1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Right Now: Will Do A Bull Run Too? on: May 18, 2019, 11:46:34 AM
I guess that the bull run is here, or at least we see its signs. I always believed in this project. I will go on supporting Ethereum as I think that it is still low in its price. The alt will grow and can reach more than a thousand.
If it’s not Bitcoin or Ethereum, which coin will be the most reliable again? There is still no coin that has ever been created that will ever be as perfect as the technology of BTC and ETH, so these 2 will always be the choices of any one that is being introduced to crypto and wants to join crypto.

I believe that with the way this market is going, even with all the corrections we are seeing which is normal and should not discourage us, ethereum will get to $500 on or before the end of this year, I am very optimistic about this, as usual, we just need to continue to become patient as usual till we see the glory days.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming potential ICOs/IEOs on: May 18, 2019, 11:06:41 AM
As bitcoin is on its bull-run phase, more money will be poured into the market. ICOs/IEOs will be consequently benefited from that. This has been proven in 2017's end. Do you guys have any recommendations for upcoming potential ICOs/IEOs? Give some explanation for your choice if possible.
I wouldnt say that we are in bull-run phase, the price dumps to 7k level so fast but still IEOs are good investments in a short-term as it gains a lot of profit due to hype. But be careful in picking the right IEO as most of them looks shady and some copy-cat projects. The best exchange launching IEOs right now are Binance,Okex,Huobi, Kucoin and Bitmax.
The rice dump is not enough to judge that we are not in bull run, isn’t that normal and the way bull run operates, price dump is the one that gives a push for the coin to reach the next level, without correction, we might just be getting a stagnant value.

When there is a little correction, people takes quick opportunity to buy and that process is what takes us to break the next barrier depending on the force and the number of people taking that price dump value to invest. This will even be the best time to participate in IEO projects, because I can quickly sell my IEO token and use the profit to buy any dip of bitcoin value.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When the growth of altcoins? on: May 18, 2019, 10:27:57 AM
Altcoin are growing due to market rise and crypto has a good value in the market so people come for buying now i personally invested in altcoin because i believe that crypto will be more good in future and altcoins are good for those who have patience and hard work. Now a days altcoin growth is started and soon it will be listed on stock exchanges.
This point where they sell is where we usually call the price correction, the reason why we usually see suddenly sharp increase in rice after price correction is because those investors that sold, are not selling with the intention of converting their holding to fiat and transfer back to their local traditional bank, but they sold in other to be able to accumulate more coin.

Therefore majority of them end up putting all the capitals and profits back into the market after they see a price dump. I am really expecting the price correction we get recently to help us push further as they put back all their investment with other new investors that will take advantage of the dip.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Happy And What Are Your Plans Next? on: May 18, 2019, 09:54:23 AM
We have now seen if prices start to grow, bitcoin has price of more than $ 8k and ethereum $ 240 or maybe some of the altcoins you hold also have price increases, so do you plan to hold it all or will it sell at price now? or do you still plan to leave Crypto? or maybe you regret not buying a lot when price drop yesterday?
None. I'm not selling at this moment.

Since I'm holding Bitcoin and other alts for the long run, this continues rise of their prices doesn't mean for me that I will sell them to get a profit. To be honest, I'm at a loss because I bought my alts last 2018 and that is the year when the market is slowly going down. I'm just happy with the current rise of the market but I will not sell it at this moment.

I am very happy with the growth of the market (even if now there is a correction), but like you, I am not going to sell anything. Oh, I forgot - IF I find out that some tokens that are in my wallet do not have the future, they will be exchanged for the better altcoins.
Suppose, this is the time to support Ethereum, Monero, Cardano, and Stellar. Probably, it is even better to invest in these alts now.
Price correction right now is even great news, because it will give the opportunity for those that are profit takers to but back again and those that are still yet to invest, to still get a price cheaper than where it was initially. I am sure this price correction now, will lead us to another new price height which I am expecting to be $9000.

