Should be OK now, let me know if not.

Sorry, I just noticed ThomasV's last minute fix... I've taken the download offline and am rebuilding the package.

|
Windows package is available now! (See link in my signature)

Great, thanks!
I'm testing it at the moment, and it seems to behave beautifully.

8 zeroes would be a lot of clutter... How about 2 zeroes, like the official client (and almost all ledger / accounting software in the world)? So 0 BTC would be shown as "0.00" Example:

version 0.44 1-click executable for Windows is ready! See link in top post.

I should be able to release the Windows package within a few hours (hopefully - got some other stressful issues to deal with as well...)

Who is the first known person (after Satoshi) that has generated coins - or received coins from Satoshi?

I'm replying from my phone, so this won't be too long. I didn't steal the code. First, the link you posted is from a tutorial that is being re-used in many other JQuery effects, including mine. Second, my effect is really different from the tutorial, and required lots of effort and fine-tuning to get it just right. Just try the tutorial demo and you'll see.

And your point is? Any random kid can de-obfuscate javascript... So?
Would be more interesting if you could actually make a constructive comment. Anyway.

For 0.3BTC, you get the full source code and supporting files for this original CSS/Jquery visual effect - supports both text and images! Check it out in action here: (just hover mouse in and out of the content to see the effect) Demo 1 (text): http://dre.tx0.org/demo1-obf-wox12-3.html Demo 2 (image): http://dre.tx0.org/demo0-obf-wox12-3.html The price is low, so please note that what you will get is some fully functional code, but no documentation, and no support from me. Please be aware that the code is messy, but quite short, so it shouldn't be a big pain to adapt to your needs. I will the email you a zip file with the code for this effect right after receiving payment to the address in my signature (most often within minutes, if I'm awake).

The Domain name is Ethercash.com.
Appraisals from various sources, as of April 2012 (in USD):
sedo.com: 500-999 urlappraisal.net: 1585 namebio.com (recent similar sales): around 2500
So my price should be a big bargain, as I would need to get some BTC urgently. Anyway, I'm open for discussion.

And according to GitHub, the author is still actively updating it... Seems pretty well implemented, but I can't find any non-malicious use for this (unless you download the tarball and run it locally, perhaps)... Out of curiosity, how did you find out about that site?
Just did a WHOIS on the domain, doesn't seem to reveal any obvious clues...

I can see that many people seem to be begging for a few bitcoins in their signature (me too!) , but when i check their addresses in blockexplorer, they invariably appear empty. Let's just admit that technique doesn't work and start actually doing something useful to earn some BTC... What do you think?

In the Haaretz article, they say the last time heard of Satoshi was in April 2011. Where was that? On this forum?

oh, there is still a small change to in the gui: the seed can be displayed as a QR code, so that the wallet can be imported on your telephone.
oh yes, indeed... I can confirm it works fine on Windows as well. By the way, just a pointless but fun little idea: store the seed as music! Check this little QR-to-Midi demo: http://www.jeremywentworth.com/2011/09/15/qr-code-image-to-midi-sequences/

No worries... Anyway, so this means the only change in my latest package is the new (public domain) font.

New Windows build is out! Version 0.43d, with the new Dina monospace font. (If upgrading from a previous version, you will need to manually delete or rename the Electrum-P folder in your profile/Application Data directory) EXE: http://dre.tx0.org/elec043d.exe (I haven't updated the web page yet) MD5: E87685A2DFF2F99704F91B1E6924CD1C If you're paranoid: please feel free (and I even encourage you) to diff the files in your Electrum-P folder against the official source code.

While working out at the gym the other day, I suddenly had an idea that made me very excited... As I have no plans to implement it myself, let me share it with you guys - and if someone does eventually build it, I would appreciate a little donation It would be nice to have exercise bikes and/or treadmills displaying an extra little counter, in BTC, that would rapidly increase as you exercise (even if by Satoshis)? When you end your session, the gym instantly sends your "earnings" to your address. Gym equipment that re-uses power generated by users already exists, as can been seen here: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2015615233_greenfitness15.htmlSo it's only a logical extension to pay back those users with a little fraction of the revenue generated. It probably wouldn't be much, but it would still be a strong motivator for many of us, I believe! Especially if uses Bitcoin! Of course implementing such a system wouldn't be trivial, but shouldn't be an insurmountable feat either. I would both be a nice way to promote Bitcoin, and get people to exercise more... Any comments?
