Is there a trick to get a 280x to mine with this on windows? Anything config I try crashes, even the most basic ones. Maybe because i'm using the blockchain driver ?

You are incorrect. Vertcoin was never meant to be an anon coin 

Tested 3 Vega 64's

Only the pools in the example /premade bat files work. If I edit the file to change the pool then the miner crashes even with basic settings. The premade bat files get the Vega 64s at about 60mh/s per card at 280w with stock settings, but again it only works on the preset pools. It crashes if you use anything but that . Not sure why is does that.

Move from Coinotron. They have over 51% of the net hashrate.


For the past couple days Coinotron has had over 51% of the Vertcoin network hashrate. We have found out that this is due to nicehash renters using Coinotron as their go to pool to mine to. So, if you are mining from nicehash or just mining on Coinotron please consider using a different pool until they are under 51% of the network hashrate. We would suggest setting up your own p2pool(super easy), but we have listed alternatives below.

If you are mining lyra2rev2(Vertcoin) please move away from coinotron. They currently have 68% of the Vertcoin network hashrate. We prefer that you mine to p2pool. Then even with a majority hashrate we wouldn't have anything to worry about . Also, it seems that nicehash only lists a few pools to mine to, so here are some alternatives
