I primarily only use bitcointalk through blockchained.com so that would be great if this could get fixed so the hot topic scraper would work.  Thanks!
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BIP38 encrypted paper wallets on: July 13, 2017, 05:36:20 PM
I made some paper wallets recently using bitcoinpaperwallet.com's offline generator.  I tested decryption right after i made them and they opened just fine.  After a few days, I try to open the same one again with the same passwrod, and it says invalid passphrase.  This has happened before but I thought it was me forgetting the password.  I don't think this is the case now.  I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this and what the solution is. This happens with both bitaddress.org and bitcoinpaperwallets.com (and makes sense as they both use the same code).

This is the very nature of an internet shill, please tell me someone else is aware of what's going on here.

dank, thank you for posting.  I have been sun gazing for two years now (along with well rounded organic nurishment, meditation, entheogens, yoga, etc) and my vision has become so sharp and focused that others need binoculars to see what i see unassisted.  Visual acuity is only a very small part of the benefits I've seen.  You are on the right path.  Understand that the world we have become aware of is often threating to most people's reality so don't take these uninformed comments too seriously.  People build themselves around something they very strongly believe to be true and when ideas are presented that threaten it, they reject it no matter what the evidence is.  “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.” -mark twain.  Most people exhibit a poor ability to adapt to one's environment, an inability to change one's life patterns, and the inability to develop a richer, more complex, more satisfying personality.  These critical comments are from the ego's defense mechanisms which are a normal way of developing and maintaining a consistent sense of self (i.e., an ego).  Carl Jung said he frequently saw people become neurotic when they content themselves with inadequate or wrong answers to the questions of life.  Just like in the matrix, they had to be careful who they unplugged because most people couldn't handle it.  its no different here in this "reality", if you want to call it that.  The truth is, the particles that make up our most easily perceived world around us are 99.8% empty space and just like the matrix, is just a tiny program from a far grander, more difficultly percieved multiverse.  Keep spreading truth and seeking knowledge, brother.  I see the world positively changing around us because of people like you.  love, light, and dankness  :]  (-<-)  <3  (A)
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / paper wallet inconsistencies on: December 14, 2013, 10:12:04 PM
I encrypted a paper with bip38 using bitaddress.org.  I then tried to decrpyt it with namecoinia.org and bip38 selected and it kept saying my passphrase was invalid.  i went back to bitaddress.org and it decrypted just fine.  I took that private key and put it in nameconia.org and it gave me details matching what bitadress said.  It makes me leery that it wouldn't decrypt so im skeptical about using.  I'm wondering the safest way to store namecoins while still being able to retrieve them later.

7  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: announcement: the international "when-bitcoin-reaches 1000,- $ party" on: November 14, 2013, 01:33:36 AM
is there going to be a limited # of tickets?  can we reserve extras?  and yes, ladies and children that are guests of ticket buyers should be free.  count me and a few of my friends in if there is no dress code. formalities and fancy shit is for people like banksters who operate on fraud and have something to hide.   I also agree with having a vote on the types of entertainment and things like that if theres not going to be multiple rooms to satisfy all.  There should definitely be some high end electronic music tho.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin should be at $13,500 ? on: June 27, 2013, 08:40:06 PM
i figure it should be about $7500 right now as its at least 400 times more rare than gold and can be made invisible and teleported anywhere.

The main purpose for Bitcoin was anonymity and decentralization. Another main point was Silk Road. Well...............
...
Anyhow, I think it would be appropriate for users to accept LTC as a newer and better cryptocurrency than to BTC.

You misunderstand the paradigm shift introduced by bitcoin. The purpose is not to provide anonymity, but privacy. There are ways to disguise bitcoins to make it hard to crack down on privacy, but given enough effort one can do it. Each time you transfer bitcoins, or another cryptocurrency for that matter, you compromise your privacy, because it allows you to connect the specific address to your trade. Thus you should choose wisely with whom you want to trade if you want to hide funds. There will be huge gateways in place which operate on the interface between bitcoin and other monetary systems, and those will be the points in the system where you will loose your privacy. However, for the same reason huge financial hubs can be established in politically immune countries whose sole purpose is to disguise funds and restore privacy.

