121  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Hey, BitMe! on: May 15, 2012, 09:57:30 PM
I tried to withdraw money less than what was deposited and got an error that I did not have enough funds. I cancelled all pending transactions, so the money would not be tied up.

If you want to Withdraw BTC you'll have to buy or deposit some first  Grin

That's expected then, since you are on testnet. I Thought it might count the test funds in there. Notice where I was withdrawing to? Cheesy

124  Other / Meta / Re: I'm really annoyed by the Bitcoinica thread in the discussion part of this forum on: May 15, 2012, 07:42:49 PM
There are even posts that say "+1" and "sub."  I have news for you... no one cares.

+1

Cheesy

The reason people post "sub" is so that the thread will appear in "Show new replies to your posts". Currently there is no way of making a thread appear there without posting in it. The notify button only sends you an email.

sub, but not the whole thread. Just the +1s. (it's a new feature).
125  Economy / Services / Re: Three drawings required, paying 5 BTC each. on: May 07, 2012, 02:04:26 PM
Thanks anyway. If you still don't have all 3 drawings by the weekend they may give it another shot.

Good luck with the project.

I was just kidding, but I think you should make the head a bit smaller and maybe tilt it a bit for that one

It's cool, I saw you were kidding, I was just pointing out for the OP that's it should be OK that it is meant to be a pokemon style unicorn.

I am not sure he's capable of the changing the angle of the head, but I will tell him. Thanks for the feedback

My son, Houston wanted to submit a unicorn for your site.

Making it more cute then this would require the use of safety goggles  Smiley
I vote for this one (though my vote doesn't really matter).

Tell Houston his unicorn is awesome!

I will tell him. Thanks.

My other son, Evan's submission
Hey this one looks better than all the other ones.

and he is only 12 Grin
12 is old enough for PLAGIARISM

just kidding though

LOL. Ponyta WAS the model for my son. The tattered card is still sitting here on my desk. Referencing another piece of art on its own is not wrong. It's also okay to look at a body of works by a particular artist with the intent of mimicking their style for a particular piece. If you could zoom in, you would see it is a freehand imitation that's not that accurate. The imperfections make it look really cute though. The OP will have to decide if she thinks its too close. If chosen, she can have the original artwork though which should alleviate concerns about trademark infringement.

photorealistic

I think she is looking for less photo realistic and more cartoon-like.
133  Economy / Gambling / Re: [RAFFLE] Butterfly Labs Bitforce Single ~$600 - ~18 HOURS LEFT!! on: May 04, 2012, 09:01:59 PM
Good luck to everyone who has entered. With around 10 hours remaining 1,118 tickets have been sold.

5pm is just around the corner. If you haven't purchased a ticket yet, you better hurry up!

I should have read back further...I don't like those odds. I would not have wasted 1 BTC. Here's to hoping I eat those words.

135  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: AMD Catalyst 12.4 Released today. Thoughts? on: May 04, 2012, 07:39:35 PM
Hey I just noticed that the new drivers were released today.  I'm going to give them a shot right now and I'll let you know if there are any improvements.

My only thought: Don't go into the light!

I'm tempted to say that someone apparently didn't quite understand the actual problem and the ideal way to solve it here...

Don't be too tempted. Maybe it was designed for QC testing USB sticks... Cheesy

Good day to be mining! 5 bitcoin blocks so far... can we get one more?  Grin

This is great...too bad I have one sad mining rig, but I won't complain if they keep coming like this. Smiley Smiley
138  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 4000+ Magic / MTG cards $.02 ea. on: April 26, 2012, 09:28:00 PM
Yeah, I've considered it already.  But I don't know shit about Magic cards so I would literally have to go through every single one and look it up to determine if it was rare, or mythic rare, or whatever.

I just don't have that kind of time.  As it stands, someone has the potential to get some good cards for a great price.  If I did end up going through all of them, they would be priced a lot closer to actual resale value, so the potential for getting a deal would be less.

As I said, we'll see what happens.  If they don't sell here or locally maybe I'll spend a weekend going through them all...

If it has a reddish orange symbol then its mythic rare. I just turn the cards upside down and look at the edge. Grab out the mythics. Really quick, you don't even have to look at the card, much less look it up. Still, going through that many cards will take a while, but not as long as you thought.

see the symbol on the right, middle of the card? That's the one. Flip all your stack over and just look for the color.

139  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 4000+ Magic / MTG cards $.02 ea. on: April 26, 2012, 03:52:30 PM
That's cool. I wish you the best. You might consider looking through and picking out the mythic rares and special lands. Those usually hold their value the best and would make the lot more appealing. At minimum a mythic rare count would be more appealing to us.

Kindly,
nathanghart

Those are older, less desirable sets. I'd be willing to go 10 btc shipped just to stock for online store my kids are starting.
