2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret? on: August 31, 2020, 03:42:28 PM

Probably the fact that I sold 6 bitcoins at around 150 dollars. I mean at the time that was actually quite good amount of money for me and I really didn't need to sell it but I got it so much cheaper so it looked like a great deal, at that time I literally spent that money to go to a vacation so at the time it looked like I spent like a hundred bucks on something that turned into a huge vacation, that was really something I was quite happy about. Of course not so happy about it anymore because that could have been around 70 thousand dollars by now if I kept it, I couldn't have known it would have increased so much, at the peak of it 6 bitcoins was worth 120 thousand dollars, that is insane to think about it now, I regret not holding for longer. However it helped me to realize maybe I should hold longer, so thats what I am doing right now.
You mean 6 btc for a total of $150 or each. My biggest regret is also just like yours but I joined a little bit late and also sold my coins at cheap price of $1.1k and if i would have kept them with me right now then their cumulative worth would have been more than $60k, so i chose to sell my coins a little too early in desperate times or maybe I was thinking that I had made enough profit from those bitcoins.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: August 30, 2020, 06:28:49 PM
Generally speaking, higher-level accounts are more trustworthy than lower-level accounts. But the important is what about the quality of the project? And dentifying the quality of the project needs to rely on ourselves to search, to know the project's detail,team,etc...
As everyone knows that accounts can be brought and sold and this makes all the accounts equal to me, in my eyes if a project is announced by either a jr. member or a legendary member will be equal to me as I will do proper research before investing in those projects and won't ever trust any online identity whom I have never met face to face in my entire life even with a single dollar from my funds.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TrustWallet For Airdrops Tokens ? on: August 30, 2020, 05:56:18 PM
it is possible but in my opinion it is more comfortable to use metamask because doing tasks with a cellphone is very difficult, besides ethereum, trustwallet has many other chains such as binance chain and trustwallet can be used to store NFT to.
Yes, doing tasks on the mobile devices isn't as efficient and easily doable job than using a PC or a laptop on which you can have metamask installed with which you can easily do the tasks and earn the airdrop tokens, but airdrop hunting right now isn't as profitable as of 2015 and before where a decent airdrop could have easily landed you good amount of bitcoins, so it is better to work for bounties and then use those tokens.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: August 02, 2020, 02:51:17 PM
Speculating the prices has its pros and cons but I see it as good thing until the crypto market reaches some kind of adoption in the whole world economy because we are not yet up to the level to take into consideration.Currently the speculation is bringing the more people into the market if people don't really care about the prices we may not see such a huge bump in real short time.
The long pump is not because of the speculators joining in the pump, it occurs because of the shorts being liquidated by the margin trading exchanges and when this happens it creates more buying pressure in the market and hence the price goes up. Only people are calling longs now on every price point which is escalating the price movements now and once these calls will be put on halt that's when we will see the selling pressure and ultimately there will be a big fall in price of bitcoin.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: July 29, 2020, 02:44:24 PM
such projects appear a lot, actually the reward campaigns no longer make money like they used to be, when most of the projects didn't have liquidity for their tokens, a lot of old bounty hunters quit. I think projects should pay bounty hunters with stablecoins
Paying with stable coins is only possible for those projects having ICO already done prior to the start of the signature campaign but most of the campaigns actually require bounty campaigns to get highlighted in the community and then they get their ICO listed on the exchange and after it they are able to get the funds to support and develop the project. My advice is to have a promise to buy back the tokens from the community at a constant price, this makes the developers more trustworthy and the campaigns also lucrative for the bounty participants.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOUNTY PAYMENT MATTERS on: July 27, 2020, 10:55:18 AM
It really baffles me when bounty hunters won't get paid even after the success of the project, you see hunters pleading again after doing their jobs already, reason most hunters like bounty detective and Julerz ,their bounties are always escrowed and that even boost the morale of the hunters to work effectively because of certainty of their rewards.
I also like the idea how the bounty campaign managers are always thinking about the participants while launching a bounty campaign. Many a times it has happened in the past when the participants weren't paid for the job that they did and also the team refused to pay the participants or didn't commented on this matter. Now bounty detective taking this initiative is really a good thing to escrow the funds at the start of the campaign which ensures the bounty participants are paid at the end of the campaign.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM's in europe - ID limits on: July 26, 2020, 01:38:50 PM
I am in a country in europe where you can't buy any bitcoin without identification. So I thought I'll just fly to wherever I need to.  Cool

Where is it easiest to buy bitcoin on an atm? Without identification I mean. Just looking to buy a single bitcoin privately, so I could just stay several days somewhere and buy all I can daily.

https://coinatmradar.com/bitcoin_atm/13915/bitcoin-atm-general-bytes-budapest-edenkert-abc-0-24/

This looks promising if the 12000€ no id limit is true... But the info on that seems to be outdated quite often.

