281  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: June 05, 2017, 08:26:50 AM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
There is an extremely small chance that Bitcoin will overtake fiat, but there is definitely a chance. However, governments would never give up fiat and take up a decentralised system because they lose all control.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Make money from money on: June 05, 2017, 08:24:54 AM
What are the features that a good investor should have? What are the characteristics of people who have enough capital and earn money from money?

What are the factors that make these people successful in their investments?
A good investor must be able to bounce back after a loss instead of going into a slump where they aren't bothered to do anything anymore. A good investor must also be patient and wait for the right time to buy or sell.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Holding On To Your Bitcoin? on: June 05, 2017, 08:23:18 AM
I would assume that all of us here are 100% sure that Bitcoin is rising in value and the recent correction many days ago is just a temporary setback and in fact Bitcoin is now again rising in price albeit a more timid way.

With this scenario in mind, majority of Bitcoin holders are not spending their Bitcoin but holding them just like a precious gold somewhere in the cyberspace.  The mantra seems to be HOLD HOLD HODL HODL and I am seeing it everywhere in Facebook, forums, group chats and even in cafeterias worldwide.

Together with the increasing demand coming from Japan, et. al., this in turn is helping  push the Bitcoin upwards and once the scaling problem can be solved by August we are expecting that Bitcoin can jumping with joy and a resurgence like we have never seen before.

Just hold them and never be tempted to sell or you would later on regret as if 50% of you died digitally.

I am of course holding quite a lot of my Bitcoin, around 90 percent. But I am also trading with the other 10 percent of my Bitcoin. The price is rising and dropping every day and you can make an insane amount of profit if you know how to trade well. I am currently not that good but still managing to make a good profit.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: June 05, 2017, 08:20:41 AM
With transaction costs rising above $1 the original promise of cheap remittance using Bitcoin is officially dead. Without utility Bitcoin use is limited to speculation only and even further what is there to speculate about?

I would like to debate this and gauge the community's response to Bitcoin experiment.
How is Bitcoin useless? People are using it every single day and they aren't complaining. The transaction costs are also over 1 dollar and Bitcoin is definitely not dead. Just look at the price and you will see that.

Hi, I have encountered the same problem with them, my starting post is 64 and now may all post is 124, so i already posted 60 posts, but when i check on waves campaign, it is said that my starting post is 124 even if last night i check the starting post is 64 and my new post is 60, and now it got reset. Please resolve this. Thanks

SAME PROBLEM HERE I HAVE 30 NEW POST ALREADY, WHEN I CHECK IT NOW IT BECOMES 5, WHAT HAPPEN? PLEASE RESOLVE ISSUE PLEASE.

Didn't you make poor posts, dude?
The posts are pretty crappy, but pretty much all of them are more than 100 characters, so they should be counted anyway.
286  Economy / Services / Re: ~~~WAVES~~~Signature Campaign~~~ on: June 05, 2017, 05:34:59 AM
I wonder why my post got reset. I have 26 posts, and all of them met the standard of 100 characters mentioned in the rules. Now I only have two posts. Can you please resolve this issue? Thank you!

omg same thing happened to me, i have 45 post and i meet the standard rules and now no post show. maybe monday is the cut off for thursday payment but still looking for explanation coming from the admin. Thank you so much.
Exact same thing happened to me. I am scared that this campaign is now a scam. Admin could you please tell us what is going on? I had 5 posts that were decent and now 0.

No, it's not a scam, just some failing technique. The Waves team has always solved everything.
And since the Waves team is probably still asleep, give them time to respond.

My thoughts exactly. It's probably just an error in the script or code or whatever powers the automated system they are using. The Waves team is always fair and honest and will resolve things to everyone's satisfaction I'm sure. I imagine they will weigh in soon to explain what's happening as a new day is now dawning in Moscow.
Well that's great to hear. I have never heard of the waves team so I was a bit sceptical when I saw that my posts had reset, hopefully they manage to fix it soon.

