times that. Please explain how you think that will attract customers? I sure won't be depositing until it's down to $5 at most.

Whats wrong with this coin? Why everyone is selling hard..... Huh

The people that stuff all the sells at 1 satoshi obviously has no clue how to trade or how the the market works. They are basically committing suicide. Killing off any possibility of a future market. Once it gets delisted, there will no longer be a TRBO market to trade.

What is the shit happening there. All of sudden "No buy orders". I think some bulls have manipulated it. They put the big selling order on 1 sat. And that will kill the market. But one good thing i can see that there is still a good volume going there on cryptopia. Around 10+ BTC volume there.

I purchased it on 4 sat with 0.8 btc and all my money is stuck there. But i still have some faith because of the volume of trading there on Cryptopia. If delisting happens then i will lose all my money. Finger Crossed.

I have faith in that that's why i am not broken otherwise this is a big loss for me. 0.8 btc is a big money for me. I am not a whale so just hoping to get some good positive movement there.

That's rough. You need to be very careful with new coins. Say you buy at 2 satoshi. If it goes down to 1 you lose 50%. Even at 4 you lose 25% going down to 3. My advice is only buy coins that have had good volume for a long time. You bought into a pump and dump and put way too much into it. Tough way to learn a lesson, exercise extreme caution with cryptos because there's a pump and dump every day of the week. Some of the people with 1 sat sell orders in need to take them down, because nobody will buy into that 10btc sell wall. Lots of dumb people in that market I guess. They aren't even smart scammers.

Gotta wonder where all those 1 satoshi coins in the sell orders came from. Had to be mined. Coinmarketcap says its market cap is $193, not btc, dollars, and there's almost 32M supply. Something wrong there. And this coin has been around for several years? Suspicious as hell.

9  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is CEX.IO a scam? on: January 31, 2018, 07:00:10 PM
I recently joined CEX and I can tell you the solution to one problem, lack of withdrawal confirmation email. I use yahoomail so it may only apply to that one. Though other notifications arrive in my normal inbox, for some reason the withdrawal email went to the spam folder. They're only good for 30 minutes so if you don't look in there and find it then the withdrawal just never goes through. I never saw any reviews mention this. You just don't think to look in spam because all the other notifications went in the main box. I thought I was getting scammed at first. Spam doesn't show up in the new mail count so you just think no mail came in. The transfer hasn't actually gone through yet but at least it says it's processing so I assume it will go through. I'll post again if it doesn't. Also, after the withdrawal was confirmed and it was processing, a notification came confirming the withdrawal and it came in the main inbox. So it's just the withdrawal confirmation email that goes to spam, for some mysterious reason.

BTW another thing about CEX is that they require full confirmations before coin deposits will become available. That means 20 for BCH, which is the only coin I tried to deposit yet. I was waiting around for about 4 hours. Why not 6 confirmations instead of a full 20? 6 is recommended as being safe by most references. But the long confirmation time and email going to spam were the only glitches for me so far. Verification was easy. I uploaded the pics and as soon as I clicked to submit it I was verified. I don't see how anyone even had time to look at the pics. It was like instant verification. Some may say that makes it look scammy, like they really just verify anyone to get their money. I don't know. It was weird but I'm not complaining. Maybe they hired more people or something. Others have complained about slow verification in the past. Maybe the workers got really fast at looking at the pics, who knows.

What I found attractive about CEX is that they only charge $3.80 for CC withdrawals. Most places charge a percentage, like 3% or more. A $3.80 flat fee is the best withdrawal deal I've seen in exchanges. Beats bank transfer/wire or whatever, at least for relatively small amounts. For $1000 that's only 0.38% for instance. You can actually retain some profits with that kind of low fee. Not easy to squeeze a few percentages of profit from a trade so every percent you can save in the process is crucial.

Actually Livecoin is back up, but it says the ESP wallet is offline temporarily. I guess that's what was meant by being down for 2 days, just the wallet not the whole site.

edit; The ESP is now visible in the balances page. Took quite a while though. Maybe it was just that the wallet went offline right after I sent the coins. Maybe it's faster normally. I'll test it later with a very small amount. Guess I shouldn't have said it was a cruddy coin. Maybe it's fine normally.

The wallet is now complete offline on livecoin, for 2 days i can't do nothing with my coins and that sucks!.

Livecoin doesn't respond to messages, i will leave livecoin as soon the wallet works

I don't mind if somethings goes wrong but it is frustrating that they don't communicate.

Yeah that's where I was sending them. So 2 days huh? Yeah that sucks. Cannot catch a break.

