Those stats looks like they're for the normal pool, this is the solo pool thread.
The stats show your miner is not online currently, however. Your last share was on Thursday, October 26, 2017 How about now? { "hashrate1m": "3.89T", "hashrate5m": "2.94T", "hashrate1hr": "420G", "hashrate1d": "18.4G", "hashrate7d": "2.64G", "lastshare": 1511995776, "workers": 1, "shares": 376000, "bestshare": 193752.1421222562, "bestever": 193752, "worker": [ { "workername": "1BdcszfZn7ufNAND1KiGyvExG5eED2Acdj", "hashrate1m": "3.89T", "hashrate5m": "2.94T", "hashrate1hr": "420G", "hashrate1d": "18.4G", "hashrate7d": "2.64G", "lastshare": 1511995776, "shares": 376000, "bestshare": 193752.1421222562, "bestever": 193752 } ] } What's to be expected from attaching one miner to a solo pool? Don't think I've ever done a solo pool before.

I've been assigned to these stats for a while now with my Antminer S9. How do I understand these stats?

Is this still a valid? I used to mine at this pool a while ago but after everything went to heck, I didn't know if we're still in a transitioning phase or not. And if this is the correct address to aim my bit miner at, is there any way to see that my miner has done work adequate enough for payout?

I just assigned my Antminer S7 to the pool. Put the 'POOL 1' url as pool.ckpool.org:3333. Now it's been ages since I last tinkered with the miner so my memory isn't as reliable, so let me just verify.
URL: pool.ckpool.org:3333 Worker: My BTC Address (Is that the same as a wallet receiving address?) Password (Just type something in?)
My miner status shows that stratum+tcp://pool.ckpool.org:3333 is 'Alive' with 36 "GetWorks" and 312 "Accepted".
Did I get it right or am I missing something?

So if my bitminers can't mine anything from the current pool (It stopped dead in October), how do I switch to this new system?

I had an electrician install a new power outlet in my basement and he modified a connector to fit into the the power supply. My Antminer S7 is up and running!
I had no idea that every outlet in my house was inadequate to power the device.
Thank you all for the help!
How much did he charge if you don't mind me asking? I know when I looked into 240 an having it done by electrician I got an outrageous quote after they saw miners. What all work did he do? Add 240 breaker, electricity wire, outlet? And thanks for sharing. An associate friend of mine who got the miner paid for his service so I don't have a quote on me now, but he was able to hook up a 240 outlet right next to the breaker box within 20 minutes and left me the male end of the plug that would be used to modify a 14g cable. I'll see if I can find a quote for you later on. Bad news is that I'm not able to use my Amp reader anymore.

I have come into the acquisition of an Antminer S7 and *gulp* upon the advice of Amazon, purchased a AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series 1600W Power Supply http://www.amazon.com/AntMiner-APW3-12-1600-Series-Supply-Bitcoin/dp/B013WW2YWE/ref=pd_bxgy_147_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1CHAC9KDBAPSSKG302CFEverything seemed well and good when I plugged the power supply into the socket. The fan churned on and everything sounded normal, but the S7 itself was deader than a door nail. I checked the amps and moved to a 15amp socket with no positive effect either. I even tried to power my Antminer S5 to no avail. PICTURESAnd there were these two plugs that confused since one of them had what looked like a feedback connector while the other one did not. So, is the writing on the wall and I messed up in getting the right Power Supply for the S7, or am I missing a step? My bitcoin comrade thought it was strange that the plug input is the same as many devices used today in computers and PSU even though he doesn't think that kind of cord would work on a 264VAC.

Yep you might have to drop down the frequency or reboot a few times. Unfortunately on occasion the S5s can get a finicky blade. We'll see what you find !
On the occasion it does get a finicky blade, is there anyway it can be service or a means of replacing it?

