1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Bitcoin Miner Dragonmint T1 16T - lot of HW on: March 26, 2021, 08:39:51 AM
Hi, I just purchased a second hand Dragonmint. I have 2 weeks to test it and return it or keep it. I used a lot of Antminer before, this is my first Dragonmint. I'm running it since yesterday. The hashrate is pretty good and I can use the autotune to make it less hot.

https://i.imgur.com/bP4adaS.png

My question is after 8 hours of usage there is a looot of HW, and some rejected share. I know with Antminer it's for hardware fault and I guess it's the same here. Do you think I must worry about it ? By the way, I read that the max temperature must be 75°C, should I worry too if just after start it the first time it was to 78° ?

Thank you for any advice !

Salut,

Merci d'avance.

Ok good advice,

in fact somebody give me that link and that's why I find that miner but don't remind the next step on how I was on this scam, I guess on google.

Wow dude thank you very much.
I don't know how I reach that page, I was sure that was the official and legit page.
I will remove my link to avoid people click on it.

By the way on the innosilicon site this miner even don't exist, I guess it's really a scam.
Thank you

Hi everyone,

I would like an advice about investing in ETH mining right now, 1 month before the Ethereum Berlin Fork.

When ETH will be only with PoS, mining will become useless. Do you think it's a good time to invest in stuff to mine Ethereum now ?
My idea is even after the conversion to a PoS system, some coins will continue to work with PoW and ethash protocol like Ethereum Classic or Atheios.

I want to invest a bit in an ethash ASICS miner and switch on another altcoins when Ethereum will be full PoS.

I read a lot the last days but I really don't know if it's a good idea. Actually I'm 50/50 also that's why I post here my question.  Embarrassed

By the way I found this miner actually in presale and will be delivered in June 2021. Do you think it's a good idea or a really bad idea ? 2Gh/s seem huge!
I don't know if I can trust innosilicon and I don't know either if I will mine Ethereum one day due to the switch to PoS.
I removed the link, it was maybe a scam.

Sorry for my approximative English.

And thanks for the advices !

6  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 troubleshooting - bootloop and possible malf. chip on: March 10, 2021, 11:11:12 PM
Hi mikeywith, thanks for your answer.

That's what I guessed too, about no rest during 4 years.
You talk about phill but I don't know who he is ?

Yes now I will accept that this miner will mine with only 2 boards. I was afraid that it will consume power for the second hashboard but I guess no if he don't detect it. I can too unplug the second hashboard from power.

At least the seller refund me 33% of the amount.

Best regards.

Hi miners, I open this post again cause I have it seem the same problem and want to know if the OP fixed his problem.

I purchased 1 month ago 2 second hand S9. One work perfectly but on the second, the chain #7 is not displayed in the interface: https://i.imgur.com/a5uuHfC.png.

I contacted the seller and he tell me that before sending to me the S9 was tested and it worked very good without that problem.

I search then a solution on Internet, I already flashed multiple time the firmware, I changed the power cable position, I inversed the cable to the motherboard, I inversed the PSU with my other S9 who work good, I moved the miner into another piece.

What is strange for me is the Kernel say there is 0 asics on chain[7]:

Code:
driver-btm-c5.c:13421:bitmain_c5_init: Chain[J6] has 63 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13421:bitmain_c5_init: Chain[J7] has 0 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13449:bitmain_c5_init: retry Chain[J7] has 0 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13449:bitmain_c5_init: retry Chain[J7] has 0 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13449:bitmain_c5_init: retry Chain[J7] has 0 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13449:bitmain_c5_init: retry Chain[J7] has 0 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13449:bitmain_c5_init: retry Chain[J7] has 0 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13449:bitmain_c5_init: retry Chain[J7] has 0 asic
driver-btm-c5.c:13421:bitmain_c5_init: Chain[J8] has 63 asic

But if you look just before the end he set frequency for every asic in Chain[J7].

I'm not very good with electronic and electricity to open this miner and don't want to make it worst as he at least mine at 9TH/s. Somebody can help me by any sort ?

Sorry for my english, I'm from french part of switzerland. Thanks for any help!

not needed to sync a wallet to export private keys
incase u dont know whataddresshold coins u can export em all
a description is i think is part of answer 19 here

https://diamond-info.github.io/

its the dumpwallet stuff

Thanks for your answer.

Also the command dumpwallet doesn't exist in v2.1.0.4. I found the command listaddressgroupings who returned me 4 addresses.
Then I dumpprivkey each one and receive 4 private keys who I imported in the new wallet core v3.

Is running fine and I have my transactions in the new wallet, also my DMD.

The problem if I calculate the sum of transactions between both wallet it miss about 1000DMD.

I don't know if there are the one my wallet minted. Maybe do you know another command that dumpwallet cause in your link the examples are for the new wallet.

Should I export transactions for every wallet then search for the missing ?

Edit: well it seem he don't add my transaction before 2017 are they lost ?

Thanks
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [DMD] Wallet 2.1.0.4 not synching to send my DMD to new wallet on: February 24, 2021, 10:21:47 AM
Hi everyone,

After long search on Internet and despite my effort I cannot found a solution to my problem also I post here maybe someone can help me.

I didn't started my DMD wallet since 2018 and now I must do a special trick to transfert my DMD to the new wallet v3.

One Diamond founder send me this document https://bit.diamonds/how_transition_short.pdf by mail.

Also I add some nodes in the diamond.conf and it work, I have actually 9 connection to the network. But the wallet didn't start to sync and I don't know what to do more.
Since 24h my wallet is launched and take about 2% of my processor but it seem nothing append.

My second problem is they said to go to Send Coin > Coin Control and exporte private key of every address. The problem is there is no address in this list.
Must I solve my sync problem to see addresses there ? Or I have another problem ?

In every other altcoin I own with a core wallet, the sync start when I start the core but not for Diamond and I don't know why and finally how to transfer my coin to others wallet.

Thank you for your help.

Hello I hope you understand my english. This subject make me some questions.

1. In practice, is that mean more the difficult is high more leading zero must have the hash to build next block ?

2. For example a 1GH/s SHA-256miners can calculate a very high difficulty ?

3. Or with a 1GH/s in solo mining if you force the difficulty to 1 when the coin is like bitcoin, is that possible ? Is that good ?

4. If I mine in a pool, who ask for less leading zero (depending the pool), is that mean sometimes a miner found an hash with more leading zero (acceptable for the coin difficulty) than this hash solve the block ?

Thanks for your help   Wink
