Sounds legit! LOL
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟⚡⛏️💰[ANN] Giga Watt (WTT): Best Home For Your Mining🌟⚡⛏️💰 on: May 13, 2017, 02:11:41 PM
Sounds very interesting - guess you can count me in!

Gotta question to the business model of Giga Watt:
Are your customers able to manage their hosted mining hardware themselves and have full control of it? Otherwise i see no real difference to cloud mining.

Bad News:
Quote
Hi,
Sorry to tell you that the batch of cube and quad-cube miners were sold out again, and we have no idea when the next batch will arrive now.
If you have gotten a quotation from us(via email or skype), please do the payment as we have quoted before the Beijing time of 10:00 PM in April 27th. Otherwise the your order will be canceled.
Please wait patiently and we will share you with the news about the new stock as soon as we can.
Best regards,
Baikal

Guess i wasn't fast enough - the fact that batch 2 is sold out should be an indicator that no fraud activity is happening, at least when communicating with official email address baikal@baikalminer.com - a scam would still have many units in stock Smiley
4  Local / Projektentwicklung / Re: Mit selbst hergestelltem Strom Bitcoin schürfen on: April 13, 2017, 06:47:24 AM

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRST] [TOKEN SALE] WeTrust.io CROWDSALE: Over $4M Raised - 1 week left! on: April 12, 2017, 05:56:49 PM
How to become
can not be traded at any exchanges ?

I guess that's just legal stuff - in order to avoid conflicts with law or regulatory.

On the technical side those TRST tokens meet the ERC20 standard and can be send from one ethereum address to another - so from this point of view - trading otc or on exchanges can't really be prevented.

@all who are asking for exchange integration - should read the whitepaper - it's already answered there.

Hab aktuell leider keine BTC sonst hätte ich gerne ausgeholfen.

Kann aber bestätigen, dass DAoneNonlyG seriös ist. Habe schon mehrfach Geschäfte mit ihm abgewickelt (z. B. Ankauf von div. FPGAs). Zahlung kam immer wie vereinbart und pünktlich.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockRun.com - Penny auctions on the blockchain on: June 03, 2013, 04:47:13 PM
Just wanna give an update on this auction:
http://www.blockrun.com/auctions/lg-google-nexus-4-16gb-1

After a small chat with the very friendly BlockRun.com customer service i received a tracking number for delivery. Only three days later the phone arrived as promised.

As you can see here my daughter already fell in love with Nexus 4.

Good luck with your bets Smiley
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockRun.com - Penny auctions on the blockchain on: May 23, 2013, 08:09:37 AM
Thanks KingOfSports; hopefully we can convince some winners to come back us up. I'm hoping the miner who won the last auction might consider posting once they claim and receive their prize.

the problem is that penny auction sites obfuscate the house's edge and makes it really easy for the house to cheat.

We are actually more open than typical penny auction sites. They usually encourage users to buy "credits" and then bid with those. We have all bids openly displayed in the blockchain, with no credit system providing a layer of abstraction from the price.

I would love it if we could 100% prove that we are not bidding on the auctions, but there is no way I can think of; other than creating a system where people have to sign-in with facebook and bid with credits rather than sending from any address. You could then link back to people's facebook profiles, but that would spoil the fact that anyone can currently play without publicly revealing who they are.

Since we are being honest, it would be much better for us to have some way to prove that we are. If you have any suggestions on how we can be more open or prove that we are not bidding, I am all ears!

Since bitcoin's key feature is anonymity - i guess it's quite impossible to prove that BlockRun.com ops don't bit on their own auctions.
I understand that new bitcoin services should be taken very carefully to prevent scams. This makes perfect sense to me.

At a clooser look to BlockRun.com this seems to be a serious project which is just starting to build trust.

Trust will be a key successor for this platform, so i wan't to share my thoughts and experiences:

- The website is really professional made. I doubt someone would spend so much time/money and effort to build up such a front- and backend just to scam people, get caught (maybe) and disappear again.
- This service seems to be build to generate profits on the long run. It makes perfect sense NOT to scam people - build up trust - and profit from it's existing business model.
- PennyAuctions is pure gambling but i also think thats fine and has a right to exist in the bitcoin ecosystem just like other gambling services.

yesterday i deceided to give BlockRun.com a try and bet on this auction:
http://www.blockrun.com/auctions/lg-google-nexus-4-16gb-1

I know it's gambling - but i really like the thrill and the fact to support new serious bitcoin startups.

So you call me the miner who has gone allin with my recent earnings and won the auction.

## END of Proof ##

After going through the claim process on the website, i just received a confirmation and was told to get a tracking number soon. So i don't get a product yet - but since now everything looks fine.
If you want i will keep you up to date and post a picture of proof after delivery.

Some final words:
Since i know from personal experiences how hard it is to get a bitcoin business started - i would recommend this BlockRun.com from my personal experiences just now.
My best guess is that the operator is honest, serious and really interested to build up trust and get a critical mass of customers.
I think we need more professional and well presented services like this to show what bitcoin is capable of. Making use of the blockchain for auctions is genius.

Just give it a try - if you like the thrill Smiley

Disclaimer: I never had any contact or relationship to BlockRun.com or the site op(s) since i discovered the project yesterday.

you guys are fools if you think we're going to break $120 any time soon.

You would be surprised how fast walls can magically "disappear".
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: less than 3 hrs to the "attack", will it affect your trading? on: April 22, 2013, 03:01:02 PM
my bet:

when people realize that the event won't happen - everybody, who was holding his fiat ready to go, starts panic buying and price will top 130 USD today.

Hat schonmal wer http://www.plus500.de/ ausprobiert?

Scheint eine etablierter Forex Broker zu sein. Offensichtlich kann man dort jetzt auch Bitcoin/USD als CFD traden.
17  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Question about Passwords storage. on: April 21, 2013, 02:48:53 PM
Graet,

I'm very sorry for what happened, You run the great pool and I hope that your pool would survive for the sake of the bitcoin network.

Nevertheless:  What do you use to store passwords inside the database. Is there a possibility that password hashes were compromised during the last break in? What algorithm do you use to store password hashes inside the database: SHA1, SHA256, do you use salt? I'm asking because many users are using the same password and username with many pools and online accounts.

Thank you

ozcoin uses drupal 7 function user_hash_password:
http://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/includes!password.inc/function/user_hash_password/7

Drupal 7 use SHA512 by default with a salt. It runs the hash through PHP's hash function numerous times to increase the computation cost of generating a password's final hash (a security technique called stretching).
18  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: April 20, 2013, 05:13:39 PM

Hi folks,

just read what happened this morning and was totally shocked.

Whoever did this please reconsider what you've done and return those stolen coins.

Graet and the ozcoin Team behind really helped Bitcoin to become what it is today and what it'll be tomorrow.

Open letter to the hacker behind it:
I'am sure almost all pool out there need experienced hacker like you to secure those servers and websites.
Pool operators would also willing to pay you - if you discover security issues. You could use your skills and get rewarded without beeing a criminal.
I don't give up hope that you reconsider your actions and make things right. Great clearly doesn't deserve what you did to him.

I really wan't to help Graet out of this situation and just setup a p2pool node with 100% fee for ozcoin donations.

If you wan't to donate a hashes to Graet and help him out while ozcoin is down just point your miners to:

url: http://yourbtc.net:9332
username: whateveryoulike
password: whateveryoulike

p2pool Webinterface: http://yourbtc.net:9332/static/

Mining rewards will be send via p2pool to ozcoins donation address: 1Gzcbs8dDYzf16qFWKHc5kWKuH8nji3pVt

Best wishes and still alive,

roomservice