Hi,
it seems that one hashboard drops out. It is chain1 or chain2, check the red LED on each chain (top view on the S5). You may also see it in your webinterface by checking the temps -> the dropped chain is obviously the colder one.
Huh. Currently Chain #1 has a temp of 18 while Chain#2 has a temp of 45. Going to check this out. Will advise.

Ok comrades, my Antminer is slowing down and I need to figure out what her deal is. First, the details.
Miner Type: Antminer S5 Hostname: antMiner Model: GNU/Linux Hardware: 3.4.3.0 Power Source: Corsair CX 750
I remember when I first started this unit that it averaged about 1100Gh/s but now according to the system it's dwindled to about 555Gh/s. One of the first things I noted that was different was that the cooling fan shifts between speeds at random. One of the blades is showing a red light next to one of the power connectors.
Steps I've taken: 1. Reset the device 2. Increase the frequency from 350m to 400m.
Both yielded negative results. I'm requesting suggestions on what I should do next.

|
The problem with my boards was due to lack of coolant paste. When the miners lost internet connection the boards were broken. This was my problem, I hope it helps. I just re-pasted everything with thermal paste and we're still getting a red light. So I guess my next course of action is to... send it in for repair? Grr. this has officially gone into hardware territory.

What PSU are you using with it? I could not tell with it on side of picture.

The light I was referring to is on the top of the hash boards next to one of the power connectors. Is this it? However the question was only really relevant if you were hashing at about half speed to identify if one board had gone down. As you are not hashing at all then it might be a problem with the controller. I returned the hashrate to default settings after a while and there was no change.
|
|
|
When you restarted did it hash at the lower rate or not at all? Not at all. If at about half speed then one of the hashing boards may have gone down? Check and see if the little Red LED near the top of each board comes on when it starts hashing?
Is this the red light you're referring to?

I've been running my Antminer S5 on the network for a bit more than a solid week now and the pool I use (eligius) is reporting that my Hashrate has dropped quite a percentage over the last two days. Here is a picture of the Hashrate Graph. So far I have not found any way of bring it back up. Is this a hard ware issue, pool issue or something else entirely? Things I have done: - Reset the Antminer
- Shutdown the Antminer for a few hours than power it back on
- Reduce the frequency rate by about 100 (350M Default to 250M) than back again.
|
|
|
Yes, that is correct. For Eligius, you put a receiving address that you have, as the username for the miner. You then use that same address on http://eligius.st/~gateway/stats. And that did it! Now all I have to do is wait and see what happens. Thank you very much for all your help.

for the pool you should see statistic if is properly configurated in few mins/hours if you see that you have X/Khs or X/Ths (in pool website statistic tab) miner is properly forwarded to the pool and you will receive Shares and this shares after block confirmed/mined from the pool you can cash out to the wallet
Ah, I think I know where my problem is. On eligius' website, it says - Please be sure to pass a valid address as your username
So does that mean my user name should be the "Receiving Address" from my Wallet? Thank you for helping by the way! I really appreciate it!

Greetings and salutations!
I have recently started an interest in bitcoin mining and have found myself in a pool of swirling confusion in regards to how to go about it. For starters, my progress.
I downloaded Bitcore for my Mac, created an account with password phrases and it's still "Synchronizing with network". Is that important or do I need to let that finish?
As for the mining device itself, I've acquired an Antminer S5, hooked it up to an appropriate power supply, connected it to the network and powered it on.
After locating the IP address of the Antminer S5, I was able to enter a pool that my friend recommended (eligius) and the 'Miner Status' tab lists the pool as 'Active' with time being elapsed. I'm assuming that's a good thing, but here's where I'm stuck. I have no idea what to make of the layout, terminology, or find out if it's mined a coin or not. Is this 'Miner Status' tab where you find out how much bitcoin you've accumulated or is that calculated elsewhere? I've tried reading the user manuals but nothing is said about what to do with anything the Antminer does.
In short, the Antminer S5 is running, the pool is active, I have a wallet program, now I'm stuck figuring out the next step.
Suggestions?
