I had an S7 suddenly show as dead. It was running 10/23 firmware. Updating to the 12/11 firmware solved the issue.
mine too, updating new firmware 575 one the ok back. |

hi guys ... anyone get batch 1 refund information ?  when oct still get a email reply will get soon... but now is dec still no any respond from bitmain  Don't hold your breath, you won't get it. Look into the S4 psu "compensation" promises from Bitmain. Yes it sucks....nothing but a broken promise Par for the course, unfortunately. I wish they'd just outright say "Too bad, it's late, you're SOL. Thank you for your business." instead of making promises they know they won't keep. Big company can't do a little promise.. just know keep selling product. |

I tested a bunch of different settings; I recommend: Fan % Freq Watts TH/s Error % 30 612 1237 4.85 0.025 Measured 76 dB at 30% fan speed; surprisingly quiet. These run about 5C cooler than an S5+ 1/3 with the same power consumption. This allows you to run the fan at a lower speed. I used an EVGA 1300 G2 PSU so you should get slightly better w/GH with a server PSU. 0.255 w/GH with a Gold PSU  I have the new version of the controller. S7 has been mining without issue since the 23rd. Maybe share the new version of the firmware ? |

Batch 1 is but you can get batch 2 or 3 for sale Or you can buy my Batch 1 for what I paid as I am not sure I want it anymore. I am starting to get that same feeling. We paid a premium for a product that has missed its original shipping window (not considering their additional 10 day window) just to have the company go on vacation and not respond to support tickets but yet they have the time to post two additional batches for sale at a lesser price... Yup.. agree with that. i think all don't brother the batch 2 and 3 until the batch 1 is shipment. |

Bitmain has updated their site. The AntRouter test is gone, and they've added batch 2 and 3 of the S7.
Interesting that batch 2 is 4.66TH/s for $1585 and batch 2 is 4.86TH/s for $1658. Both ship in the same date range.
So I guess you pay a little more for better performance? Have they ever done that before?
In the past separate batches would have separate ship date ranges, not slightly different specs.
I just wish they'd ship the rest of batch 1. Still waiting for my second order from Sept 5.
JUst batch 2 the price drop 200.. damn. and my batch 1 still haven ship yet.. too bad like that |

Makes me wonder if they had multiple batches on making miners since some did not get this.
Agreed. Either way... I'm happy to get new gear. I certainly have not received such an email. I placed my order on September 9th. They may have it worked out [Back to 4.86 TH/s] by the time they get to fulfilling my order. My order/pay date (8th) is 1 day ahead of yours dmwardjr and I also have not received this notice. I also went back and see that Bitmain didn't do what they have done in the past when reporting the expected hash rate and use the +/- 10% or a 4.66 miner would still be within the range of the miners the email says they have left. with so far only 1 person reporting this email I wonder if it authentic or not? that why i post here for asking the truth .. not because i am newbie make me not authntic. |

hi..can be take a nice picture on your antminer 9 x 6pin conncetor with ur config cable to psu ?
because i plan using enermax 1500w psu and the plug out cable , each cable is have 2 x 6pin , the cable can be separate to another hashboard?

Time to answer some questions!Can you try to run it with two PCIe connectors per board? It would be interesting to see if it needs all three.

Can you confirm that the controller has 9 18-pin jacks, the same as the S5+? There are a number of us interested in trying to control multiple S7s from a single S7 controller. I assume that it's the same controller, given the pictures from Bitmain. But it would be nice to have actual confirmation from someone with an S7 in hand. Also, how long are the controller ribbon cables? Any chance that they would reach to an adjacent S7 next to a center unit? Note that there's there's already a separate thread around obtaining extra or longer ribbon cables: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173573.0Confirming that the controller has 9x 18 pin connectors. See this image: https://i.imgur.com/JzUJsN9.jpg (just zoom into the connector area, the image is pretty high resolutions so you can count all nine) As for the ribbon cables, they look fairly short. I don't think you'd be able to reach an adjacent S7 with the included cables. But I'm sure some longer ribbon cables would be able to reach the controller from a foot or two away. How is your power setup for the G1600 on the S7 each blade on its own 12v rail ? (For others reading this the lepa has 6 12v rails which makes this a little tricky set up)
I mentioned my power configuration before: I'm using the GPU/CPU/RAM rails on the LEPA to power the unit. I have four PCI-e connections on rail 12V5 (three connectors powering hashing boards and one powering the controller) and two connections on each of 12V3,12V4 and 12V6. So in total there are 10 PCI-e connectors on the miner and that's how I split them up.
I took a video of the unit as well, just going to render it and upload it now. Should be up in less than an hour! (Slow internet ftw!)

Will I get S7 coupons for buying the S7? I actually didn't know about the coupon thing..   Oh man! You could've used (or sold!) those 15 x $400 = $6,000 in S4 coupon discounts! damns, yo! -dave I'm not sure on those. There was a point they made coupons very easy to get. If you emailed them they gave the to you. And they gave a lot to people who got them. So they might not have been worth much at all. any coupon also can using on S7 antminer ? |
