101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BRX] Breakout Chain | Bittrex ICO Live BRX Staking | Multicurrencies+Free Poker on: July 17, 2016, 06:48:03 PM
Just curious, does anyone know the BRX ICO price from the 2014 ICO?

102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITSYNQ] ~PRESALE ENDED~ [! ! P2P In Wallet Applications ! !] on: July 16, 2016, 06:10:12 PM
Interesting project, upset I missed the ICO.  When do you plan to have the coin listed on an exchange, and on which exchange(s)?

Also, with it being DPoS, how many delegate nodes will there be, 101?
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] ShadowCash | POSV3 | Untraceable E-Cash | NIZKP | HD+BIP32 | ShadowMarket* on: July 15, 2016, 05:50:16 PM
extremistan: A. Let's not taunt them, only fuels the fire and makes the project look like a joke. B. Let's be professionals, respond to all questions in a nice manner, even if it's a question on when the market is released. It really drives people away when they're attacked for popping into the thread and then someone jumps on them.

"You catch more bees with honey"

Sorry, I don't buy into the politically correct agenda. I am always happy to help anyone who sincerely wants to contribute, or be part of the scene. I have been accused of "cheer-leading" many times.
In fact I am over the top on anything I really believe in (Like SDC).

I don't believe in censorship. If someone has a legitimate concern, I am always willing to discuss honest differences of opinion. We still have that freedom!

That being said, those who are guilty of lying, cheating, stealing, hacking, sabotage, terrorism, etc., should not be given a free ride. They need to be exposed and prosecuted relentlessly.

A lax attitude is what fuels the fire! By everyone not speaking out against what's wrong, it only encourages the enemy.

In my mind the thing that attracted me most to Shadow was the stealth factor. Privacy is not politically correct. Neither is a decentralized market. Many governments want to outlaw encryption at the public level.

A liberal's opinion of what is professional is quite different from a conservative's opinion. I will always support freedom, and privacy of the innocent.

So as long as I live, I will continue to make fun of trolls, and anyone who only shows up to add needless negativity.

[I am extremistan by the way]

Sorry but refraining from taunting is not the same as being politically correct.  Taunting is what children do when they don't have a better argument against their opponent's words. Ad hominem attacks only weaken the argument.  Lying, cheating, stealing, etc. are certainly not condoned in our community here but you can't prevent all wrong acts... there will always be accusers, haters, and liars in every group or project.  People are this way because we are dealing with real money, and the stakes are high for whichever projects dominate in the field they're attempting to take over.  I have been a fan of SDC for a very long time and I will continued to be, but I can't tell you how frustrating it is when I come to our thread and someone has jumped on the ass of some random troll. If what they have said is completely baseless, make it known in as simple of a manner as possible, or simply ignore them -- nothing more than that.  If they come with arguments of merit, then debate them with intelligence.  Not all criticism is destructive, but most in this group take criticism in that way, and it's time we stop it.  If you have time, energy, money, and emotions invested in this project then do something positive for it; but arguing and attacking are the most destructive thing you can do.  I'm making a plea to every one of you to stop at this point.  It's not about being a pacifist or politically correct, it's about thinking further ahead than just the next 5 minutes of being angry, it's about appearance to newcomers, and it's about professionalism.

I am a very large holder of SDC, so this type of behavior really rubs me the wrong way.  If I (and others, especially the devs!) risk large amounts of time, and money in this project and you put that at risk by banter and unprofessionalism, well shame on you.  Please think of others before acting, that's all I ask.

104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] ShadowCash | POSV3 | Untraceable E-Cash | NIZKP | HD+BIP32 | ShadowMarket* on: June 30, 2016, 12:59:44 PM
What do you think? Is it too late to enter?

To buy ShadowCash? No way.  It's cheap right now. It's been building up a solid base lately.  Once the new user interface is released (this week) and the market hits testnet I expect this thing to start taking off.  It's going to garner a lot of attention from people that don't yet know it exists.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: April 17, 2016, 11:06:42 PM
End of the month.  Tentatively the 28th, I believe.  Someone correct me if i'm wrong. Smiley

Do you have any sources that it's the 28th? Last time I heard it was still undecided.

