721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: September 27, 2017, 08:09:17 PM
It is very simple for me that i am using bitcoin for my daily life work and some i use for sports betting. How daily life work means i just convert them to fiat currency and use it in my daily life as their is no bitcoin payment shop i have to convert them and use it.
722  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull trap? Or price going back to 4k for real? on: September 27, 2017, 08:07:09 PM
There is too much analysis in this thread arguing for both sides. Keep it simple, and buy Bitcoin on the dip. Ever since the scandal of MtGox, Bitcoin has been going up, then dip a little and it would go up again breaking out from a range everytime. All the FUD flung in its way have no effect.

Is there any reason why this should change?

in the long term, no. but your logic makes no sense to a trader. the value of BTC dropped like 90% from top to bottom after 2013. wouldn't you rather secure some of those profits, rather than holding the whole time and losing 90% of your money? holding through those types of losses can be very hard psychologically, and often pushes people into selling the bottom.

That was 2013, it is a different game now. But if I bought at the peak of 2013, I would still use the same strategy of buying the dip to average my position down. Bitcoin is not like a stock for me. I do not count it in fiat, I count it with how much Bitcoins I have in my wallet, and the more the better.

Quote
it's important -- both financially and psychologically -- to take profit at some point. that leads to the question: you say "just buy the dip." well, where does the dip end? was $3000 the end of the dip? or could the price still drop another 35% from there in november? people thought $400 was the bottom of the dip, years ago...... we ended up going sub-$200. "buy and hold" is great after a long term correction. not after hundreds of % gains in less than a year.

Take some profit and do what? Hold them in fiat? I am already earning that with my job.

You seem to have missed the point that was made. If the price is dropping, you can buy more bitcoins. Holding from the top in that situation meant potentially being able to buy 90% less bitcoins. It's not just about hedging USD value. It's also about keeping your fiat in reserve during a bear market so you can buy more bitcoins than you could have otherwise.

I get it, you take the perspective of an investor, not a trader. That's the disconnect between investors and traders. Traders aren't trying to sit through brutal drawdowns for years in order to ROI. For traders, it makes more sense to live to fight another day, rather than tie your capital to losers for the long term.

What you are saying is true that doing trade with the coin is good because with same investment you can earn more bitcoins buy trading bitcoins but same time if you see the investors point of that if sold and the price goes up and dont come down then what to do. So both traders and investors are correct on their respective ground of points.

724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Scam Question on: September 27, 2017, 12:44:41 AM
Is there a way that we can determine on how to know if an ICO offer is a scam or not?

AS you can see the above comments that almost everyone knows that no one can tell which ICO is scam or not. Even big and success ICO are going down when get listed and it takes time to increase the price until the projects are not finished and running successfully. ICO investing is not good but if you wait and let the coin get listed and see the performance after that you can try to invest in it and i can confirm that almost 99% of coins price will be down then ICO and so you can buy the good altcoins and play with them.
725  Economy / Economics / Re: China ban on crypto exchanges on: September 27, 2017, 12:33:30 AM
Like what almost everyone knows it that China has not ban on crypto exchanges but they have banned ICO. As they are getting lot of scams and lot of illegal money is moving and most of the exchanges are doing trading illegally. So China want to regulate Crypto exchanges so that in future they cannot manipulate in trades and create high fluctuation in crypto currency and scam users. This regulation is in protection to the users investment in crypto currency. So i think after the regulation only the genuine crypto exchanges will be working and this will create a more secure bitcoin world.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here is the list of altcoin you should watch out for on: September 25, 2017, 09:50:25 PM
Apart from the Op list their are other coins which are also worth to buy and keep longterm will give returns very good. ICN, ICOB, TIME, DCT, VSL. This all projects are in intiall stage and when they are fully functional the price may go above 5x surely
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 25, 2017, 09:33:47 PM
Their are lot of ways to earn free bitcoin through this forum, if you are high rank then very simple way is joining signature campaign and earning weekly , next option is joining the social and other bounty in new altcoins and earn free coins and when they are listed start trading the coin and  apart from this their are other lot of option , it is just you have to search and earn it.
728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How safe is localbitcoins? on: September 23, 2017, 08:48:38 PM
LocalBitcoin is safe and trusted but the people not so much if I can say. There are a lot of fraud there.

