If you wrote the wrong post, you will be left without an account and without money Smiley Very convenient!
^This.

To answer the OP, most definitely not.

I have a suspicion that a big part of their content being filtered is the larger number of right-leaning posts/articles that have peen posted in the past few months;  just check their article title history.

That was my thought when I read they were shutting down the other day.

I've never had the problem on facebook but my twitter account was locked and then suspended a few months ago, no chance of speaking with a human and the only response I've gotten has been an automated one and placed in limbo in some queue. Hopefully you'll get it straightened out but on the bright side, the universe is probably doing you a favor.
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: A GIFT FOR MY PARENTS on: May 22, 2019, 08:11:22 PM
I've given Bitcoin as a gift to family members but they were already VERY interested and knowledgeable - and very aware of any scams they may encounter.

I think giving money/giftcards/bitcoin as a gift is kind of a cop out and shows very little thought behind your gift.  Always prefer to give something from my heart that I know people will really cherish.

As I said, though - they were already very interested in Bitcoin and in every instance my gift was very appreciated and to this day brought-up as they've furthered their holdings and love for Bitcoin. Now as far as cash and gift cards, I agree with you and refrain from giving those as gifts unless the odd person just loves getting cash in lieu of presents.

I'm nearing 5 years since I stopped smoking cigarettes and started vaping, I only wish I had started sooner and dropped the cigarettes but I feel great and would never go back.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about online dating? on: May 09, 2019, 01:25:12 PM
Fun can be had via online dating - also, you may meet many a crazy person as I have lmao I've had some really bizarre dates through online dating, it is amazing how some people can appear normal over online conversation and then turn out to be batshit crazy but then what is life if it is not exciting? Aside from a few bad experiences, I've had some really good ones, too, though.

I believe that the more friends a person has, the worst

Yep, more "friends" ='s more drama and unnecessary b.s. You should be able to count your true friends on one hand.

A "Fat Sex Therapist" recently gave a talk at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, in which she compared personal trainers to Nazis.
She further compared a parent putting a child on a diet to sexual assault.

"Tonight we're gonna start by talking about how to politicize our definition of body image,” Rashatwar began, “because oftentimes we actually get stuck thinking of it from a white supremacist lense.” She explained how “white supremacy happens every day in all these little little things."

14  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will happen to you when you wakeup and see Bitcoin is zero on: April 23, 2019, 05:01:40 PM
That's one thing one shouldn't worry about, regardless of what the naysayers and mainstream media say, there are some powerful forces investing and building in Bitcoin and where we are now is nowhere compared to where we will be in the not-so-distant future.

The title of this thread reminded me of this article from a while back:

Quote
“We have seen that these technologies are quite robust. Chains do not just disappear, they are resilient and stick around. Many of us spent years proselytizing for these technologies in general and Bitcoin in particular. As a result, it had immense goodwill and brand recognition built around it. So there will always be a community around the brand that will ensure that that chain makes progress.”

Quote
"Bitcoin will never go to zero because it is a hedge against falling currencies, inefficient economies and increasingly systemic inequality. Bitcoin represents the currency of a better future for society, and people will always invest in their future."

Truly disgusting. May those who lost their lives rest in peace and may those responsible for these cowardly, vicious attacks be judged and punished harshly with extreme vengeance in this life and any hereafter there may be.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: In all profession, who has the most important work in our society? on: April 18, 2019, 12:29:07 PM
From doctors to ditch diggers, every profession is important. Well, all save for social media "influencers", we'd do fine without them...

Truly sad, when I first saw the news break-in and the images, I was shot-back to 9/11. Hopefully this turns out to be purely accidental. Hopefully.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Austrialia wants to ban online anonymity - globally on: April 15, 2019, 04:38:12 PM
I may not support the ban of online anonymity when it comes to financial transactions such as  blockchain and cryptocurrencies, but on the issue of trying to stop hate speech on the social media I believe that is a food move in the right direction of you consider the havoc hate speech have cause in our society recently and social media is the vehicle use to convey this hate speech all around the world.

Think of the havoc caused by the oppression and suppression of freedom of speech, be it hate speech or any speech... I just can't comprehend how people can fall into this trap of thinking anything good can come of this, especially those in the Bitcoin community.

The Vikings. One of the best shows I ever watched. Currently I'm on season 4, what I like is that it dont have too many episodes, cause when I watch something, I dont want to feel obligated to watch it for years.

Great show, started watching it around the new year, burned through it and now I'm stuck waiting for season 5 to start.