I believe I saw it discussed on the slack.chat -- i recommend going in there and asking if you want a more concrete answer.

is there a link where I can read which method will be used to distribute LISK?

You can read about Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) here: http://cryptorials.io/glossary/delegated-proof-of-stake/

It's the same method used by BitShares.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SDC] ShadowCash Uncensored: Zeuner, Zero Knowledge, Zero Trust. What Happened? on: December 02, 2015, 10:42:00 PM
CH - why does it really matter? All the Cinni stuff, the donation, etc. I skimmed this thread before getting to this point and, I have to say, I really question why you're so wound up about it all? If you don't like the project or you got burned on it earlier in the year, then walk away. I'm a professional asset manager and trader in many different non-crypto markets and i've never seen someone get so obsessed with attacking a company/investment or project like this--especially one with such a small market cap. There's not way you lost an 'impactful' amount of money on this in the last year, cause trust me, the liquidity in this is negligible.

The other mind boggling part about all this is the fact it's an open source project, if you have questions, go check it yourself.  If you can't understand it, then invest with caution, it's that simple. These guys owe you nothing, they're not regulated by the SEC or CFTC or even the BBB, your choice to participate or not participate fully rests on your judgement alone.  In my industry if something doesn't make sense to me, be it a company, project, or currency, you move on.  You'll go broke and insane trying to fight any person or group that upsets you when you're trying to determine where to invest your money.

If this realm isn't your cup of tea, as it seems, then I invite you to spend the remainder of your resources and come play in the equities market--on behalf of myself and fellow traders we look forward to your future "donations."  Smiley
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: butterflycoin 100BTC| Aug 31 Release for anonymous message and market or more on: August 21, 2015, 04:40:58 PM
No matter how you laugh! ! ! This is butterflycoin, maybe you do not support him, but it will go better. We have a own team. You can deny him, but you can not stop the development of the BFC. I will endeavor to update the wallet so that more people recognized

If you have your own team and are so confident in your abilities, then why directly copy everything from another coin (ShadowCash)? You cannot take credit for any of this work, it is not yours, you are not an innovator, this has zero value I am sorry to say.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: butterflycoin 100BTC| Aug 31 Release for anonymous message and market or more on: August 20, 2015, 07:11:16 PM
For those who are interested in investing in this, based on the announcement graphics, it seems as though this is a direct clone of ShadowCash. The last few attempts at ICOs by projects that cloned Shadowcash were proven to be scams. To date, the only legitimate project to clone ShadowCash has been Jumbucks.

I don't see a link to the source code so there's no way of telling if copyright attribution was given to the ShadowCash devs but I'm certain copyright infringement has already occurred due to the images created by the Shadowdevs being used inside the announcement with no credit given.

Invest with caution.

I completely agree.  This coin is an absolute joke and a complete ripoff of SDC.  Investors beware.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] ShadowCash | POSV2 | Untraceable E-Cash | NIZKP | HD+BIP32 | ShadowMarket* on: August 16, 2015, 10:28:38 PM
so glad skip is done or gone! shadow will explode buy some before its to late!
SDC is the real deal no hype no gimmicks just cutting edge tech and a bright future, get in now be willing to hold LT like a few years! and it will reward you big time, this is not a short term investment, the bloke who just dumped was impatient.
Neither of you guys are offering anything to the discussion here. Just comes off as shilly investment advice with the syntax and vocabulary of mindless unoriginal pumpers. In my opinion, this language is a major turn off. If I wasn't already invested (monetarily and mentally) in Shadow and came into this thread to discuss the coin, saw posts of this nature, I'd leave and never think twice about coming back. Not trying to offend either of you, just calling it like I see it.

I have to agree, Wheat.  Cheerleading like that doesn't really get people to invest, unless they're a complete n00b with .3 bitcoin to throw at it.  Anyone bigger who you're hoping to attract will see that as "this coin is propped up by a bunch of fan boys" -- if no technical reasons are listed to back up such claims then it becomes hot air.  Doesn't help the community much.