For example selling Bitcoin for Paypal then once sold, the buyer opens a dispute or chargeback with unauthorized account/transaction access. It is something common and that's why the sellers set a rate higher (20%) for Paypal sales. The same with bank transfers, there are a lot of people sending you bank transfer and then contact their bank with all kind of excuse.

That's unfortunately the nature of P2P. But I do find in my particular country anyway that the methods I use are extremely difficult to defraud. I always contact the trader first so if they don't provide a method of contact, I don't use them. Then, it has to be an online trade with escrow. Finally, the method of payment is usually online bank transfer. Once sent, yes they can still try and reverse the tx through the bank, but it happens with difficulty from their side.

Also, I do my sells in a few small batches with several trusted traders (those who have years of trades and high volume). It wouldn't make sense for them to sacrifice their feedback for a few hundred dollars. As a newbie, build up sells first so you have enough trust for people to want to take your buys.

That is why you must trade with the users who have trades done more then 1000 times , even i am selling my bitcoins for more then 2 yrs in local bitcoins but i have taken full precautions. But even i dont tell that it is safe but i first talk with the user before trading in localbitcoins exchange.
729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Btc drop near 2k? on: September 23, 2017, 08:21:07 PM
I felt like I missed a great opportunity at selling high and buying low when it reached 5k and drop to 4k a couple of days ago. Now it happened again from 4k to 3k. You think it will happen a third time, from 3k to 2k?

I am hoping that it will not but it is not bearable there are many things that affecting the price like those news that caused a decline in price . As of now the price is playing around $3500-$3800 and it looks like going to steady at that situation for a few days or weeks . Once it drop lower than that there's a possiblility that it will be continuous until it goes to the price that you were saying .
It not stable, now Bitcoin in neutral trend, therefore you do not see any signal or strong fluctuation on the market. Most of the traders are waiting the move of whales, I think we should keep our patience to see next move of whales too.
At present the price of bitcoin is in a stable manner growing towards $4000. While the price started to fall none expected that it will reach that low to $2900. All of the sudden the price once again started to pump and now this has been once again getting to reach $4000. On the whole patience is the must to benefit.

Ya it is true that patience is needed in trading and right now bitcoin price is moving between 3600 level to 4100 and breakout to any side will give bitcoin 500 ticks difference.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: just a simple question? on: September 23, 2017, 01:23:57 PM
As far as I recently read, china hold at least 20% of bitcoin around the world. They also have the biggest bitcoin mining due to the cost of electricity in their country was very low.
But i don't think that bitcoin will go down just because of that because other countries in ASIA are starting to adopt Bitcoin.

What you said is true that china is the main center for Bitcoin mining and their are lot of users who are holding bitcoin from low, and their exchange are the highest trading volume in crypto world but this are all old news latest one is South Korea and Japan are leading the bitcoin trading and even they have given bitcoin legal status. That is why the market is now spread between so many countries that china is not able to create any panic in the market.
731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc = you make me tired on: September 23, 2017, 08:14:06 AM
SegShit , bip888 , bip 999 , bipbipbip , btc you make me tired and stressed

I will trade your seconde wife = ethereum

It is upto you OP that what you want to do , because not all users are tired but they are taking this opportunity as good as they are getting free coins with this hard fork. and you cannot believe on ethereum as they also had hard fork and in some months they are also going to conduct another hard fork i have heard some where on this forum.
732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading on: September 23, 2017, 08:12:18 AM
I've been thinking for a bit about day trading Bitcoin, and am curious, what is a good amount to start with? Would it be possible to start with maybe $100-200 and work my way up?

