181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: XAURUM Signature Campaign [OPEN] on: July 14, 2016, 07:42:23 AM
Nice giveaway. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xaurum/ XAUR is equivalent to $ 409.76 and this campaign is giving 1280 XAUR each participants?
I gotta join this, can you clear this out please.

it is a different coin, been answered by yahoo in the first post Smiley

I doubt about the payment , OP said everyone will recieve 1280 XAU , while XAU price is 0.6 BTC , it is impossible , I think it must be 0.1280 XAU , am I right ?

These are 2 different coins by the same company. Click the banner in OP and you can read all about it in their ANN thread.

Missed it. so how much is the value of 1280 XAUR which is new?
I don't see the real XAUR which has a value of  $ 409.76 being discussed here in the forum every day. maybe this new one is for the word to be out. which is the official thread of this new one?

here is the official thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1546279.msg15544981

i don't know about what will be the value of the coin but they will pay the equivalent of it for .1btc to all users so even the coin only worth 1satoshi each then they will pay 10m XAUR

During RICO 1 XAU will split into 8000 new XAUR and they are giving 25% of discount for new investors. This means 1XAU=420 USD -> 1 XAUR = cca. 0,04 USD (RICO price). Old XAU will be replaced by new XAUR. They are switching Blackcoin blockchain for Ethereum.

Interesting, but how can we check if hold your word?

Where do you store and how do store your gold reserves? Do you have a official partner? Gold bank?

As written in announcement in the part "Story so far", the gold is supplied by Nadir (LBMA certified) and stored at Loomis (biggest in the world).
183  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / Re: Xaurum - Bu nedir arkadaş? on: July 11, 2016, 04:41:34 PM
Exclusive contract with NADIR for gold.
Exclusive contract with Loomis in Istambul for gold storage.

They started Rebirth ICO:

Is Xaurum a good alternative? I don't like coins other than Bitcoin, but Xaurum seems like a good coin. I can't believe the price, too. It's 476$ right now! The coin is 34. On the marketcap rankings. It has a pretty small supply though, 7. 487 coins. The supply is small and the market cap is little above 3 million dollars. I can't believe the price.

I haven't tried it yet. What do you guys think? Did any of you try it yet?
Xaurum?is unfamiliar for and I never heard this coin. well, I wanna to try searching some information about this maybe can make me interested in them.
I accidentally stumbled upon the coin while scrolling trough the market rankings. I spotted it because of the high price. It's like the recent Bitcoin price.

They started Rebirth ICO. There is a lot of info. Everything collected will be invested in gold for XAURUM coin owners.

They are putting all the collected money into the value of the coin (buying gold). So I'm all in.

Here are the stats for the 153th payout:

The mints have minted new 12,61745835 Xaurum and backed Xaurum with 72,38970588 more grams of gold.

We now have 7499,149492 of total Xaurum money supply, backed by 16966,23413 g of gold. This means every Xaurum is now worth 2,262421111 g of gold and can be melted at this ratio.

Nice!

FYI: There is a new FB page on XAURUM. Like it to get more additional info.

187  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: April 16, 2016, 07:18:54 AM
You're taking a lot more counter-party risk if you buy Xaurum as opposed to buying or holding pure physical gold though.

Why? For me it looks clean as it can be.

i have 0.23 xau at cryptsy are they now lost??

Most of XAU were saved. I believe they had a limit on 1 XAU withdrawal.
189  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: April 15, 2016, 07:58:27 AM
If you want best of gold and crypto, then take a close look at Xaurum (XAU).

How many XAU shouldi have to be able to mint this

None

If you want to have your own mint, then you need 1000 XAU.
If you want to mint XAU through existing mint than you have to contact the mint owner.

So, you can PM me if minting is needed.

Great!!! Almost 2g of Au for 1 XAU 👍👍👍👍
What do you say/think about the results?

It's a very solid start. Expected. Nothing special. Just a beginning.
Bright future has good foundations.

nobody care because no marketing and hype
David Zimbeck still working on it :-)

don't forget this, thanks to him

and don't forget he's also still working on BitBay which offers similar features Smiley
as far as I see, it's the first decentralized marketplace working with smart contracts.
running since many months but no marketing and hype

Best solutions use the best marketing tool - TIME. Only time shows what is true worth of anything.
Blackcoin is good and getting better with time. Its innovation is the foundation of at least one great coin.
This coin will be in history books as one of the most important ones.

