The GIN Platform is welcoming two new coins today – Galilel & 1X2 Coin. Deploy GALI & 1X2 masternodes, monitor and manage them at https://p.ginplatform.io/
The masternode ecosystem on Gincoin platform expanded over time.

The coming change of algorithm for GINcoin is promising to prevent and fight against replay attacks.
The new algorithm is a derivative from VEIL's algorithm.

I wonder myself that after the change of GINcoin algorithm, the team will move next with changes from PoW/ MN to PoS/ MN for Gincoin network?
Any chance to see a hybrid PoS/ MN?

New algo, when?
Hybrid (POW+POS/MN) increases security against "51% attack", It would be interesting.

Quick update regarding the GIN Platform seed login.
To protect your accounts, starting tomorrow we are introducing mandatory 2 factor authentication via email on all seed logins.
At your next login after the update you will be sent an email with a code to confirm the login.  What you need to do:
- If you are using Civic nothing will change for you
- If you are using seed login, make sure you have access to the email address registered with the account (My account -> Email field)

2FA via subsribed email. It's good.
I have not used Gincoin service, but I might use later for my MNs.
So, has the GINcoin platform provides 2FA via Google Authenticator yet?

Happy to hear you're interested in the service. 2FA with Google Auth is being discussed, but it's tough to tell if and how and when it will be supported. As always, we do before we promise.

Quick update about the new wallets and the status of the algorithm change to x16rt.

During an algorithm change the network is very vulnerable because the hash power drops at a single block, that is why we do not consider going live with the new algorithm without having the dPoW notarization started, to protect the Gincoin blockchain from a potential 51% attack.

The wallet implementation of the Komodo dPoW takes a bit longer than anticipated, that is why we are delaying the algorithm change date a bit.

The new set date is Tue, 12 Feb. We will announce wallet updates as soon as they are ready.

I think that Gincoin team have chosen right approach.
The upgrade should be implemented as carefully as possible.

It is possible that this problem is temporary. why you don't to try again? or maybe you just need to use another browser to access the exchanges.

Solutions for you.
Closing the browser, reopen it, then type the Crypto Bridge exchange's link, and leave the browser there about several seconds to get fully access.
Remember that, you should not switch to other windows, just stay with the browser and Crypto Bridge site till get access.
Hope it will help you to get connections to CB.

GIN Updates!

We have just released new wallets version 1.2.0.0, they can be downloaded from our Github repo: https://github.com/GIN-coin/gincoin-core/releases/tag/v1.2.0.0

Changes include:
- Mining algorithm change from Lyra2z to x16rt starting 15 Feb 2019 @ 4pm GMT
- 51% attack protection using Komodo dPoW
- Performance improvements

This is a mandatory update for all exchanges, mining pools, node runners and local wallets before 15 Feb 2019 @ 4pm GMT.

Masternodes update
All nodes on the GIN Platform will be updated automatically starting tomorrow, new nodes are already using the new version. Start will NOT be required from your wallet, just be sure to update your GUI (QT) wallet to the new version and that's it.

Update procedure for nodes not hosted on the GIN Platform:
- Download new binaries from https://github.com/GIN-coin/gincoin-core/releases/download/v1.2.0.0/gincoincore-1.2.0-linux-64bit.tar.gz
- Replace the gincoind and gincoin-cli binaries on your server
- Run "gincoin-cli stop"
- Run "gincoind -daemon"

When updating your local wallets
Make sure a backup of your encrypted wallet.dat file is safely stored on another computer or a USB drive. Although your wallet.dat is not affected by the update, you can never be too careful when it comes to securing your funds!