Where should I be headed?
Don't think that the no ID thing is true, the companies have to comply with the AML/KYC norms set by the Country and if found not following these norms then it will be very problematic for the Bitcoin ATM company. There have been many exchanges in the past which weren't following KYC norms and now all of them are closed and their owners either fined or facing Jail time. Even recently there was a person who was running a bitcoin ATM company without any license or following any KYC rules with over 100's of ATMs across California malls and now he is facing federal charges.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: July 25, 2020, 03:46:32 PM
In these times of turmoil, Gold is reaching new ATHs in price. But Bitcoin doesn't leave behind, as it quickly recovered to its "pre-COVID" prices on the market. It's today where Bitcoin prices are relatively stable. With a limited supply of only 21 million coins, hardened security, and a focus on decentralization, Bitcoin is often viewed by many as the successor of Gold. One of Bitcoin's greatest benefits on top of Gold, is portability. You can virtually carry your Bitcoin with you safely when travelling, without anyone noticing. That's not the case with Gold, as you'd need to carry physical bullion with you. Other than portability, Gold and Bitcoin are very much alike.

Do you think that Bitcoin will be able to replace Gold someday? As we shift into the "intangible" world, people will "ditch" physical stuff in exchange for digital items. Bitcoin can become the new digital Gold which serves as a safe-haven asset (store of value) in times of need. COVID-19 will greatly encourage people to adopt Bitcoin over Gold as their next store of value of choice. Thoughts? Huh
Bitcoin is having many advantages over gold as you told us and is indeed a better option to opt if given a choice between the two. But those old school investors would love gold to park their money and not choose bitcoin because for them it isn't a safe heaven as it isn't regulated and thus their money isn't safe in it. But for the speculators and the newer investors, bitcoin is way better as it is easier to send and receive and carry around without anyone noticing, imagine you would have to carry about a million dollars in gold, it isn't practically possible, but if you want to carry as much bitcoins you can in just your smartphone.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 25, 2020, 02:50:17 PM
Yes, you can earn what can sustain you for a whole month within 24hrs of trading, is very possible, trading can give u massive income in less than 24hours, it all depends on how good you are at what you do.
Don't you think that this isn't doable for most of the people out there, how can you earn 1 month of income in less than 24 hours of trading, for this you have to be either a legend in trading or you would be having some kind of insider information on the project and announcements or with the exchange itself.
Earning only a modest amount of money is possible from trading on a daily basis but those extravagant trades that gives you 10x or more happen only once in a long period of time.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 24, 2020, 03:39:57 PM
Can someone make it trading only altcoins?
Of course you can, I also trade on altcoin, I don't have Bitcoin, because the current price of bitcoin is still expensive, and in altcoin everything is still cheap, so I decided to altcoin, and I'm grateful to be profitable
The reward is pretty less as compared to the risk that you are taking and if you don't have a clue about trading and are doing a fresh start with trading then I wouldn't advice you to do so, I have seen a lot of people getting REKT while trading in just a single bad trade and it took them months to build that amount of funds that were lost in a single trade due to the unpredictable market. First you should learn trading cryptocurrencies and then practice the strategies told in a practice account and when you feel confident enough to conquer the market, you should finally start with a small amount of capital and try to make it big instead of starting with loads of money initially.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Illegal mass adoption on: July 24, 2020, 03:06:27 PM
Wot. This dude managed to get some kiosks in freakin malls without a business license? I'm not even mad, that's impressive.. impressive how the malls have been so careless to the point that they conducted business with some dude without a license.