288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: June 05, 2017, 04:08:00 AM
I recently bought a trezor hardware wallet. Have been using it for a week or so now and it has been great. Really easy to use and really safe. Well built as well.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: June 05, 2017, 04:06:31 AM
Over the pat couple of years, I have only been asked about bitcoin by 2 or 3 of my friends. Everyone else that I know just doesn't care about bitcoin or already knows what it is.

291  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of the BTC on: June 04, 2017, 10:42:58 AM
I think many of us, have a huge problem with the volatility of the BTC. And also the technology behind the BTC is outdated. There are huge amount of the other new generation cryptocurrencies that are more secure and adopted to special needs of different economic and consum needs. I have a big problem with BTC because of the high volatility. So i found Minexcoin, that according to the whitepaper might be more stable and less volatile.
I find it weird that most of the votes on the pole are for the security of Bitcoin. I definitely wouldn't think that the main reason for people not investing into was the security. News flash for me I guess.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the future of bitcoin will look like on: June 03, 2017, 09:26:01 AM
I made a video trying to show what the future of bitcoin will look like.
Since the altcoin market in totally blowing up upwards, I'm getting a bit scared that it will go down again soon. It's not a healthy growth, is it?
So, for me a safe harbour of wealth and stability is bitcoin, that's why I keep up the weight at ~30% in my portfolio.
Do you guys agree on how the future will look like? Any remarks? I tried to be as objective as possible.

Cheers,

I definitely don't think that it is a good idea to keep 30 percent of your portfolio in Bitcoin. It is the opposite of stable right now so I would not recommend keeping that much of your wealth in Bitcoin. The altcoin market  has definitely been sky rocketing and would be a good place to invest some of your Bitcoin, so it is not all in one currency.

Happy to be part of this new campaign. And finally back onto this forum.
294  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: March 04, 2017, 12:47:34 AM
How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?

The earth rotates on it's axis so it definitely can't be flat. It is just that simple.
295  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: March 04, 2017, 12:46:29 AM
We have gotten some good recommendations from the Movie Thread... let's get it started for TV Series, as I think a lot of series now are just as good or even better than some of the movies coming out...

The ones that I am following right now are:

Banshee - Cinemax
True Detective - HBO
Shameless - Showtime
From Dusk Til Dawn (The Series) - Netflix Canada
House of Cards - Netflix
Vice - HBO

What other series are you guys watching and would recommend?
I really like shooter and designated survivor. Both from netflix.
296  Other / Off-topic / Re: Android vs Window phones ....... on: March 04, 2017, 12:44:57 AM
its not either debatable as Android is dominating the phone market at the present because of its flexibility.
Yeah. Over 80percent of the phones on the market run android
297  Other / Off-topic / Re: Android vs Window phones ....... on: March 02, 2017, 01:36:10 AM
Apple phones are easier with no problems but. google phones randomly do stuff that you don't want it to do.
You're an idiot. Android phones do anything you make them do, not randomly, and are way more customisable than apple. You can't even get home screen widgets on apple. That's just dumb.
298  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: March 02, 2017, 01:34:52 AM
What are your bad experiences in bitcoin? Not just scammed by other users it could also include HYIP, Cloud mining scams, investment scams, etc. I know it's a bad thing that happened, I think it's better to share them here so you could vent out on what you are feeling.

Feel free to post anything.
Never. Don't be stupid and you won't get scammed.
299  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you survive off bitcoin alone? on: March 02, 2017, 01:31:26 AM
I had to, I could survive off of bitcoin alone forever.

I would simply trade my coin for gift cards from walmart or target for food.
Trade it for visa gift cards to pay bills.

1. How long could you survice?
2.How long do you think it will take bitcoin to go "mainstream"

I included my top 5 places to buy here.

I have a Bitcoin debit card so if I had an infinite supply of Bitcoin I could survive forever. I doubt Bitcoin will ever go mainstream.
300  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2 SIMs + Best Camera Phone on: March 02, 2017, 01:27:50 AM
Hi,

Could you recommend me a 2 SIM phone with best camera available?

As I'm traveling a lot, I want to have 2 SIMs (mine and a local one for cheap internet) + I love to take pics with my phone, instead of separate camera.

Thanks
The xiaomi redmi note 3 or 4 is probably your best option.
