So my ripple wallet is offline and I can trust nobody
and furthermore the xrp I had from the giveaway I had recieved are no longer available.
So does this mean I should not trust ripple?

Unlike many others I am not in a hurry to go out and sell the gift that was given to me.
I interested in understanding and learning how to develop ideas. Can anyone point me to good reading material to understand how this system works, and at this point I strongly think it can be a great compliment to bitcoins and currency in general. Put it in off topic cause I wasn't sure were I should start.

"Lo que no me mata me hace más fuerte", lo que ha pasado a Mtgox le haré pensar en nuevas tácticas para afrontar las fuertes subidas volumen y a ver si lasa casas de cambio empiezan a realizar algunas acciones para controlar los bots.
La casa de cambio no es todo en bitcoin es una manera de interactuar con el resto de monedas, si tienes ya tus formas de utilizar bitcoins sin depender de ellas puedes estar meses sin pisarlas.
+1 Yo visito mtgox solo para que no se me cierre la cta por falta de actividad. Aunque si se requiere de una plataforma que puede garantizar tiempo real, ademas de estar en regla con las juridicciones donde se maneje las divisas adicionales a bitcoins que acepten. Aunque plataformas como mtgox con el volumen que manejan se traduce a alta rentabilidad. Esperemos que ellos esten invirtiendo en actualizar su infrastructura fisica y legal. Ya que si MTgox cae, bitcoin tendria una caida libre y poco probable que se recupere de la misma. |

What is a better option, to extract the private keys and just save them and import them to a future client when needed or to save the entire wallet.dat?
If a wallet has multiple imported private keys, how many private keys will be exported.
IfI import the private keys to the new client/wallet will the old created addresses show on the new client once it has sync?

Propongo este tema capital.
Si vendes algunos de tus Bitcoins y obtienes un beneficio (incremento patrimonial) teóricamente habría que declarar ese ingreso a Hacienda. Si no, te expones a ser multado, si te resistes te embargarán la cuenta del banco, la casa si la tienes... etcétera.
Me parece esencial tener claro cómo poder disfrutar de ese dinero sin que Hacienda te robe como mínimo el 20%.
Y preferiría no tener que estar para siempre en la clandestinidad.
En Panama todo ingreso generado extraterritorialmente no paga impuestos. mi solución es cambia de juridicción |

Ayer anduve experimentando cosas en diferentes lugares y hasta envie un "ticket" de soporte a una pagina pensando que era dicha pagina me estaba consumiendo mis regursos de red...
Ahora que me puse a indagar un poco mas, me acorde que paralelamente a esto, tenia mi bitcoin-qt encendido. A raiz del "fork" estaba indexando y pense puede ser por que esta indexando y syncronizando que esta consumiendo mi ancho de banda (muy importante ya que tengo un equipo voip ligado, servidor casero y servidor torrent funcionando) nunca habia tenido problemas y todo incluyendo streamear videos en youtube en HD han corrido sin problemas.
Leo que SD crea un numero elevado de tx de bajo nivel considerado spam. Que hacer, syncronizar el BTC client solo on need basis o buscar una manera de bloquear el spam para que no me consuma mi ancho de banda como lo ha estado haciendo.
Alguna idea?
EDIT: Quiero agregar que he detectado una degradación significativa en la calidad de las llamadas voip, donde mis clientes reportan que me escuchas "entrecortados o con interferencia". Y navegar es doloroso ya que demoran una eternidad en cargar o a veces no cargan del todo....
Todo funciona cuando no tengo el Bitcoin-qt encendido