I really don't know what this dude was thinking though. Did he really expect to not get caught? I would understand if he did everything online, but we're talking about physical bitcoin ATMs. Literally thousands of people pass by those ATMs by the daily LOL.
More intriguing thing is that there isn't any data or any transaction records of the people who purchased the bitcoins from these bitcoin ATMs and this just laughs on the face of AML laws, this shows the real power of bitcoin as to taking the finance in our hands, This man is really a legend to have done such a gutsy job.

I usually wondered how Bitcoin atm in other part of the world operates. Most/many without license?
If you have to do any kind of business, especially for exchanging money, you need to have a License in most parts of the world, even the money exchangers near the airports of every major city also require license to exchange the money of the tourists. Obtaining a license in those countries where bitcoin and crypto isn't legal yet is going to be bit of a problematic task, but if the demand is good then it will be worth the hustle.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning: crypto related twitter accounts (Binance, Bitcoin, TRON, &more) hacked on: July 20, 2020, 02:40:02 PM
The most surprising thing about this story for me is how quickly people were ready to part with their money for a rather controversial adventure.
There are hundreds of similar scams, they are all the same.

The hackers didn't even decide to invent anything new, but used a completely old and hackneyed scheme. Nevertheless, they earned 100 thousand dollars.
The question is why people still do not think with their own heads?
No one was given enough time to rethink about it. Only half an hour was the upper time limit, bitcoin transactions usually take longer than that to get confirmed, so people were in a hurry to double up their money and in the end they got scammed. Moreover as more than one account was having the same tweet and all were verified accounts which added more credibility to this scam. Scammers are finding new ways to steal our money and but since these twitter scams are running from quiet a lot of time any veteran could have seen the truth behind it, if bitcoins were being given away then the verified account could have just asked the address, why they had to make the user send money to them on a promise to return double money back.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we headed for 250k btc in 12-18 months? on: July 19, 2020, 03:16:50 PM
I notice the price is not much appealing compare to the past halving and even if it occur we are struggling to climb at $10,000 so imagine if no halving + pandemic provably we will suffer from a huge dump since many people will afraid with the crisis. We see the price slowly moving and maybe we will still experience this until the crisis occur.

Best if we just stick with the current situation since predicting to much might cause us harm if we keep waiting for huge pump.
Honestly I do not want to imagine what would have happened if there was no halving happened this year. At the same time, bitcoin got its own believers who keep on buying at every dips hence even there was no halving bitcoin might have survived like how it has done in last 2 to 3 months of times but I must say we all might have got more panic than how we reacted when bitcoin was dumped below $4k levels in the matter of 2 sessions.
Both of those moments were having its valid reasons behind it of why bitcoin price was dumped. It was related to the real world incidents and also the stock markets all around the world also did the same. The thing is people are having such big dreams regarding the price that can't be true, not even 2 years down the road and still they are predicting the price to be $250k. This should be a long term goal to look forward to, but in the short term we should be hoping for a price of like $20k to $30k at most as this is reliable and also be achievable.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying food or groceries with Bitcoin on: July 19, 2020, 01:21:23 PM
Bitcoin's popularity has been increasing ever since the bull market of 2017 took place. Even with the pandemic, prices have recovered to their original levels (near $10k) in just a matter of months. More people are accepting Bitcoin worldwide, albeit at a slow and steady pace. I've seen many sites out there in the online world which accepts Bitcoin for goods and services. But the number of businesses and merchants accepting it for food or groceries are quite limited. In the physical world, supermarkets and even fast foods haven't even adopted Bitcoin yet. Fiat is still the predominant type of currency in the mainstream world, for buying items that are required for one's survival.

