Depende da moeda, muitas tem uma empresa por trás e quem não gostar, que faça um fork(Ex: ETH e ETC).. Várias tem pessoas assalariadas trabalhando, pagas através da grana vinda de uma pré-mineração da própria moeda, outras são suportadas voluntariamente (geralmente por grandes hodlers como o LTC que acredito que não teve premine e o Lee está lá desde sempre)..

Tentando resumir.. A moeda em si não tem dono, também é raro ver uma moeda que não seja opensource e que um fork não seja possível, o que tem dono é a empresa(se existir) por trás da moeda..


edit: vi aqui que o LTC também tem uma fundação por trás, não sei como funciona financeiramente..
Também há casos onde parte da mineração (ex 10%) vai para essa empresa para continuar tocando o projeto.

NOW, you'll need send 5000 MXT to your masternode address, but, ATTENTION HERE:

Before sending -> Go to your local wallet, that has 5k of MXT, click in "Options / Settings / Display"
and mark "Display coin control features"

Now, in your 'send' tab will display "INPUTS" at top left. Click on it.
YOUR MN ADDRESS NEED TO RECEIVE 5K OF MXT FROM, NO LATER THAN 3 INPUTS.

If you have, ex.: 10 inputs with 500 MXT each, you'll need resend to yourself.

• Create new local wallet address
• Copy this address and paste in 'Pay To' field
• Click on 'INPUTS', select all of them
• In right top, select and copy the amount of "After fee" and press "OK"
• Paste this value in "Amount"
• Click on "Send" and wait 3 confirmations, watch it in "Transactions" tab.

NOW, you can send all 5k of MXT to MN ADDRESS from just 1 input.

Check your local wallet or in block explorer the number of confirmations of this transaction (your local wallet with 1 or 3 inputs to -> MN ADDRESS).
Wait 1 confirmation, go to your VPS and type:

Then you can stop VPS wallet, type:

This is a mandatory update for all exchanges, mining pools, node runners and local wallets before 15 Feb 2019 @ 4pm GMT.

Masternodes update
All nodes on the GIN Platform will be updated automatically starting tomorrow, new nodes are already using the new version. Start will NOT be required from your wallet, just be sure to update your GUI (QT) wallet to the new version and that's it.

Update procedure for nodes not hosted on the GIN Platform:
- Download new binaries from https://github.com/GIN-coin/gincoin-core/releases/download/v1.2.0.0/gincoincore-1.2.0-linux-64bit.tar.gz
- Replace the gincoind and gincoin-cli binaries on your server
- Run "gincoin-cli stop"
- Run "gincoind -daemon"

When updating your local wallets
Make sure a backup of your encrypted wallet.dat file is safely stored on another computer or a USB drive. Although your wallet.dat is not affected by the update, you can never be too careful when it comes to securing your funds!