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section, pretty new to forums here.

any amount of investment you can start for trading but think the profit according to it, if you stick with 20 to 30%  of profit for day trading then it will be good for you as it will be higher return on long term dont go greedy and want 100% profit in a day. If you follow this procedure then surely you will be in profit.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 23, 2017, 08:04:50 AM
Would you accept bitcoin as your salary in your profession, especially if you work in other country?

For me yes I will accept bitcoin because we can exchange it in our local currency.

very willing, but sometimes there is also a loss if at the salary price of bitcoin high then tomorrow bitcoin prices down, that's where the disadvantages
hence the bitcoin is still rarely used to pay employee salaries

Yes you are correct that there is possibility of high increase in rte of bit coin which is increasing the income of the investors very fist and that is the reason the interest of the people are increasing with the same speed of velocity so now a day’s bit coin is best source of income for all people who are investing in it.

I am doing full time work for bitcoin through this forum and other means and earning more then what i was earning in my salary job, but i know the risk that is why i convert my 70% of income to fiat currency and balance 30% as investment so in future if any risk is their 70% of income is ok for me to run my family for 2 yrs till then i can manage to get regular job. So everything has to be planned if not it will disturb the life
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you hedging the upcoming Segwit2x fork? on: September 22, 2017, 11:37:31 PM
It is probably a baked in reality at this point the we will have 3 Bitcoins in a few months after BTC forks again into a Legacy BTC and 2x BTC. This fork is looking to be more tumultuous than the BCH fork and we don't even know the details of any upcoming fork yet.

How are you going to hedge this event? Buy LTC? ETH? XMR? DASH? maybe BCH?

I hate all this childish bickering, but we should all start to place our hedges.

Mostly it will be another option of getting a new bitcoin copy of altcoin and what other said is true that it will be free money to earn, so this time no one will be feared by this news.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What the games you play as you earn? on: September 22, 2017, 10:41:01 PM
Question1: Best gambling games you ever in countered please do share it here I really want to try games that are fun and the same you earn Bitcoins?

Question2: can I play games by the use of altcoin or just bitcoins?

If you really wanted to earn then you should play gambling games which follow the strategy like poker , sportsbetting. In this game if you properly analyse the games with old datas of the team and ground then you can easily predict the score and bet according to it. In other games you need luck and in that 99% of time in the long term ended to loss
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Coins:buy during ico or in exchanges when price fall on: September 22, 2017, 10:32:20 PM
I have noticed an emerging trend where at least 90% of new cryptocurrencies at one point in their first month of release to exchanges will fall way below their ico price so why don't I just wait for that point and buy instead of buying during an ico?

What you are saying is true, what ever the coin project and worthy it is , when it get listed and when that coin bounty is delivered that time you can see the selling pressure in that coin and you will get way below the ICO price and that time you can buy if the coin has worth to buy because some coin just get dead and you also get saved by this type of scam ICO.
737  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What happens to BTC after they're all mined and billionaires own majority btc's? on: September 22, 2017, 02:15:22 AM
If i am not wrong bitcoin will be used as an another alternative coin and its value will also become 1satoshi = 1 $. dont know about mining.

739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Low Trade Volume on: September 21, 2017, 11:43:28 PM
Hi. Recently started trading Ethereum and Bitcoin so this all new to me. I was wondering what the decrease in trade volume could indicate? Seems like some a sign of big movement in one direction soon, but I'm just guessing there. Any suggestions?

What you are telling is correct but no one knows which direction it will move, as most of them are saying that before bitcoin move to high it will touch low of 3000 price so it can be that also.
740  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Starting a bitcoin exchange in india on: September 21, 2017, 11:40:41 PM

Ya it is true that it is not legal in india but even it is not illegal also, as their are bitcoin exchange where trading is going on their is no problem, what basis they are showing that no one knows.