Therefore, I am still happy with any of bitcoin development as I can see that we are seriously having more investors that are genuinely investing in bitcoin for the future, so I expect us to continue grow in price for the remaining part of the year till we probably set a new ATH record.
5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked. 7000 BTC stolen. on: May 18, 2019, 08:37:14 AM
At least they are returning all funds so nothing lost from a user perspective
That is a good thing to do, they are lucky they have SAFU fund and what the hacker stole isn’t more than the figure they announced. They still need to be more careful because if they get stroked again, they might head towards the line of cryptopia. Now cryptopia has liquidated as a result of the hacking that was done on their own exchange which they could not recover from.

Binance is just is lucky because they already have a very large users and volume that is giving them profit everyday amounting to millions of dollars. Now that they have opened their deposit and withdrawal again, all necessaries activities will resume.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to buy cryptocurrency for 10.000USD today.... on: May 18, 2019, 08:06:08 AM
Probably I'll buy bitcoin. Since it is the top 1 on cmc . Besids it was more acceptable and popular to most of merchants that accepts cryptocurreny.
Bitcoin would be the best option for anyone right now seeing the surges in its market values. But I would rather invest some $10k when the market value is the lowest. The reason behind it is purely making use of the down cost scenario and that is the best an investor can do to get maximum profits. Anyways, speculating in ETH and Bitcoin with $10k would not be a bad move.
Of course, investing at bottom is still the best way to get the most profitable investment but the challenges is the volatility of the market which makes it impossible for everyone to buy at bottom, so even if the price is rising, the only opportunity that one should be looking for is the dip time, with dip time, anyone that knows how to trade will still be able to make money with a capital as high as $10k.

Yesterday that the price of bitcoin deepened to about $7000, imagine an investors invests the $10k then and price bounces to $9k, as he not made profit of over $2.5k? Imagine he was busy waiting for bottom again, would he not have already missed out of the train?
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What trading strategy do you guys use? on: May 18, 2019, 07:35:42 AM
Majority of us are using this strategy lile buy low and sell high, but I added some twist with that right now and I think it id very effective for this market now. What ever startegy that we used right now atleast you know what is the consequence if you that.
Every trader in the cryptocurrency use different startegy that they works for them and also most of that works very well.
In reality there is no definite strategy because everything can happen very quickly. we have to make decisions according to the situation and conditions and every trader must be able to make good momentum. don't be late in making decisions because every trader must be able to take advantage of every opportunity that exists.
Yea I agree that we shouldn’t be late in making decision and at the same time we should not be too quick at making decision. We just have to be careful not to use emotion in trading, I think we have to rely more on using technical analysis with fundamental analysis, because naturally, making decision on a trade is something that is not so easy.

Just like what happened to me recently, I wouldn’t say I was too late in making decision buying bitcoin at $8k after waiting to see the price dump from $8200, but shortly after I bought at $8k, the price deepened more, which means I was too quick in making decision without reading my Technical analysis.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to replace USD reserves with Bitcoin on: May 18, 2019, 07:03:32 AM
Yes, this is good news for the progress of Cryptocurrency, because big countries like Russia will buy as much Bitcoin as possible, I hear this from some news and articles that I read, I hope this increase in Bitcoin prices will continue to have a positive impact on Cryptocurrency and its use.
Hahahah, how can it be when they have still not regulated cryptocurrency, you should know that most government are so strict about their own law and would not engage in what they have not openly declared to the public. This story of Russia is just going to be a rumor and I dint see the possibility of them REPLACING their reserve with bitcoin.

I dint even see their investment in bitcoin as positive because they will only end up manipulating the market and crashing it below the normal price, if they put in bitcoin to the tune of $10m, and it yield them 50% increase, do you think they will not sell off all their holdings to take profit?
9  Economy / Economics / Re: 100 ways to get Bitcoin, collected on: May 18, 2019, 06:35:21 AM
This article would be very useful for newbies, but there are many ways described in this article not that useful. Anyway, i believe the best way to earn bitcoin are through trading and participating in bitcoin signature campaign.
Faucets, airdrops and bounties are not useful anymore,we just have to stick with bitcoin to earn bicoins without any capital or can be more profitable through trading it.
There is no way you can earn bitcoin without capital, the only way is if you work for it and you are being paid with it, I agree with you that other methods of earning cryptocurrency are no longer fully functioning.

