who exactly is the management team for this?
who will be collecting, holding and spending the funds?
it would be very sad if this went wrong.
Hi Chaang Noi, we understand your questions, me, 600watt and bulleric will present our company (some more paperwork has to be done) in a few days on our website. How the ticketing will work and how we will manage this? That was one of our biggest and most challenging points in that projekt! We will present that tomorrow night thru all the channels, here, on our website, Facebook and twitter! So stay in touch. And if You got any further questions, do not hesitate to ask us! Ty Cheech300

How the ticketing will work and how we will manage this? That was one of our biggest and most challenging point in that projekt! I don't know any of you guys. Will someone here vouch for you? I know 600watt and cheech300. I'd say they're absolutely serious about their efforts. Whether they can make it happen or not, given the (possibly) short time frame, will depend on more than their personal ambition, though. As for the funds, I'd suggest a trusted escrow or multisig-escrow with funds being released when necessary, i.e. for downpayments on reservations for a room, catering whatever. With the coordinators not living too far from me, I'd be able to oversee the whole process, if required.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.

count me in guys.
I'm from Berlin but I'm all for Frankfurt. We should rent the bar at the top of Commerzbank tower and just PISS on the city while drinking rose Moet.
Occupy Frankfurt with a twist of Champagne (and a little golden shower).
I'll also pay my admission IN PERSON with a 1BTC casascius coin, biotches!
Berlin should host the subsequent BTC2K party.

is there going to be a limited # of tickets? can we reserve extras? and yes, ladies and children that are guests of ticket buyers should be free. count me and a few of my friends in if there is no dress code. formalities and fancy shit is for people like banksters who operate on fraud and have something to hide. I also agree with having a vote on the types of entertainment and things like that if theres not going to be multiple rooms to satisfy all. There should definitely be some high end electronic music tho.

Sorry, but 1000$ attendance is exorbitant.
as OP pointed out, it was $140 per ticket when he mentioned the idea, it is now only $400 per ticket. For $1000 value. I was hoping the OP will allow a couple per ticket. As I only bought 1 ticket and I would like my wife to come.

welcome Sakdrissi, neilol, gsan, bitcoinbboyce, icey, stash, Belkaar, redrider and Mageant !! it is a pleasure to be your host. special welcome to Cyrus and 2weiX @FTWbitcoinFTW: ok, no pool at the party, but al poll here @molecular: thanks for putting it to reddit ! awesome. @stash: it may be in frankfurt @stellan0r: there is a thread where you can bet on the date the party will be triggered, you can win 4.5 btc when you pick the right date @qwk & Mageant: thank you very much for your assistance, which is highly welcome ! @2weiX: occupy frankfurt with champagne twist: brilliant idea ! @Adrian-x: we will have a ticket purchasing system that allows anonymus purchase of ticket. we would love to give away 2 tickets for one, but this would mess up our calculation (double costs for venue, catering, bar, etc, etc, etc) in addition how could we be sure that a ticket purchaser who wants 2 tickets is really using it for his wife and not selling it? we would have to get verification like id, marriage license which is not what we try to set up anonymus ticket payment. and what about gay couples? let them in for half but friends need to pay regular? it will become a complicated, easy to cheat mess if we try to let this happen. every ticket will be the same and will cost the same. we will try to come up with a different kind of getting this done: if we find enough sponsors or donating whales we could try to compensate some btc amount, when a couple shows up with two regular tickets at venue.

everyone can reserve/purchase several tickets. just let me know and i reserve more than 1 for you. as soon as ticket purchase opens, reserved tickets are the first to be served. kids will be free. kids issue is another complicated thing: this will be a wild party and may not be appropriate for kids. i have kids myself and i can imagine it is not possible for some to travel several days to another continent and leave the kids alone at home. so we must find a solution. maybe we will have a family friendly hotel close to the venue with lots of nannies that will guard the kids while you are partying. maybe there is a better solution. anyway, kids can enter venue without question at early evening hours, but maybe after 10 pm or so we would recommend to have adults only. what are your thoughts about this ? no dress code. as long as you come naked. and yes, several floors & electronic music.

That's a good idea... or the gold parity one? I'm happy it'll likely be Frankfurt. Are you going to pay with a 2011 casascius coin?
