441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most of the Icos are failing main reasons on: November 04, 2018, 03:26:15 PM
More and more cryptocurrencies are popping up. However, most of them are bound to fail for some of the reasons stated here.
-
1. Bad User Interface and User Experience. Tokens and other forms of altcoins hinder purchases and do not enable a hassle-free method for usability. It some cases, more resources are required to learn and use tokens.
-
2. Long-term value. It needs to have a strong use case. Most ICOs, STOs and Altcoins lack strong solution to real problems. Most are created as vehicles for fundings rather than utility tokens.
-
3. Economics or "tokenomics" are not properly designed such as circulation model or how to burn tokens properly.

most ico do not survive in the long run. Try to see there are a lot of altcoins that don't have a fair price and become the next shitcoin to be dumped. that's why if you want to invest in ICO it must be thoroughly researched and analyzed. use your logic, look for one that truly has team quality, products and technology
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH cross BTC one day ?? on: November 04, 2018, 03:20:47 PM
Will ETH cross BTC one day ??

hope that is almost impossible, you see at this time ethereum is very hard to grow. I think eth will rise again but not for this year, now the red trend always dominates the market
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum prices disappoint you again? on: November 03, 2018, 09:15:04 AM
A few days ago the price rose slowly but this did not last long until the price returned badly. Why?

it looks like ethereum prices will fall again below $ 200, yes I think in the middle of this month there will be a deeper downturn.
some bad rumors about the founder of ethereum have left many investors losing confidence
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are The Bulls Back? on: November 03, 2018, 09:12:06 AM
The market seems to be green again. There's a lot momentum around some coins at the moment. EOS, ETH, IOTA, and so many other coins are significantly well. Even King BTC hit $7k and it has stayed above it for the most part of today. Is it same to say the bearish market situation is over and the bulls back in business to dominate the market?

the market is still bleeding
eos, eth and bitcoin have nothing to pump back to date. Last year I was sure that iota was a potentially good altcoin but until now there was no news about it, so were waves.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gloom or Boom? on: November 03, 2018, 09:08:19 AM

The year 2018 is about to close and yet we are still looking, hoping and even praying for some "miracle" to happen to market that can induce the dreamed bull run we all are wishing for! Some people have already resigned to the idea that maybe it will never happen this year but in the next or 2019 though some are also saying that there are still many days left for this year -- who knows what can be?

I am then wondering: if the so-called bull run will not be happening within this year  do you think we can be facing a gloomy 2019 or will there be an otherwise reaction to it? What do you think...gloom or boom?

I'm not sure there will be a surprise at the end of this year,
there is no indication of the market chart to grow. however, we have hope that in 2019 the market will begin to grow by running Q4 which will help grow in the market
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Developer,team or community on: November 02, 2018, 10:11:48 AM
Who is more important to the development of a project? Developer, Team or Community.
DEVELOPER: A developer is someone who invented a particular project(coin)
TEAM: A team is a group of people that came together to backup the project to ensure success.
COMMUNITY: Community are people that subscribe into the project to ensure continuity by investing in it and also promoting the project.
A developer came up with the project, team working with developer to pick it up from there, then community decide the last part of the project.
Without a developer,we cannot have a project,Great team will surely influence the acceptability of a project, the end result depend on the community, then who is more important to the success of a project?

as a whole everything is an important point in a project's success developers and connected communities become part of the development of the project itself. if you have management knowledge, of course you understand that there is a structural cycle in a development
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Diversify Our Investments? on: November 02, 2018, 10:06:43 AM
Common wisdom for new investors is always of the 'don't put all your eggs in one basket' type. Don't invest all your investment capital in one company. Diversify so that at least if  one investment fails, the other will carry you through. Is there a similar type of advice for crypto currency investors? Is it better to concentrate on investment in just one crypto currency? Or should we diversify? I would love to know what others have to say about this.

for this, it depends on how you use your knowledge and logic when you want to speculate investing in altcoin, bitcoin or ico. there are processes and plans that you have to conceptualize like making some strategy options. in essence the most important points you must always analyze and do not be tempted by fast profits or big bonuses
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ICOs do you like the most? on: November 02, 2018, 10:01:51 AM
What's your favourite ICO right now?

You must be careful to invest in ico especially now.
the worst for ico at this time is almost the entire ico-based financial project, i am not sure it will survive especially in the long term. if you want to choose ico, choose one that has real products and technology
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FAILED ICO - FAILED BOUNTIES on: November 01, 2018, 02:56:27 PM
Is there someone here who really get some big profit with their bounties? I am sick and tired of failed Bounties that I joined, most of them didn't reward my works due to ICO failure.

ratings are quite influential on the outcome of the reward bounty.
but the current market situation greatly affects the value of all tokens. almost overall the results of the current bounty cannot be expected.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Security on: October 31, 2018, 02:34:59 PM
Hi All

What do you use for your bitcoin security, I have been looking into usb style password protectors, but don't know enough about them as to the trust that I should place in them.

Has anyone bought them and would you recommend them?