Nevertheless, we still have some of them that are working, after all I participated in an airdrop some weeks back and I got up to about $120 from the airdrop. What I just do is to make sure I do research on all airdrop opening before any form of engagement, it takes time though, because you have to scan through majority of the airdrops we have before you can finally find one.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 17, 2019, 11:32:59 AM
Bitcoin or any crypto currency is not something that could be shut down, no matter what you do. All the countries in the whole world come up with a ban that will stop all exchanges and all miners and everything in between and basically make it illegal to even own bitcoin and even after that bitcoin will still live as long as it runs on a single computer.

Considering they can only slow down bitcoin by doing that and dropping the price there is absolutely no logical way to shut down at all. You can't just take out wallets and close all computers that ever had bitcoin related things on them, its not possible, you can't even do that for small coins let alone something as big as bitcoin. Which clearly shows that Joseph Stiglitz has no idea how bitcoin works at all and should not be cared about at all.
Even if they place a ban on it, how would they be able to trace the user of the cryptocurrency, this is where satoshi really made them handicapped, he must really bean intelligent man and for this reason, he will never show his face so that government and enemies of cryptocurrency will not get him arrested or killed.

There is no way they can stop cryptocurrency, even china that tried banning his miners recently could not succeed in doing so, and probably reason why they have not said anything about it again, which absolutely means they will have no choice than to regulate it.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outside risk: similarities between gambling and trading? on: May 17, 2019, 10:28:36 AM
I am glad you admitted not having an idea about trading and I am convinced that you are not a professional gambler. Maybe those who just play around with the game when they are bored but that is not a real gambler. I do both trading and I gamble for money and I can from experience say that both games are full of risk and both games require skills and study.

In sport betting which I specialize in, we realize that despite all efforts in digging into past records of teams, we can still be disappointed during betting’s and same as trading, regardless of the efforts in analyzing past trading records, there things can still change, so its all a game of risk.
I am so amazed to read that you do both gambling and trading and I am wondering how you cope since you are aware that they are both risky. Gambling alone that I have been playing, I don’t even know where I stand already because I have lost too much to the game. Some of my friends told me that trading is much easier though but I have not tried it. Maybe you should drop a little lecture on how you can survive the tension from both games.

For me I feel another similarity between trading and gambling is that they are both profitable, Aside that it’s both risky and loses can be made from both, there are chances of making money from both.
I feel you are that surprised because you probably have a negative mindset towards both. Drawing from your sentence, I can imagine that you are been tensed playing gambling and that is really not good. Gambling is not supposed to be that way,  and I hope you have not lost more than what you can afford?

Again, You might need lecture on trading but sorry you don’t need any lecture to gamble. Just play your game for fun and spend less, you win sometimes, you lose.  In my opinion, I do not really see so much similarity between both games, but profit realization at the end of each might actually be a similarity.
You have a very great point. It is really very clear that the upper poster is one of those that take gambling as a source of income, and it must have really been difficult for him running both because it will be like running two businesses with little business experience. Its not right at all.

Gambling is for entertainment. There was a time at high school, my friends and I would bet on different material things even to our dinner and it was really fun for us. We just saw it as a way to make ourselves happy. I feel we shouldn’t over work ourselves on gambling simply because money is involved and now the reward for playing is now in terms of cash and huge. There is no similarity between trading and gambling. One is for fun and one is Business.
In my opinion, I feel the whole basics of these arguments on gambling and trading as either game of fun and investment or the similarities between both is truly baseless and of no use.  No matter how both games are been played, there will still be a trace of similarity between them. It’s just normal.

The similarity between gambling to me Is that both traders and gamblers have an attribute of self-discipline in their various ways of playing. I realized that gamblers   are always so disciplined in playing their games because lack of self-discipline can lead them into addiction and same way traders are always exhibit self-discipline to enable them control loses in trading.
Reading through all the above comments, I would really commend your last suggestion. The argument is really of no importance.  Despite the huge difference between cryptocurrency and Fiat, there is still a similarity when comparisom is made. So there is no big deal when we try to fetch out the similarity between gambling and trading, it doesn’t mean they are the same, it only means that something is making them look alike.

