4381  Other / Meta / Re: Make this forum a better place - part 3 on: January 05, 2021, 12:27:32 AM
Well, some forums allow to click "like" on posts and it's quite useful thing. When user agree or like someone's post, he don't have to reply to that post with basic reply like "I agree..." or something similar, he simply can click "like button. But here, I don't think such thing would be useful. We already have merits which do pretty much same task. And dislike, I don't think such thing would be useful. If post is really so bad, probably it should be reported. If you simply don't agree with other opinion, it's not a reason to dislike post. And "haha" reaction, c'mon, it's not Facebook, I don't think such thing is needed.
And about additional system to rank up, I don't think we should make things more complicated. IMO, merit system is fully enough for rank up.

I just can't believe Valencia can go in lower league, and I am not sure what happened with them this year but they are very unpredictable.
It is not safe to bet on them anytime, but how much times can Cadiz really win away from home with their below average team and?
Both teams have some injured players but h2h previous matches are on Valencia side and I think they can get narrow win here.
Wake up Valenica!
Valencia weren't good already last season and now they are even worse. Well, their squad isn't very impressive, but not such bad to be in relegation zone. They are very inconsistent and I awoid betting on them for long time already. They had few decent games - win against Real and Real Sociedad, draw with Barca, but at the same time they can't beat bottom table teams. And I think their problems is more deep than just sauad or manager, it's more about their owner Peter Lim.

By the way, anyone expecting major Laliga transfer-in or transfer-out in the current winter transfer window? What's the buzz around?
About transfers, usually winter window is quite calm in Spain. And this year probably won't be exception, considering pandemic situation and financial problems of clubs.

@casperBGD, despite that Valencia doeesn't looks good so far, I still think it's unlikely that they can relegate to Segunda. In upcoming few weeks they will face their direct competitors, so they will have chance to improve their situation.

Not sure how many will go with Lambo if they happen to win it, like if I win I would prefer to take away the bitcoin as I would buy some other luxury car by myself and happy to save money rather than having Lambo and invest or buy something else with the remaining amount of left over money. In today's times holding bitcoin itself is the best deal to just keep growing money.

Will you choose Lambo or btc if you happen to win?

For someone whos isn't from US, I think it's unlikely that someone will pick Lambo instead of money. First of all, you would have to pay quite a lot for delivery and import duties. Also, it's not cheap to keep car like Lambo. Insurance for such car is expensive, you also would have to find safe place to keep car because it attract a lot of unwanted attention. Finally, you need some spare money to pay speeding fines Cheesy. Also, I doubt that you can find center of warranty maintenance in every country, so it might be another problem.
But maybe if high roller from US will win, I wouldn't be surprised if he will take Lambo.
4384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 03, 2021, 09:59:07 PM
Second away win in a row, clean sheet - not bad result for current Barca. But honestly, I expected for something more because our opponents today was last team in the league. Yeah, we dominated the game, but 0:1 score is very tricky and it keep us in tension until final minutes. But win is win and we are slowly getting closer to Top 4.

I saw someone here who won 50 Golden tickets and makes me think what he will feel once he won the lambo. Congratulations to the person who will own that lambo and to everyone as well.
It was me probably, because I got 50 Golden tickets some time ago. But with 50 tickets I would need unbeleavable luck to win Lambo when there is almost 1.9 million total tickets and 111 days left until lottery draw.
Today I also got 500 tickets for weekly lottery, what is really nice thing. Most of time I get 50 tickets, what is already significant addition. Maybe with help of Wheel of Fortune, my lucky day will come Cheesy.
4386  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How did you do last year? on: January 02, 2021, 11:58:18 PM
I would say it was not great, not terrible year for me personally. I didn't got Covid-19, my family members and close friends didn't it too. I didn't lost my job and even earned a bit more money than in 2019. And this crazy Bitcoin bull run brings me really nice profit.
But 2020 was strangest year in my life and there is not much significant and positive happened for me what I would like to remember. I'm really tirred to live in these covid related restrictions. All these negative news from media makes me depressed. I miss normal life a lot. Going out with friends to pub, watching movie in cinema or football in full stadium, celebrating Christmas with relatives from abroad. I miss these simple things so much. At least we got pretty much free summer without restrictions, but still, it wasn't possible to travel whenever you want without masks, covid tests or 14 days quarantine. And as much as I hate to say, it's not likely that in 2021 life will return to fully normal what we had before March 2020. But I hope that at least 2021 won't be worse than 2020.
4387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to keep fiat safe while waiting to buy dips? on: January 02, 2021, 11:35:43 PM
Probably there is no 100% perfect solution. You simply can keep fiat on exchange, so that you would be able to buy on dip instantly without waiting until bank transfer will be made. Offcourse, it's not safest thing because there is risk of hacks. Though, in case of hacks biggest danger is for cryptocurrencies, but as @PrimeNumber7, then exchange can make "haircut" to all users ballances.
I'm not big fan of stablecoins, but it's another option. You can keep it on exchange, but offcourse, your own wallet is safer place.
And finally, it's possible to buy crypto on Coinbase using credit card, it's instant and not takes few days to complete like bank transfer.

