This is the response that I received when I posted the scenario of a forced trade in. They said they will send everyone their equipment. The change to asic forces you to trade in your equipment. So they found a better way to do it without making you think you were forced into it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77796.msg959572#msg959572HashkingI have a feeling BFL's announcement friday is not going to be good. They are probably going to say something along the lines that if you purchased a single, you will not receive them and you will be the first ones to get credit towards an asic. Kind of a forced upgrade. I'm thinking that they ran out of cheap chips for the singles and that's why they stopped shipping them. BFLAll of the singles and Mini-Rigs will be delivered. We've got more components than we need. Stay tuned for the upcoming announcement. Regards, BF Labs Inc.

I can vouch for him. He is a pretty good guy. I have had some dealings with him.

I guess no one has used any BFL singles with this miner on windows.

Interesting. This has to be a 2.4.3 issue as 2.4.2 works. Now the other issue is that it will only let me run one single. If I try both then neither load.

When I run bfgminer on windows 7 64 with my single I get Icarus Detect: Failed to open bitforce://./COM4. Can anyone help me on this.
Hashking, Have you ever had any version of cgminer or bfgminer working with your Singles previously? Does EasyMiner ( http://www.butterflylabs.com/drivers/) show your Single on COM4? If not, you may not have the FTDI virtual COM port driver installed. You can nab them here: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htmIf you are running GPU's along with your Single in the same instance of cgminer, you might want to try running separate instances of cgminer: once instance for your GPUs and a separate instance for your Single(s). You might also try simplifying your command line to '-S COM4' instead of '-S bitforce://./COM4'; I am running cgminer 2.3.6, 2.4.1, and 2.4.2 on Win7/64 machines with ONLY Singles (no GPUs) and I've never had to specify 'bitforce:' on my command line. Also, the long-hand form of '//./COM4' is only required for COMxx ports where 'xx' is '10' or higher. That's all I can think of for now. Tell us more. First time running any version of cgminer on these singles. In easy miner I'm showing COM4 and I did install the driver. Not sure what else to try.

cgminer.exe -S bitforce://./COM4
Do you have a GPU on the rig as well? And did you setup a pool? (-o site:port -u worker -p pass) Yes to both answers.
|
|
|
cgminer.exe -S bitforce://./COM4
|
|
|
it may have changed to bfl://./COMx
Easyminer is showing com4.

Wow, either they jumped from 4/3 to 4/24 or they really did do a massive shipment and people just haven't updated their status yet. I have a bunch between 4/3 and 4/24 and haven't received one single ship notice.

All interest payments have been sent out.

What time zone is the website operating in? Just my OCD kicking in when I deposit ~1830 CST (+6) and it says it is received the next day (yet its 2100 CST)
I operate on CST. The latest any deposit interest payments will go out is 11:59 PM depending on my schedule. Not sure if the time zone is different of the website but I will check and get back to you.