Drama incoming Smiley

I don't think so!  It is all good to me, if a large holder gave up and sold off 70k sdc that is good.  Better now than while we are on the rise.

Agreed.  Better to get a large holding out of the hands of a weak participant than for it to go on longer and they try and pull that same thing later on. Also helps spread out the distribution more.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] ShadowCash | POSV2 | Untraceable E-Cash | NIZKP | HD+BIP32 | ShadowMarket* on: August 07, 2015, 09:06:08 PM
Shapeshift is awesome, but we also need a fiat -> SDC exchange for ease of use for beginners.  That's why bitcoin has been able to attract so many new people because of coinbase, circle, etc.

You are welcome to become a reseller of prypto cards at prypto.com and start selling them on ebay or wherever else for cash if you are so inclined. You can customise the cards in your own way too. The business is legit and has all the resource and contacts for the job. All under one umbrella. There are plenty of ways, i believe the market is just not there yet. So i also feel that regurgitating the same crap over and over in this thread is getting really old ( "we need, this needs, devs need to") as though owning a bit entitles you to be like that.

I tell you it dosn't, not in that way. I believe it EMPOWERS you as a proactive community member to take these things you come up with by your own initiative and run with them. That is the core spirit of all of this open source CRYPTO. Lets call them "Have A Go Projects."

I believe it is what Satoshi was aiming for and is what we should all still be trying to encourage... always. Because if we leave it up someone else we will inevitably end up right back where we started with government etc etc.

I agree with that mentality, and the prypto thing is a good idea.  But do realize there are multiple types of people in the world, some that come up with ideas, some that implement them, and some that organize groups in order to accomplish those ideas.  It's ok if people want to chip in and contribute ideas or suggests, I implore those that have the skills to execute on them to do so, and if they don't, then they should seek to find those that can.  If I see something that should be done, and have the skill set to do it, then I attempt to do so.  I personally can't set up a fiat exchange, but I would certainly do what I could to spread the word and seek to attain mass adoption for someone if they laid the groundwork. I know some of the programmers in the slack discussion have begun collaborating on how it can be done and who can do what -- this is what we need.  Smiley

Everyone can be a spoke in the wheel, it's just a matter if figuring out where one's skills can be applied.

i just met up with one of my buddies that works for https://getmagicnow.com/ and they started accepting Bitcoin for their service. We should get them familiar with ShadowCash!!! They are a fairly new service. Lets start waking them up now. Giving them a call today. !!!!!

That's awesome! SDC would definitely be a cool crypto for them to accept too, especially for people that want total privacy with their orders.

There won't be total privacy because someone has to place and fill the order. So it might not have much appeal, unless Magic also procures escorts which are technically legal.

Any service that will bring a whore to your door will be the big breakthrough for SDC. This is why I think the Android/iPhone wallets are as important as the marketplace. Hookers use phones not computers.

I know, but using a burner phone and a hotel address + SDC is exactly what some people can do.  It's very easy to get around this type of stuff, but paying with CC or PayPal is absolutely the worst for anonymity, BTC is better but it sure isn't SDC Smiley -- that's why I think it could be really cool for this group to offer it.

Don't even need a burner phone. To prove prostitution you have to prove that money changed hands. As long as the phone wallets are properly lockable and/or have the ability to delete stealth addresses and transactions from the history in case the phone is physically seized you're golden. Without that financial transaction the story is this sexy 18-year old girl knocked on my hotel room door and asked if she could come in and have sex with me, and nobody can prove otherwise!  Grin

hahaha just talked to my buddy again and someone paid for a money counter using Bitcoin. When  you purchase with Bitcoin they do not ID you, at all. That is coming from a current employee.

Nice, they still should open up to SDC also. BTC is still only pseudo-anonymous.

Wondering if anyone else has had problems with their SDC wallet on Cryptsy? My wallet has been "Under Maintenance"
for a month now! Unable to withdraw coins I bought. I'm about done with Cryptsy. Other exchanges are faster and more reliable.

Never have used them, most everyone here uses Bittrex for their SDC trading.  Never have had a problem with them.  You can also use Poloniex but the liquidity there for SDC isnt as great as on ttrex.