Do you think that in the future it'll be possible to buy food or groceries with Bitcoin? I know that volatility is a huge issue for Bitcoin to be accepted as an alternative to traditional Fiat, but merchants and businesses could quickly convert Bitcoin to a stablecoin minimizing the risk of loss. What are your thoughts? Huh
Nowadays that covid virus keep on spreading anywhere,it will be a good idea if malls and grocery store will accept bitcoin as payment in exchange of physical money because we all know that money is so dirty and very accessibe to viruses.
If They start accepting crypto payments then the currency that would be widely accepted will be Ethereum and not bitcoin because of the time in which the transaction will be completed. As on the shops and in the coffee houses we always want our transaction to be completed quickly to always maintain social distancing. The best method now to transact fast and be safe from COVID is definitely using cards which is the cheapest and most widely accepted method to pay.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: July 18, 2020, 02:49:42 PM
Maybe this news is true, but there is more and more people getting into cryptocurrency usage. Another thing more and more cryptocurrency and blockchain related development is happening within India. In recent days TCS, one of the leading IT service provider have entered the cryptomarket. If the government isn't supportive TCS could've never taken the steps forward. Upon this there is very less chance of cryptocurrencies getting banned in India.
You are absolutely right now India is doing very good in cryptocurrency and just few negative mind peoples creating rumours about this few days back we have announcements from few big exchanges as they are going to invest and opening representative offices in India for better way so I am feeling India could be next big in this technology.
India is having the biggest potential to grow along with the help of blockchain technology as there is a lot of corruption and also India is a developing country so if India starts building their economy along with blockchain then they can do wonders in the future and can become a country that is having blockchain tech in every aspect of its Economy.
Moreover after the recent news of bitcoin related with that twitter account scam/fraud, the mind of the officials will again go negative towards bitcoin who were already opposing the Supreme Court for lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies. The officials should listen to the needs of people and what do they want which they never do and always do what they think is right in their mind.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tron's Justin Sun Offers $1 Million Bounty For Twitter Hackers on: July 18, 2020, 02:13:05 PM
If I were in his shoes, I would rather spend $1 million for charity purposes during this pandemic. In that way, I would respect him even more despite meeting him a few times in person last year in Hongkong and Taiwan.

More people will respect his decision if he donates his money for charity purposes, especially we are still in the Covid-19. He will get more appreciation from the public, and he can also introduce about bitcoin because many people will know and search about him. When people see that he is one of many people behind the crypto world, people will gain enthusiasm to search for more info, and who knows, he can be a trendsetter in the crypto world. We don't know what his reason to do that because I think it is hard to reveal the hackers.
He shouldn't get involved in this matter I guess as witter will look into it and also will be having all the IP logs and other data on them, so Twitter will already be looking into those hackers. This bounty will probably won't go to someone. Moreover Charity sounds right way to help other people with this huge amount of money because the loss that incurred due to hackers isn't that big if you compare it with other data hacks and other scams in the past and Twitter is already having resources to find them on their own.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin soon will become a boring investment? on: July 12, 2020, 02:22:23 PM
I don't know why you're thinking that and I don't think that's likely to happen. The total supply of Bitcoin is a certain amount and its demand is constantly increasing day by day.
Out of this certain amount of bitcoins about 10% or maybe more bitcoins aren't moving at all and that too from the initial days of bitcoin, so it means that these bitcoins won't move at all and thus making the supply even shorter. Bitcoin won't become a bad investment at all not even in the future as well, with more people joining the market the price fluctuations are also increasing as compared to 2014 or early days of bitcoin. Investors are also getting increased day by day with new companies joining the blockchain market and making new products which is increasing the demand of bitcoin even more.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: July 12, 2020, 10:46:00 AM
Well considering the rate at which fiat and paper currencies are disappointing, bitcoin seems a good option, but even bitcoin is affected by price volatility, it would be a perfect fit if it is a stable coin, my opinion though
Governments all around the globe are currently trying to develop their own national digital currency and I guess in the future we will be transacting with these currencies wherever we go. Consider the case of China, in China most of the payments are processed by its own payment processors and mostly the Chinese people use digital methods of payment, they don't even have to type in the password for doing payments, their facial recognition software does its job perfectly. The future will definitely be governed by the digital currencies and bitcoin will also be one of those currencies.

Exactly, many of the government's want to launch their own coin rather than going for other coins which has already listed also many of them give prior to it because they feel like it's a secured one and probably better.

This digital payment system will work all over the globe very soon and I believe in most of the countries they will lift the crypto ban too.

I can't say anything about the crypto ban in different countries as this will be their personal choice whether to lift the ban or keep implementing it and I think that in the future due to the pressure from other countries and the taxes collected by the governments, those countries with a crypto ban in place will surely lift the ban or at least will think about it.
Definitely Yes! In future most of the transactions will be done digitally just like what we see in the science fiction movies it will become a reality and the society will become paperless in terms of using money.
