It would be best to set up a government system to handle these issues, you can't really enforce anything otherwise.  Scammers don't care about reputation, they fake everything anyway.  You need a government oversight body, and some international agreements to make sure other countries follow suit.  Bitcoin will thrive once this is accomplished.

Even better to set up a new independent sovereign nation to rule all of bitcoin and take over the world. Muhahaha!!!

Yeah, first there was upboating and now poasting. Both need to be in UD.

To get back on topic.
Hey OP maybe you should start a campaign: Bring Back Better Business Bureau of Bitcoin Before Bernanke Blows it.

Now who will support BBBBBBBBBit?
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BBB of Bitcoin? on: June 14, 2012, 10:15:01 PM

When you go to post a review this pops up:
Quote
Reviews from guest have less effect on the listing's rating, we strongly suggest you login before you poast a review

That should read "post".

Everyone knows that a poast  (a combination of post and roast) is a negative review made popular after the successful 2010 season of American TV's "Comedy Central Roast."

Keep up people, it's tiring dragging all your butts.

Why do our brains fail us?

Why does Phinnaeus Gage only have half a brain?
110  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Is there a tutorial for using screen to auto start cgminer? on: June 05, 2012, 04:59:07 AM
Finally got this working bump  Smiley

I know these are old post but please do Noob a favour and explain how

I am using Xubuntu 11.04 (on HDD) and CGMiner 2.3.2

I have followed the instructions in post #14 to the letter. (I think?)

I can start the Miner from a terminal e.g “ Miner-launcher.sh” Everything works fine. Have Screen, SSH etc etc.
However I cannot get the thing to “auto start” via the /etc/rc.local
 (done  chmod +x  /etc/rc.local)

I have in /etc/rc.local as below, I have tried commenting out “rc.local” and “exit 0“ and “-e" with chmod +x after any changes
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#!/bin/bash -e
/usr/local/bin/miner-launcher.sh 60 &

I notice you have a capital "M" there as in Miner-launcher.sh where the script has it not capitalized. I am not sure that you named the script Miner-launcher.sh, but if you did it would not launch from rc.local unless it matches case.

What I do with the rest is a secret that won't be revealed for some time.
Don't beat off to it for too long, you might go blind and won't be able to read the second edition.

Excellent book, haven't seen the movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1152822/

Interesting that you said Movies/ Docos...so you're interested in both documentaries and fictional movies about economics?

Some of both:

Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), Trader (1987), Quants: The Alchemists Of Wall Street (2010).

116  Economy / Lending / Re: search a loan for 500 btc for 3 month on: May 21, 2012, 11:02:49 PM
I wonder why here the user spamming the threads when they have no interest in an award of loans! if not someone can demonstrate their genuine offer, then he should not write. Thank you!

I have interest in award of loans? How much are you awarding? I can stomach a 60 month loan for .5% interest annually, but I can only handle over 500 BTC for it to be worth my time, I am a busy der Bauer  Wink If can go ahead and send it to the address in my signature, that would be great.

Thanks man.

I slept with the Prime Minister's wife back in the 1970s. It's true! It was really boring and long-winded, and most of the audience nodded off.

Wow and you had an audience? You should have entertained them better though.  Cheesy