Nothing really makes gambling and trading similar apart from money and the people involved in both. Money is used to trade; same way money is used to gamble. Gamblers are hard workers and traders are also very hardworking.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH pottential 10X or more? on: May 17, 2019, 09:54:19 AM
i think this can be easily achieved if ethereum mange to solve scalability issue and implement casper and plasma this year i wish a stroke of good luck for all ethereum hodlers Smiley
Well they are working hard to do so, envy the ones that has come up with a solution to those problem has not been able to completely implement the solution, I though Binance after creating their own chain would have built on this problem of ethereum for them to outshine eth, buy yet, ethereum is still growing stronger than majority of them that has believed they are better than ETH.

For some days now, ethereum has been getting lots of investors who believe in their projects, even with all the problems they are yet to solve which I still believe that they are still the best in their field for now, I know as time goes on, all these problems will fade away and give ethereum more strength to continue rising above other competitors.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin growth too slow? on: May 17, 2019, 09:22:34 AM
some altcoins price growth are too slow though market and bitcoin is up at the same time, its not easy to those alts to increase their price for a short period of time.. if you get boring on waiting for your alts to rise then why not invest in bitcoin..
Yea some altcoins look too slow, but we should never worry, provided they have working product, they will rise again. We just need to understand how they operate, just like you advised that people sell their coin for bitcoin, these has been the practice and one of the reasons why alts are not growing.

Some alt investors have converted their alts to bitcoin for now, till the time bitcoin will go sideways. I am sure once they see a sign that bitcoin will go sideways, they will start pumping money back to altcoins, and this will also cause a FOMO buy that usually see these coins increase to over 1000%.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Believe it or not! XRP Will Go Past $4 on: May 17, 2019, 08:39:05 AM
Like XRP or not, it can go to past $4 when the market goes past its old highs. After all, its 2018 all time high was over $3 so $4 is not lot higher than that.
Come to think of it, prior to the bull run of bitcoin, where was rupee value? Why was it stagnant and it had to depend on bitcoin despite the fact that its community contains more of bankers?Even with all their push and hype they could not grow until bitcoin started increasing.

I am not disputing the fact that XRP will get to $4, it is possible but only with the push of bitcoin, which it will not be only rupee that will increase, so many other coins at the top market cap also have the tendency of increasing rapidly during altcoins bull run, so let’s not make it look as if rupee can really get that value based in its personal strength.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Why can't we have a good cryptocurrency exchange? on: May 17, 2019, 08:04:19 AM
Ima be blunt, based on the fact that loads of people are still without exchanging trade pairs because the likes of binance and such have decided to close deposits indefinitely (gcse computer science and business for us teaches how to develop disaster recovery regimes) so the fact that high profit exchanges can't do it is just off.

Most of these exchanges do stuff with customers money too while on there especially if they haven't withdrawn for a long time. Coinbase, poloniex, bitmex and binance I believe will all be susceptible to this, as well as bitfinex who have already proven how great their money management strategies are (I luckily only had a dollar on there at the time of that hack)...
Most of the exchange we have now especially the centralized one are not regulated and that is the reason why some owners of those exchange are temporary with fund from the investors and traders on their trading platforms.  If regulation is there we would not have all those issues.  For the op I think we are going to have some reliable and good exchange in future and because crypto market is at the beginning stages, we are seeing some problems with exchange platforms.
Presently I am satisfied with some exchanges that we have and even though they are not regulated yet, their service to the community has been a wonderful one, in the like of great exchanges like Binance, even though they have not been regulated, but they are centralized exchanges which makes them known to the world, and if there is any form of fund mismanagement, their identity is enough for the government to step in even if they have not regulated them.

