wonderfull ...
I love the new GUI ...

few things I've noticed though
- when editing worker the "only work on private pool" check box is always checked
- public shares seem ok but the private shares counts are much lover than expected and also public+private << total

thanks for the hard work!
110  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Bitdust - Make your bitdust work for you on: June 14, 2012, 09:31:41 PM
IMO the price should be 0.0003 (for 1 kh/s) rather than 0.003 BTC. More liquidity; put those hundredths of a bitcent to work!

Anyways nice idea!

Excellent point, the 10 KH/s was pretty arbitrary. 1 KH/s should be fine but I'll have to check the math on the rounding of payments. We're going to end up with something like a million share IPO  Cheesy

Well, if you go for 1Hh/s it's fine but then you have to be careful about payouts rounding ... and it would get even worse if the difficulty would go up.

The idea is interesting ... the sub 1Mhash/s bonds are rare ...
If you do 100% PPS or more it will be attractive ...
otherwise holder of your bonds would need to check if they have enough your shares for 1 "better" larger bond to not lose on lower %PPS and that's probably tedious work
are you planning on paying daily dividends? how are you going to round? ... as that might be already important in your case
anyway if blazr puts out the blazrbond it would be superior offer ... so consider sticking at 100% PPS

True, if blazr releases their 0.15 MH/s bonds it would be a superior offer for individuals looking for a long-term mining bond. My goal however is not to run a traditional mining company but rather provide a service for the gap between bitdust and the 1+ MH/s bonds available to users. I do NOT want to divert my full 16 GH/s(another machine came online  Grin) towards this venture. Think of it more as a temporary solution for your bit dust rather than a permanent solution.

I plan on daily dividends. I need to script up the auto-payment and see how much overpayment would occur with the rounding.
Well there are some bonds/shares smaller than 1Mh/s as mine is ... but they are still very big compared to 10Kh/s or even 1Kh/s. My point for my offering was to have enough liquidity with relatively small offering ... but you brought it level higher. :-)

112  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: June 14, 2012, 09:24:15 AM
Does anyone know why Giga and many other Mining bonds have lost around 20% of there value in the last few weeks.

Has a large investor pulled out?

I believe a large part of our current issues can be explained by the following asymmetry/inefficiency in the GLBSE market:

If I want to sell 1000 GIGAMINING bonds (or any other bond or stock) I can simply put in a sell order and it does not cost me anything.

However, if I want to buy 1000 GIGAMINING bonds (or any other bond or stock) I have to put up the full amount of BTC in order to place the order.  So for the entire time the buy order is in the book I have to tie up that amount of BTC.  So there is a cost, an opportunity cost, to placing buy orders.

So the bottom line is that it is easier to sell than to buy.  Until this issue is fixed the bids will always be lighter than asks and there will be an intrinsic bias toward selling and therefore and intrinsic downward pressure on prices.

Someone forward this to Nefario, I nag him enough.

please recall how gigamining was issued. private (otc) sales before ipo bought bonds at 1 btc / bond, thus selling at 1.20-1.30 still represents a 20-30 % profit (plus the dividends from the meantime of holding the bond)

it is not true that selling is easier i.e. it does not cost anything - the sell order blocks the shares and prevents them from being transferred or offered for sale at a different price. thus you can't have fake sale wall the same way as you can't have a fake buy wall. what you see in the order book is what you can have. nothing else.

if you expect bitcoin / shares in the future and want to make the order now, hm, no worky. wait and act after you have the funds in your account.
even if you have a regular income and would like to post a permanent order that would be filled per partes as the funds arrive, can't do it right now.

well you cannot sell shares you don't have on GLBSE and many people would like to have this option ... but it is a little bit more complicated

most of us miss a much more simple thing ... placing multiple buy orders with my balance ... I have the money ... I don't ask for margin trading ...
and simply if any of my buy orders gets filled - all the other are checked imediately and if my new balance isn't sufficient for any of them -> they are or deleted (very simple) or reduced in volume (to max volume my funds fit) or stay in full on my own orderbook but are listed publicly (and thus tradeable) only in reduced volume (but if some of my sell orders gets filled the new higher balance could allow to have them listed publicly again in full)

We don't need to have immediatelly the complex solution ... but the simple one with deleting the orders would be great ... the only condition is that the orders must be executed sequentially by the exchange (which I guess is how GLBSE works now) and with each trade check all buy orders of the buyer and delete those that don't have adequate balance for

Could we have a list of dividends paid on the asset's management main page (when you click portfolio).
Maybe they could be listed after the Fees paid section.

Also the dividends paid are missing in the CSV list. Fees are there but I feel dividends are more important ... but missing.

Thanks.

Everything was resolved quickly with GLBSE support so I'm fully GLBSE verified and the IPO can go live as planned on Monday at 05:56:42 GLBSE time.
As a promotion I offer 120% PPS payouts during June and July.
I'll also do daily payout during fundraising.
119  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] PAJKA.BOND - 120% PPS 0.33Mhash mining bond on: June 09, 2012, 10:16:01 AM
Ok, let's get some answers to Sukrim's great questions:

All that numbers bigger than 100% PPS seem to imply to me is that you intend to oversell your actual mining capacity (= you have 0.33 MH/s but you intend to pay more than 100% PPS from these) which would make me more sceptic than you offering 100% PPS.
In fact it is exactly the opposite way. My profit is more than 110% PPS and my mining capacity is more than what I'm selling. I have approx. 2.65 GH/s of mining capacity and selling only 1.65 GH/s because I want to be on the safe side so I can pay 110% PPS, cover downtime and so on and still be profitable.

  • Will you verify fully with GLBSE?
Yes, I will fully verify.
I've sent questions about GLBSE verification to GLBSE support on Thursday but no answer yet.
I also sent all the information according to my best understanding on Friday but probably missed the deadline.

  • Please post pictures asap of your mining hardware including some handwritten note to be sure it's from you
Already did, see previous post.

  • Do you have measures in place how you can guarantee that you actually do own the hash rate claimed (pool payout monitors, a verified payout address from a pool that you mine in, pictures, Huh) and not just go Ponzi, pay the ~1% per week from deposits and after half a year take a run?
Well, I lease the work to GPUMAX and if GPUMAX is not accepting leased work I mine at BitMinter pool.
For GPUMAX I have fixed payout address 1Heoc3UoayqmSrWMBM5FShA6zmKJT4A2S3.
For BitMinter I don't but when GPUMAX is not accepting leased work you can see me (xkrikl) in the Top 50 list on BitMinter.

  • How much hash rate do you actually own right now and what would the money you raise be used for?
Right now I have 10 ztex singles producing on average 2070 MH/s and one  HD7970@1GHz slightly undervolted producing on average 680 MH/s.
As all the others I plan to use the money I raise for expansion. I have to decide yet if it will be BFL singles or ZTEX quads.

Please post the exact formula you wil use to determine "100% PPS" (if you don't have one yourself, the one used by MOORE seems to me the most comprehensively written + correct one)[/li][/list]
The formula will represent sum of daily payouts:
weekly dividend = sum of daily dividends
daily dividend = 1.10*330000*86400*B/(D*2^32)

in which:
B is the block reward, which is 50BTC now,
D is the difficulty of that day (if the difficulty changes that day then it's simple average of the new one and the old one).

  • When and for how much per share and how many shares will the IPO be?
Well, I've already created the asset on Friday and was charged the 8BTC fee but it didn't appear on the IPO list so I've emailed the GLBSE support to find out what went wrong.
The IPO was planned for Monday June 11th but this might get delayed until I get the answer from GLBSE support team.
The planned IPO price is 0.1 BTC per share.