Okay. I can't check right now because the exchange is down for maintenance, but why does the block explorer show transactions dated Jan 2017?

I did a transaction today, a withdrawal from one exchange to another, and when it didn't show up after a while I checked the block explorer linked from their page espers.io and it looks like the coin is a little slow. It's currently on transactions from Jan 18, 2017, meaning almost a year ago. So I assume my coins are lost for a year, if in fact i ever get them back. Or is the page extremely slow to load? I don't think blockchain explorers work that way, do they? And also it says no results for the wallet ID. What a piece of crud coin this is. Hey I'll send you some money by espercoin. You should have it this time next year. Give me my coins back, Espers. They weren't delivered yet so find them and give them back or your cruddy coin is dead when everybody reads this.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: December 31, 2017, 06:38:36 PM
Can Iota get listed on Cryptopia please? It's the only exchange I use because they don't require ID scans. It's easy to get listed, just click on "services/Paytopia" on the upper right of the page. It says listings cost 100,000 DOT, about $1400 currently. Subject to developer review, but Iota has a good name as far as I know so pretty much they pay they're listed. A little known coin called Skycoin recently got on there while their applications are still on file at the other exchanges. It's also a new concept in blockchain, so fairly similar to Iota. Good exchange IMO. No issues so far.

Actually I just rechecked the Paytopia page and it appears they increased the price to 5,000,000 DOT. That's like $100k.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: December 28, 2017, 08:47:53 PM
I want to see the price of SKY $ 100, I've invested about $ 1000 a year ago and I'm glad now I get a huge profit but I think the price should be even higher than now.
Well it did rise somewhat over the lest few days. I bought a little about a week ago but it looked scammy so I sold at a small loss. Turned out I should have waited a few days because I could have made a slight profit now. For the price to really increase, Synth would have to do a video demonstrating this system working, tx in 4 seconds and no fees deducted. Right now the Skyledger system is completely unvetted. The obvious question is why Synth would wait around for 4 years to bother doing such a demonstration. Here are the demonstration parameters; two unbiased crypto YouTubers sitting in a room each with a laptop. One sends a tx to the other, timer running. What's hard about that?

jeez dude, just install the wallet on two computers and send some sky around. I did that it worked for me. It's a very simple test that you can do your self. Don't need experts for that.
Well that's something positive then. How long did it take? Try timing it.I didn't want to pay 1 Skycoin to withdraw some to test with. Maybe it works as advertised, but Synth clearly pre-mined a bunch for himself and could simply walk away from the project any time he wants and the coin would die out like all the others. Are YOU going to develop it after Synth dumps and runs?

I've never seen a coin being deposited on an exchange as fast as Skycoin. So you are talking nonsense. If Synth "dumps and runs", lol what?
Any coin can get on Cryptopia. All you have to do is pay $1400. They have a page with the prices for stuff like that. It's in services/Paytopia. It says subject to developer review, but my guess is they'll list anybody who pays. Many coins get on Cryptopia that can't get on any other exchange. Ormeus coin is on there and they're a pure scam. Now it's possible this skycoin thing is real. I guess the developer deserves to get compensation for their work so if they can find people who will pay for their pre-mined coins then good for them I guess. Everybody gotta make a buck, or several million. The coin seems to be doing better on Cryptopia though, so I guess some people are happy with it. Hopefully my suspicions were wrong and it's all on the up n up.

We'll see within a few months. Actually I was just reading up on Iota some more and turns out it is vulnerable to hacking. You only need more than 33% of the hashing power of the network to overcome it. I suspect Sky has similar vulnerability. Skycoin doesn't have the sheer hashing power to prevent a hack. Those supposed miners are low power.

It looked scammy? Lmao that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard. This is proven tech time and again, you go ahead and sit there while we moon and you stay down on earth. They waited years because they are working on the tech before marketing, unlike all the other shitcoins around here.
No there's some weird stuff going on. If that exe file I made from the Skycoin code showed the same stuff as in the actual wallet that means it's a canned readout. That's not real transactions. Did all transactions suddenly stop on Dec 22? Seems unlikely I would sell immediately while some suckers have the price drove up. And Iota is actually a better system, check it out yourself.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: December 26, 2017, 12:36:41 PM
Here's a weird thing. I managed to get the github files to actually produce an exe for skycoin and when I clicked it a webpage appeared of the skycoin wallet app AND it showed the wallets I had made earlier with the official Skycoin wallet download. How could it know from Firefox what my wallets were? And on the block explorer window it actually showed the same results as in the normal wallet, up to Dec 22, 2017. I guess if you have the wallet installed, that exe will access it.