Thanks guys for explaining me. I remember that maybe 10 years I was wondering why images in emails is disabled by default. I didn't understood how it can be privacy issue. So, now it's good to finally know exact answer why it can be dangerous.
@Pmalek, it's not just Hotmail or Yahoo, but also Gmail and probably all others more or less popular email providers by default have disabled images in spam folder.
4389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 01, 2021, 11:58:23 PM
Atletico still have to rely on the "bad luck" of Madrid and Sevilla to become champions this season. The club's unstable condition in terms of team and financially, if it can be utilized by Atletico, then the potential to win is still there. But, as one of the consistent teams from the start, Atletico deserve to be champions
Why they should rely on bad luck of Real and Sevilla, when they already have quite solid advantage against them. Sevilla behind 10 points, Real 2 points behind, but Atletico have 2 games in advance, so, potentially 8 points lead. So far they are most stable and consistent team in the league and if they will continue it all season long, it will be very difficult to reach them. Especially when Real aren't playing well and dropping points against underdogs.
4390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2021 PDC World Darts Championship on: January 01, 2021, 09:17:46 PM
Thought some more about tonight games and I came to the conclusion that one of the favs will go out. Chisnall hasn't won against MvG for ages and I don't see him winning today as well; also considering he has never been past the QF here and will surely get nervous once he comes close to it.
It's something incredible what Chisnall did today - beating Van Gerwen 5:0 is something unbeleavable. It's probably his best match in whole career. Odds for his win was over 5, maybe someone had stake on him?
Price - Gurney match was also very interesting where all 9 sets were needed to decide winner.
So, now we have semifinals on Saturday:
Chisnall - Anderson
Bunting - Price
4391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Primeira Liga (Portuguese League) Discussion on: January 01, 2021, 12:32:02 AM
true, i don't think Sporting can keep the same performance throughout the whole season, and they're competing against Benfica and Porto which makes it really hard for them, they're like Real Sociedad in La liga, started really well but couldn't keep it for a long time.
I don't think it's correct to compare Sporting and Real Sociedad, it's one of Big 3 teams in Portugal, which usually finnish in Top 3. It's more like Atletico in La Liga. Though, in recent years Sporting squad doesn't looks very impressive, they don't have big stars. I watched their game with Belenenses and wasn't very impresesd. Belenenses  could have won, but they missed penalty.
But as I already said previously, Sporting didn't qualified to Europa league and it can be advantage for them. Their calendar is less intensive and they can focus onl eague games only.

I think Freebitco is available for all the countries, and if gambling is banned in your country then use a VPN to use the site. Also I don’t think that they’ll disclose where they operate from due to safety concerns, and I personally feel that they’re safe so you can store your coins with them.
Maybe year or two ago I remember that I saw information where Freebitco.in is registered, but now I can't find it. I remember it's not Curacao, but one these offshore countries. Though, country where they are registered and country where they operate is 2 different thing. I may be wrong, but I predict that wetsuit is from US.

Lucky me today, I got 5000 free tickets by rolling wheel

Congrats! 5000 tickets is nice number. Good luck on Sunday lottery draw.

Someone has already mentioned that it is not the smartest thing to open such spam e-mails at all, because it is possible that those who send them use some methods to get your IP and some other information. In other words, you are letting the bad guys know that you are active and that it makes sense to keep trying to deceive you in some way.
Is it really possible for them to know IP address when you just open email without clicking any links? Because I've never hear about such thing before. If it's really possible, then probably it's not good idea to open these emails.

