You people should be posting this stuff on reddit. Reddit fucking loves MEMEs and one of them WILL catch on, I promise.

Bang on the money there, if the developers do follow through the potential is enormous. Memes are the lifeblood of the internet.

ohh, the camel is here. Was difficult to find this new thread.

Hopefully if and when arteleis comes back he can stick a link to this thread in the last post in of the old one so that any other camels wandering lost in the desert can find their way back home.  Wink

Has anyone successfully built the gui wallet on linux? On github it says you need the Qt5.5.1 run-time libraries but as far as I can see there is no "libqtgui5" or at least not in ubuntus repos.

I built it on Ubuntu with Qt4. I got some warnings, but it works fine. Just qmake-qt4 ; make (once you've installed all the dependencies).

Sweet that fixed it, thanks!

I see there are some masternodes running already but they are not mentioned in the op. Could the team give some details about the rewards and how much is needed to run one please.

Masternodes are not running, they are disabled due to a security issue with masternodes. Something else is being worked on to fill their role.

I saw the nodes in the masternode tab and just assumed. Thanks for the info.

Just like we built one for 020londoncoin we will build one for this. We are behind but not halted. Smiley

Okay I understand. Its nice to be able to build from source too though, after you make it and when you have time if you could post the steps it would be appreciated.

Okay I hadn't gotten that far just made me angry reading that. Glad it is all sorted out now.  Smiley

Difficulty is fast rising and getting hard to solo mine now, I hope there is an available cpu miner for windows soon that can connect to a pool.

We will re-engage the external miner, right now though, three more nodes and the auto-updater is what is about to be released.
To be perfectly honest it's pretty crappy to release a linux only miner and then go hop on a pool... Idk why anyone would be fine with paying a fee when they could solo. Again, we don't specialize in external miners, as such this is where we draw this view from.

Same here. This coin looks more promising everytime I stop by.

Good job Devs. and growing community!

Thank you we are doing our best, although slower than we'd like.

Waiting cpu miner also.

well considering ocminer left out entire directories and has no intention of supplying or informing anyone on how to create a windows external miner you might be waiting for a little until our team has time to re-engage the external mining aspect.
Solo mining is still perfectly feasible and is currently our recommended method.
We don't support favoritism and that's exactly what is happening with supernova pool... linux only? C'mond guys....

Besides horribly inaccurate hashrates, requested this be addressed and received no response...
The rate vs payout is also horrible inaccurate.

Couldn't even get our project name correct:
"Suprnova's ESPCoin Pool // Algo: HMQ1725 // Pre-Reg now ! "

Since when are we ESPCoin? Does is state that anywhere in our thread? No....

so as he as a pool, supporting your coin, he is not allowed too sleep or have a life anymore?
you guys weren't able to come up with a block explorer, that needs about 30minutes to be done?

well, started promisingly here and i hope this post was because of too less sleep...

I agree wtf is with the ocminer bashing, he's not part of your team you should be thankful he has contributed what he has and allowed more people to mine your coin. Such a bad attitude.

This should work.

sudo apt-get update -y
sudo apt-get -y install git automake gcc g++ libcurl4-openssl-dev libssl-dev make

git clone https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-hmq1725
cd cpuminer-hmq1725/
./autogen.sh
./configure --with-crypto --with-curl
make

That did it, thanks a lot!

I finally had some spare time and had a look at the pool stuff again, the problem was solved, thanks to tpruvot for the help !

Working Pool here:

https://esp.suprnova.cc

Working (new) and optimized external Miner here:

https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-hmq1725

Unfortunately I have no Windows and cannot compile for win, but I hope some nice guy will provide a compiled version.

For the other pools, here is the Hashing-Module needed:

https://github.com/ocminer/hmq-hash/

Happy hashing !

Thanks for this ocminer. When I try to compile the miner I get these errors, have you come across this before? Ubuntu 14.04
Code:
cpuminer-cpu-miner.o: In function `workio_thread':
cpu-miner.c:(.text+0x432a): undefined reference to `curl_easy_init'
cpu-miner.c:(.text+0x4419): undefined reference to `curl_easy_cleanup'
cpuminer-cpu-miner.o: In function `stratum_gen_work':
...

Thanks

I just leave wallet open, and after some times i was sync and ready to mine

Thank you those nodes worked.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: April 12, 2016, 05:20:48 PM
static const char *strMainNetDNSSeed[][2] = {
    {NULL, NULL}

Lol,Codeexpert.  LOOOLLL

They are instamining as much they can, and of course they are offline.

Have to say I agree, no connections even with addnode=173.18.196.253. Has anyone got the ip of a working node at all? Or do we have to wait for the first 1k blocks to be mined before its opened to the public?

Expected a much more professional launch from you guys.

I hope this will reduce some of the repeating questions. In my opinion it would be better if you had darksilk and silk in two different threads. Less confusing I think.

I think this is alright for the pre-ann. Presumably the actual announcements will have their own threads.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN/DISCUSSION] Silk Network: Silk, DarkSilk and Weaver on: April 05, 2016, 07:38:14 PM
Good call on the new thread and big up ttoroie for the FAQ. Very much looking forward to Silk/DarkSilk, by far the most exciting crypto launches on the horizon. Thanks to you and the team for all the great work.

How do i send steem to another user?

transfer fromaccount toaccount "XXX.XXX STEEM" "memo" true

I tried a test transfer using this syntax over an hour ago but it still doesn't show in the other person's balance. How long does it usually take? Sorry for all the questions, steem is new, wondrous and strange to me.

So you shut down the seednode so no one can mine who isn't already mining?

I'll add that to the list of cheats.

Anyone can make their own little network and mine all they want. That's not "chess" you idiot devs.

Hi. Sorry to bother you i've asked the dev this question three times and been ignored every time. Maybe it should be added to your list of cheats too.
Do you know how to mine with multiple accounts? Is this done with a single command? I tried to start mining with a second account on the same machine but keep getting an exception "Last block ID does not match current chain state".
I'd be very grateful for help.
