So has anyone at hashfast posted here?
542  Bitcoin / Mining support / [.25 BTC Bounty] Cannot use more than 3 cards on GigaByte motherboard on: December 25, 2013, 06:28:37 PM

I cannot get 4 cards working with 1x risers or 4 cards working at all for that matter. I have never POSTed with 4 cards plugged in.

Specs:

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AMD AM3+ 990FX Motherboard
R9 290 Video Cards
Enermax Revo 1500W PSU
8GB Ram

Works when:

3 cards plugged directly work
1 card with PCI-E 1x riser in 1x port works
3 cards in PCI-E 16x slots with 16x risers work

I get black screen (no POST) when:
Using 2 cards directly plugged in and the other 2 in 16x risers.

I live in Houston Texas and have a setup here at home. I will give .6 btc if anyone wants to come and try a solution.

Couple of thoughts.  You have 42 cards? What kind of GPU's are they?

Not sure how you are getting to 42,000 watts, that is WAY more than 42 cards worth.

I run 4 R9 280x cards per rig, and it draws about 1200 watts, or roughly 300 watts per GPU.  Not many cards draw much more than that (excepting the 7990).  You should be around 10,000 - 12,000 watts total for 42 GPU's, so 12KW

How much are you paying? Every data center I have dealt with has always been more concerned about power, more-so that space, cooling or even bandwidth.  Power is the driving factor in a data center.  I have seen some datacenter "specials" as low as $99 per KW, so that would put you around $1200 a month.  Is this in the ballpark?

On another note, 85c is pretty hot for the GPU's and I would be a little concerned about their longevity if they are run continuously at that level.  Spreading them apart and maybe undervolting a little will work wonders for them...just a thought.

Lol did you not pay attention to most of my post?

I said the cards are going on risers, to have them separated. They will run cooler. They are running next to each other temporarily.

108 total cards. ~80 being used in the pic. R9 290's. My rigs actually run at 1300W, rather than 1400w as I though so total of about 35KW.

I will not get into the price to host at the data center. But I will says it's about ~1.5x more than the original electricity cost give or take.

For some reason every time I tell someone about the price I pay for any service, I get blasted and say I'm paying too much.

Idk why they would take it down.

Idk why they closed the account.. This doesn't look good. It had boards being bakes, a lady checking it for QC.

Heads up, the latest video of the Baby Jets at Ciara is not on YouTube anymore.
547  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Eager for hashfast to ship so KNC will sell more miners on: December 24, 2013, 11:28:24 PM
Why is the video in the OP no longer view able?
548  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Colocation vs Small Warehouse on: December 24, 2013, 02:19:16 PM
Thanks guys!

The cards are supposed to be on risers and "floating" with about 1.5" of space between eachother. There are supposed to be 4 cards for each rig. I had some problems with the long risers I bought and ordered some replacements. Cards stay at around 85 degrees each right now which is pretty good for being right next to eachother. The DC stays pretty cool.

If anyone is around Houston Texas, hit me up! I'm sure I can get you in for a good price! They are going to put a cage around us soon.

My Brother and I took some Vodka shots for him today. He loves the AK platform. Has Saigas in x39 and 5.45. Great inventor. Will be missed. Much thanks.

They all sound nice. Up until the 17th of October, they were all telling me they were on schedule. Then they switched it to a call center outsourced.

Also, what if I already paid for overnight shipping?..

Where the hell are these guys??
552  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 23, 2013, 01:19:21 PM
Wow really?

After all of our questions, lies, and waiting, you refer us to the forum rules?

Nothing more pisses me off than making a valid argument to someone and they switch to another argument as a comeback.

For someone that has about 100,000$ of mine (not in BTC, in USD), you are starting to piss me off.

Give us something informative. I'm getting tired of the ongoing lies.
553  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 23, 2013, 10:46:47 AM
Someone posted it like 2 pages back. Or in the other thread.
554  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: December 23, 2013, 07:58:53 AM
I wish you guys didn't promise December so we could enjoy that video as much as you do. It's very impressive.

The chip shooter and wave solder are my favorite parts!

Whatever happened to the Eduardo Tweet? And Saturday shipping?

Can we get some real transparency?

Where are these guys at HashFast? Aren't they supposed to be shipping today? I'm getting tired of checking Twitter and this post to not see any communication from HF.