Many thanks

Airdrop291

the risk level of hacking is not on the bitcoin wallet, but on the exchange. on average most hackers target exchange as their target rather than an individual wallet.
well for me, the bitcoin wallet that we often use is also very safe from hacking because it has an online security system.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China can destroy bitcoin on: October 31, 2018, 02:30:39 PM
very interesting when we hear that academics from Princeton University and academics from the University of Florida have concluded that China has the potential to threaten stability, internet infrastructure, security and bitcoin development.

in the world of mining, China dominates using ASIC vendors. China controls mining hashrate, so they affect the bitcoin protocol.

Is there a solution to stop that potency  ?

there are many opinions that claim to destroy bitcoin. this has been a long discussion and debate, even quantum technology is claimed to be able to unlock the private bitcoin wallet. but again, until now bitcoin remains safe from hacking or destruction
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Sri Lanka on: October 29, 2018, 05:47:00 AM
Last past months Sri Lanka's Main Bank (Bank of Ceylon) was banned cryptocurrencies in Sri Lanka. What do you think is the reason for that ? Huh

the most logical reason for every country that prohibits no more than bubbles. especially in small countries like Sri Lanka. this is not surprising at all
and will not even affect the decline of bitcoin even if this rumor is true
453  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are Calm!! on: October 29, 2018, 05:44:43 AM
People are calm, but slowly some of us are loosing their cool. With the increasing number of crypto scams, few countries putting a ban on crypto currencies and the stagnant price of BTC at 6-7k mark, it has been a tough and tiring year for Bitcoiners!! I mean last year was fun, with bitcoin hitting 20k. I wonder when BTC will stand up again and bring back the glorious days. Hoping for the best.. Cheers

of course what happens now is not the first time in bitcoin history, if you want to find out you can search for readings in various references when bitcoin falls. bitcoin's heyday was in 2017. but it won't be the last time, it's only a matter of time
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will survive in "cashless society" ?? on: October 28, 2018, 11:34:55 AM
It is said now China is a "cashless society". Use of debit cards and credit cards on online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

USA and UK/England are into use of credit cards and debit cards in a big way for online & offline stores/shops, pay bills etc..

Will Bitcoin survive in "cashless society" where money becomes digital/numbers ??

Just like Bitcoin which does not have a physical presence, money/cash will not have physical presence in "cashless society/countries"

maybe yes, but this will take a long time more than a decade, even if every country has done technology as a means of transaction. and for bitcoin, bitcoin is only the second option and not the main part.
455  Other / Archival / Re: Is the world really waiting for a global decentralized money? on: October 27, 2018, 10:16:37 AM
Is the world really waiting for a global decentralized money?

no, of course not.
maybe for our community in the hope of bitcoin, even then if the value of bitcoin is very reliable in its level of stability.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin insurance. on: October 27, 2018, 10:14:46 AM
Hi I eagerly want to that is there any insurance company that offers services to protect investment in btc or any cryptocurrency. If you know please share.

there are many but scam projects. and this is far from the concept of blockchain technology. if you want to invest safely you should leave this industry and invest in banking. that's all you can do
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Social Media to Crypto on: October 26, 2018, 01:43:53 PM
What are your thoughts on these 2 factors when it comes to Bitcoin and other cryptos.

1. How does Social Media effect Cryptocurrency?

2. How does Cryptocurrency effect Social Media?

Your thoughts on both , this could be very interesting.

you can reflect on ico projects and the way they market through social media, it's not just about marketing to sell their tokens. but to introduce more through social media because it is easier to target all levels of society
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holders must remain calm on: October 26, 2018, 01:41:24 PM
I have seen so many people claiming to be HOLDERS, just because they hold their bitcoins as long as the market falls like a few months, they call it that even though their true nature still feels uneasy when negative news arrives and the market does not show positive movement according to what they expected and led to panic. I think true HOLDERS are those who really hold their Bitcoin up to the time limit they specify or how much the coin they hold will grow regardless of outside influences.

what is said will not affect the bitcoin holder. in the current level of the situation it is quite difficult to predict when when will end the red trend
I personally have some bitcoins that I hold until now, some I trade with other crypto.
so if you still want to survive, use your knowledge and experience in any situation
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin bring an end to Paypal? on: October 26, 2018, 01:38:25 PM
In the spirit of mass adoption we are likely going to see the death of PayPal and other payment gateways. Do you foresee the death of PayPal soon by Bitcoin? At some point people would want to feel safe in not tying their credit cards to any online payment gateway. Your thoughts?

can anyone strengthen your argument? I think it's ridiculous
however paypal is the most trusted transaction tool today. if to beat paypal it is far from possible. how can it be, because we know bitcoin is an unruly value.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Practical is Bitcoin As Payment Service? on: October 25, 2018, 09:36:16 AM
i am new here and i came to ask fellow users about how practical bitcoin as payment method is? i paid for domain on namecheap via bitpay and it was okishh experience. I mean how much i can use bitcoin to pay online for shopping, services and goods?

the choice is not much, but maybe friends here have recommended that you can spend bitcoin.
I am not sure that bitcoin will be adopted and used as a practical tool for online shopping, because we know the value of bitcoin is very difficult to control. this is the basis of my judgment