I don’t see any exchange rising up in the future that will be better than the ones we already have, if we are judging these ones by hacking, we should not forget the fact that it is a general phenomenon, and it can happen to anyone, even governments.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks, Nordstrom And Whole Foods Now Accept Bitcoin on: May 17, 2019, 07:17:28 AM
I have long heard the news that Starbucks Accept Bitcoin is not new news and in my opinion this is not too much effect on the development of the price of bitcoin and other altcoins.
Just one factor is not enough to really contribute to the development of bitcoin, but it still has its own little effect, for bitcoin to get to a very high development stage, it requires different parts to come together and jointly make the project to succeed.

So if this people are all coming one after the other, it will really be a stepping stone and with time, the market will slowly and steadily be gaining its ground in the world to the point that adoption rate will become so high. We might think all these retail companies are not significant, but they are the ones that really have a very sound working project that will make the value of bitcoin healthy and stable.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Price of goods goes up, salary never goes up!!! on: May 17, 2019, 06:45:48 AM

Over the past 30 years, salary never goes up, I know because I saw the salary today is same as my first salary 30 years ago, I’m not disclosing my age, so don’t be too paranoia, but the price of everything goes up thru the roof, the only person who salary goes up are (ikr, salary must kept secret because it is case sensitive, don’t tell anyone else!), ok, enough rant! Try to tell your kids to work for a salary in the future, I think they could barely afford a piece of beard!!

End of story! Ciao!
LOL, let me guess your age using your username. I think you are 46 years old. I don’t really think this is true of every country, each country with their own way of operation and the type of organization you are working with, is it a government organization or a private organization.

In my country, your salary must increase according to your progress and grade, promotion is being done like every 2 to 3 years, and once you pass that promotion, you get promoted with packages increasing too. Private organizations also does this a lot of time, I guess it is time you change the organization you work for.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should hold or sold BNB ? on: May 16, 2019, 11:27:24 AM
I think that it is better to switch to ETH today, it will continue to grow 100%. But the growth rate of bnb is a mystery. I think this is a good decision.
It is indeed a mystery, even with all the challenges they have gotten so far, their market value is still not responding negatively. Binance has really established itself for a very long future and I don’t see any wave that would ever swim them away. If within the short period of time they were established, thy have been able to develop great idea that has halted any form of dumping, I can imagine another more 5 years of Binance.

Sentiment apart. I think Bianca will really one day top Ethereum, reason being that, we can see that ethereum is naturally not growing now except bitcoin bull run, whole Binance has been performing well without bull run, if any dump occur now, it will affect ETH and not BNB which may make the value of BNB becomes greater than Eth.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will mining be profitable again? on: May 16, 2019, 10:52:24 AM
Now that bitcoin is at 7000k plus is mining becoming profitable again? Or bitcoin still have to surge more in price before profitable mining returns?

Mining has always been profitable, just need to know which coin is best to mine on the equipment that you have installed. To do this, you need to use specialized sites that allow you to calculate the best mining options for you, taking into account your equipment and software.

I think bitcoin is the best choice but it is still depends on the difficulty still if there were lots of miners that are mining bitcoin then it wont be profitable enough to say.
Of course everyone knows that bitcoin would always remain the best coin to ever mine, but the cost of operating it is the most difficult part of it all, and except there is a very high surge in the price of bitcoin that miners can really benefit from the mining of bitcoin, and I guess now that we are in the bull run, most miners would have been planning to return back to mining  to take more profit.

We also have some other coins though in the market that is very good to mine, and not so expensive to set up, Electroneum and monero is one hell of a coin to mine and easy to set up.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Co-Founder & CTO Leaves TRON To Start His Own Project! on: May 16, 2019, 10:18:09 AM
That's some stupid reason in my opinion. He claims "TRON is not associated with internet." The platform was built by him and he knew it from the beginning. Then he has problem with it now? That's not a valid reason. I see something else is going on.
What assurance do you even have that he is the main developer of the platform, because when we talk of the person that built the platform, we are talking of those who have the technical know how.

There is no way he alone can single handedly built the project, he Is just a business partner and if he wants to leave, he is free to do so, let’s see how far he can go, I am very sure that no matter how, he can still never be as perfect as the original project they all developed together as team. It will still take him time for whatever project he is working on to get awareness while TRON continues to be properly maintained.