Is it possible to own a domain name that doesn't have a website, just e-mail hosting?
[/quote]
Yeah, it's possible.

4395  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Sending Bigger Amounts of BTC on: December 30, 2020, 11:18:32 PM
I don't send big amounts from hardware wallet often. But offcourse, when I send, I'm extremely careful. I don't double our triple times check everything - I check everything probably 5 times at least, such things like recipient address, amount, fees. And it's not just about hardware wallet, actually it doesn't matter where BTC is stored, in hardware, desktop, web, mobile wallet or exchange, we should be extremely careful when sending BTC. Better safe than sorry. I remember how careful I was and how many times I checked everything when I wanted to take Bitcoin forks. I knew that if I would do something wrong, I would lose all my BTC.
Though, when I send smaller amounts, something like $10 or $20, I don't take so many precautions. I check everything probably only twice. So far nothing wrong didn't happened for me and I hope won't happen.

Through all these phishing emails in my spam folder, today I found something new Smiley :

Never heard about website Crypto-mails.com before and I can't even access it.
4397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: December 30, 2020, 10:50:33 PM
Didn't watched Real - Elche game because I thought that Elche have no chances today, I expected big Real win. Results against underdogs like this can cost a lot for Real in title race, especially considering that Atletico don't waste points and today achievd important win over Getafe.
Celta are doing impressive things, not so long time ago they were in relegation zone and now they are close to Europa league spots. With new manager they won 4 of 5 recent league games and achieved 1 draw
There is games between Athletic - Real Sociedad and Osasuna - Alaves on Thursday. Can it better way to spend New Year's Eve than watching Basque Derby and game between La Liga underdogs? Cheesy
4398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion & Betting] Eurovision Song Contest 2021 on: December 30, 2020, 07:37:39 PM
Good to see you around in this thread @LTU_btc. Pretty bad luck for The Roop. It's not easy to produce a winning song for the ESC, especially not for a small country like Lithuania with few diaspora. Keeping my fingers crossed for them to be kissed by the muse this year as well Smiley
Yeah, it will be difficult to make another good song. Though, in recent years I noticed that quality of music increase in my country, there is enough groups or singers who easy get millions of views on Youtube, but most of them aren't interested to participate in ESC. Also, not everything fits to Eurovision.
When I will have time, I want to compare list of already confirmed participants and odds for last year Eurovision. I wouldn't be surprised if some countries which weren't ranked well by bookmakers decided not to send same participants in 2021 Cheesy.

As for the 2021 event, unfortunately, a recording will never have the same "quality" as a live performance, but the organization is right in that decision as it's better for the event to take place than to be postponed or canceled again. I hope everyone can participate live.
Well, if event will be held without spectators, I don't think there will be big difference between live performance and pre-recorded song. After all, it won't be shown through Zoom or similar platform - pre-recorded songs will be filmed on TV studio of their own country, so I doubt that there will be such big difference from live performance.
4399  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How many of you check the code of open source software? on: December 29, 2020, 09:39:19 PM
I don't check codes of open source software simply because I don't have programming skills - it's dark forest for me. Though, even if I would have such skills, I'm not sure that I would check it every time before downloading something. I imagine it may be quite time consuming.
But obviously, I don't use random unknown software - risk is too big considering all these scams in crypto area. It should be verified by someone who is reliable. For example, trusted Bitcointalk user or member of other community.
4400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 29, 2020, 09:20:17 PM
Barca killed me AGAIN. How often do you get a penalty that didn't convert and a chalked off goal from Braithwaite? Not knocking the guy, I still actually think he's better than Griezmann (Barca version I mean) but man, I got totally suckered into the Barca bet AGAIN.

Think this officially makes them the team that makes me lost the most parlays this season. And damn Betis now too haha 3-1 down bleh.
I guess it was last time when Braithwaite got chance to make penalty kick. Another shity performance by team today, but it's already so common thing this season that I hardly can find words to comment about this game. It's a joke to let Puig into the pitch only on 89 minute, it's sad to see how Koeman wasting his talent.
I don't even dream about La Liga title this season. But if we continue to play like now, there is big risk that we will end without spot in Champions league next season.
