742  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] when will 1 BTC be worth 1 oz of silver? on: January 17, 2013, 12:59:01 PM
A TROY ounce weighs heavier than a traditional ounce measurement used for something like, say cooking ingredients for instance.

Usually around 30+ grams

https://www.google.com/search?q=1+troy+ounce+to+grams

No idea what that means though.

746  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Sell BTC in Brazil 35% on: January 17, 2013, 08:44:00 AM
André, you are looking for a good arbitrage. But the price in Brazil here: https://www.mercadobitcoin.com.br/negociacoes/ is R$ 34,00. Why did you say 39? It is still good to make an arbitrage, but the volume is low and it is risky. Sorry but you lost my confidence lying about the price.  Undecided

Look at the date! -.-'

I never clicked on anything. I was afraid the timer would reset!

What?

Dears

I´m from Brazil and i would like to propose a big deal. The price of BTC in Brazil is R$ 39.47 or U$ 19.38. At MtGox is U$ 14.47 a difference of 35%!!! Ok, but if you sell your BTC at www.mercadobitcoin.com.br how can you receive your money in cash again? I can send to you by wire transfer, i will charge you with 5% of the value;

Are you thinkin about my reputation? i´m the owner of Bitcoin Card of Brazil (https://www.bitcointoyou.com/) and i have a company www.vivarti.com.br . If you are interested, i can send to you a picture of my passport and my address.

André

Right now, the price is at R$ 32,80 ($16,08).

750  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin API with callback function? on: January 16, 2013, 12:32:16 PM
The url.com was just a replacement URL. I have full http://www. on my domain, and the callback tool on their API page works perfectly. It is when the money is payed to that address, the callback is never called. I log any visit (before checking IP), and the url is never called.

Well, I don't know what's happening then.
I can take a look at your script for a fee.

Carlos:
That sounds VERY interesting! Could you provide an example of a URL you send?

I send:
https://blockchain.info/api/receive?method=create&address=1Ccypfi3rnXosUgY6p1sQVXFyddFvwLFEJ&anonymous=false&callback=url.com/callbackhandler.ashx&myid=a0613be5-1c05-47ff-a455-a9f597d61ea5&participant=A

(I've tried several others like this)

Did you need to activate anything?

Error no protocol: url.com/callbackhandler.ashx -> This pretty much says everything.

blockchain.info/api/receive?method=create&address=1Ccypfi3rnXosUgY6p1sQVXFyddFvwLFEJ&anonymous=false&callback=http://url.com/callbackhandler.ashx&myid=a0613be5-1c05-47ff-a455-a9f597d61ea5&participant=A

Carlos L:
Blockchain never make a callback, even though my code should work, and their support doesn't answer.

You're doing something wrong then. I have 3 services using that payment method and all 3 callbacks work fine.
754  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin API with callback function? on: January 15, 2013, 02:24:16 PM
I am currently developing several applications for bitcoins, but I have problems with the most vital part: Receiving payments!

I need the following two API calls:
- Generating a bitcoin address, providing a callback, which is called with my custom parameters, when the payment is made
- Sending money to a bitcoin address

I've investigated the following:

Blockchain:
They seem to have the perfect API, but after more than a week of silence in a support case, the API simply doesn't seem to work (the callback part).
Therefore, I am not comfortable with these guys.

1. Whatever you found there will most likely not work.
2. Use PHP.
3. There are MANY faucets.