Just wondering, has anyone who has >1 XAU attempted to melt at the given ratio? I am currently buying and building to test this myself, however it'll take me awhile as my mining is VERY smalltime. I love the idea of the coin (as stated multiple times before), but will likely up my game after I have a couple grams in hand Smiley

You do not need >1 XAU to melt 1g of gold.
Currently you need  0,5114 XAU for 1g (1g/ 1,9554g/xau).
194  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: March 02, 2016, 12:33:45 PM
If bitcoin price goes to 1BTC=1USD after 20 years then you only have 1 day left after that 20 years then I guess 1000BTC is enough... Cheesy

Agree. If you hold BTC for 20 years, you would need 1 mio btc or more to retire.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: March 02, 2016, 12:30:59 PM
I will choose both as both have their own advantages and disadvantages, bitcoin is good in short term to make some quick profits while gold will take care of my investments in long term.

Sorry, but you're wrong, Bitcoin is not short term. This is just the beginning .. It doesn't change the fact that it is best to choose both - Bitcoin and gold. I would even say that it is worthwhile to have something more .. Separation of the investment is the best strategy.

I would prefer a crypto currency backed by gold. This way I would get the best of crypto world and the stability of gold.
196  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: March 01, 2016, 01:14:02 AM
Since gold is steady at $1200 and bitcoin is on the rise. It is hard to decide which one to back.
Why not have some bitcoin and trade with that and also have gold as a reserve fund to come back too when the times get hard?
Isn't that what most people do that can afford to hold some gold anyways ?

"Gold steady at $1200"?!?! - good joke
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ETH] Ethereum = Scam on: February 25, 2016, 11:11:21 AM
Money invested into ETH has just one very basic goal = earn fast and easy.
I'm certain the current investors are not willing to hold the coin because of its value. They will sell it and move on to other similar opportunities.

What do you think of other opportunities? From the Poloniex, the Ethereum is still the largest trading volume.

Popular switch was/is to MadeSafe or BTC.
Point is nobody is buying ETH to hold it.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ETH] Ethereum = Scam on: February 25, 2016, 10:20:39 AM
If my posting here increases the value of ETH then I will redouble my efforts.  Thanks.  As you can see by the ETH price recently I've been slacking.

That would be an agenda now wouldn't it..

Not only are IPO coins like ETH scammy but ETH's launch was more so than the usual.

Enjoy your scammy ass IPO shit coin scene girls.. you are not getting my money.  Cool

The Ethereum price has risen recently. I hope it is not due to his posts. Otherwise, he is too powerful.

I totally disagree due to the gold has always been a nr.1 currency's globally, I do not see this happen with the bitcoin because the bitcoin still has to proof itself, also its digital so it can be destroyed and it has a lot of downsides because its digital if you ask me.
The second reason is that gold is already used for I do not know for how long, the bitcoin is new, think about what I'm gonna say now, the bitcoin is a digital currency and it can collapse as you can see its very unstable and also got a bad name if all currency's will collapse which currency will get used again ? Gold of course because that is the primary currency on the world, gold is a lot bigger and also very stable and it can never get destroyed if you ask me.

I agree with your opinion on gold. It was, is and in the future will be the most powerful representation of value.
I also like crypto very much.

This is why I invested in XAURUM. The only crypto currency fully backed by gold. There are two major features of XAU (besides others):
1. the quantity of gold represented by 1 XAU rises with every coinage.
2. if needed, you melt your XAU and receive the gold at your home (1g 999,9 good delivery)

The coin has just started and is going to have a very bright future. Its the only crypto coin with base value more than 0.

How exactly do you "transform electricity into grams of gold"?

The process:
1. On the Goldmine pool you mine minable coins - this is the electricity part.
2. Than they sell those coins in exchanges (except BTC) and get BTC.
3. They sell BTC for USD and they reward miners with XAU at the same time.
4. They buy GOLD with USD and this is how newly released XAU get backed by gold.
5. Because of the beauty of this coin, there is more GOLD than needed for new XAU backing - the rest of the GOLD goes to commonwealth = they increase the quantity of gold backed by every existing XAU

Hope this helps.