The main point of bitcoin is that it transfers economic freedom and control back to the people. More people will grasp the implications of this, as governmental currencies around the world get decapitalized.

cool, so i can get my 400 stolen coins back?

Cheesy That's the perfect answer!

I'm cereal.  I would really like that back.  I’ll split it with you if you find the track suited russian scam bag who took it.

Wait, you tried to relfash a MiniRig to a Single's firmware? Why would you do that?!

because i read or was told that it was the same chip.  But i have it figured out now, thanks.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL butterfly labs Bitforce reflash on: July 18, 2012, 01:21:01 PM
I reflashed a bitforce1.0 and now it won't work...  I installed the drivers and used the supplied tools (easyminer) from butterfly labs website and loaded the "auto tune" and then a "hot environment" slower clock rate flash and the only ones that work with bitminter are the ones i haven't touched... Sad  I didn't unplug or anything during the code load but i did get an error from the easyminer when i tried to load the auto tune on a few of them at once.  it said it was "out of memory".. did i just brick these or can i at least reset to default?

Dear Redrider,

Auto-tuning requires some 80MB of RAM, be sure that your system has enough free RAM.
If for any reason easyminer wont complete flashing cycle, the unit won't work and will requires a reflash.

Regards,
BF Labs Inc.

The bottom image was successfully loaded with the autotune package after an error stating that the firmware integrity check had failed.  It says it passes now but theres 0 processors?  The top one is untouched and works... so can i get the alphaminer_MR_1500.bfl anywhere?

Alphaminer_MR_1500 is for MiniRig, not singles. Can you try manually flashing 816MH/s firmware and see what happens?

Regards,
BF Labs Inc.

Right, each one of these is in a minirig, and i have apparently misread that you can reflash them with the "single" firmwares as I understood it was just a bunch of singles in a box.  I have the correct firmware now.

It looks like they got 21.8 BTC out of someone else's MtGox too: http://blockexplorer.com/address/17u8TRJjidQjEsf1nePbBaGcBUsRUrMwpQ

BTW Yubikey makes phishing pretty darn hard. That won't keep scumbags from trying.

We see the whole domain is criminals and has been for a while.

Now, what Bitcoin sites have you given that email address to?

Good find.  I have given that email to no other bitcoin sites.  It was released to mt goxs cohorts when mt gox was "hacked" (said they were so they could fraud people and deny it).

Does russia not care if people are committing real crimes against people in their cuntry?  How has this host not been shut down and someone held accountable?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I got phished :'( on: February 29, 2012, 02:52:50 PM
When Mt Gox got "hacked" it was curiously at a sharp bitcoin increase.  They sold everything they had at this huge increase, knowing news of them getting "hacked" would drop the prices where they and their cohorts could re-buy at pennies on the dollar.  Conveniently, this also allowed them to release all of their users email addresses, so when you buy a ton of coin, or violate their stupid terms of service they can tell their friends with your email address so they can phish you all the while having plausible deniability.  Nice scam gox fucts.

The bot also sold the coins to market that it couldn't withdraw.  I thought that was strange but maybe it would have transferred that to a bank which I could then get some better detail on.  Probably not worth the hassle.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / I got phished :'( on: February 27, 2012, 08:47:44 PM
So I thought I might have logged into mt gox through tor and i read they will deactivate your account if you do so.  So when i got an email today saying my account was under review, my emotions took over and i immediately signed in somewhat expecting this.  not a second later i looked up and saw i was logging into a different site, so i got in as quick as i could and changed my pw.... but too late.  i lost the daily limit to:

17u8TRJjidQjEsf1nePbBaGcBUsRUrMwpQ

after getting phished at:

htrv5.tmweb.ru

I sent mt gox an email saying if they had a 5 min waiting period people could stop this as its obvious you have been phished when the site doesn't change after you log in.  I know its up to the user to keep their stuffs safe, but this is really too easy for perverts to get your money.
