2121  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 13, 2020, 01:51:17 PM
Bitcoin is strong, but there is hardly any form of assets or stocks that didn’t take a blow from the pandemic, and when I say that I mean bitcoin as well, like 90% of the market was on the red and going down, and bitcoin was doing the same and dropped to $4,000 or less than that. But, what matters most is the ability of bitcoin to recover after the fall when other assets are still struggling to make it up.

The recent times' halving was one thing we all believed will cause an increase, we all looked forward to it this year or next, and a lot of analysis were predicting it. Now PayPal added to the fire. When more than one positive news coincides that will trigger FOMO which must the be final reason for all bull trends Tongue.
2122  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 12, 2020, 04:49:51 PM
Just be positive for once, it’s not going to fail. There are more important issues he should be talking about when he’s in the office, Bitcoin is not a threat.

Although some people are fond of bringing up things like Bitcoin is being used to find terrorism and that’s it’s for money laundering and all that that, but that’s not enough reason to stop Bitcoin, rather we should be looking for means to solve those problems and make bitcoin safer for everyone and also seem less of a threat. So I know or sure that he will have one of those targets to regulate the cryptocurrency environment, but let’s always how for the good and not the bad.
2123  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: November 12, 2020, 03:52:22 PM
Most criminals are not educated as criminals are choosing cash fiat at the top of crypto they like Fiat because they have no idea about crypto

I tend to disagree with this view

Indeed, the top dogs among criminals may have little knowledge about cryptocurrencies and how they work, but they have accomplices and sidekicks that are pretty well versed in virtually anything, from finance to chemistry. Otherwise, drug cartels simply wouldn't exist. So rest assured, if criminals are not using crypto, it is not for the lack of knowledge or anything to that tune. Cash (fiat) is just better as far as large-scale criminal operations are concerned
I agree a little bit here with you because the criminal activities are now moving towards better standards and now kidnapping and such are even done with proper planning like they are well educated of what they are doing and planning it.

The reason I think they do not ask for BTC is because they need cash to pay their team and it would not make sense to ask for BTC and then sell them and distribute so why not directly ask cash. It is more like why criminals do not ask for Gold that is because they are not going to wear jewelry instead their aim is to get cash. I mean you cannot expect a criminal to hodl BTC right? Grin They need money and they need cash so they demand that directly instead of asking for BTC/GOLD and then sell it creating another process.
2124  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: November 11, 2020, 09:23:42 PM
Lots of new events are available to bet on at freebitcoin now. I remember when I first came there was only sports, US elections, and BTC/ETH price events. Now we can bet on things like gold and oil prices and even the winners of a game show whose name I forgot (what was it called again?)

I like the direction we’re going. It makes up for not having a full sportsbook.

The sports I probably always find far better odds at a regular sportsbook so I don't (generally) bet at FBC unless I feel stupid and want to double my winnings quickly (and usually lose).

But I think I like the market prices thing, since that appears to be a better "odds" selection than futures or whatever those other markets are called. I don't think anyone else would have paid out for the 14-15k BTC at 4x, for example.
Well, we do have a "full sportsbook" in the sense that you can bet on plenty of things that sportsbooks have already, we may not have as much as other sportsbooks, it is not as big in numbers but the idea is still a sportsbook idea and works the same.

The biggest difference is the fact that all of these are parimutual betting and you can't find that in many places, certainly not in any place that has this much volume, I remember onehash was the first place to do this for example and they never had any decent volume on their betting and when you have close to zero volume on bets, one person changes the odds way too much and it makes parimutual betting horrible. Freebitco.in never had that problem, they always had awesome amount of wagered amount so it became gigantic.
2125  Economy / Gambling / Re: Piwi247 on: November 10, 2020, 08:38:32 PM
Wonder why the site is piwi247. When I navigate there, I am redirected to piwi88.com
It also says, Powered by pinnacle, what's that? Is that a bookmaker company Pinnacle or how should we view it?

Hello Nasipadang,

Yes, We both own the website www.piwi247.com and www.piwi88.com
so either way should be okay. Yes. We are powered by pinnacle. We follow pinnaclesports markets and odds.
We are in partnership with them.

I hope I have answer your questions. IF you still have, feel free to comment here.

Thank you.

Powered by pinnacle sounded they are the ones who are behind the website but if you are just using their odds that I believe doesn't make it powered by pinnacle but I am not much knowledgeable so I won't make any statements yet. Also like you said you are in partnership with them then fine I believe the you are indeed powered by pinnacle. It's strange how I never saw or heard about this sportsbook because I always am aware about new sportsboks as they arrive in the bitcoin marketplace.

It confused me a little bit too having two different website addresses for the same website, I have never seen that ever before with either fiat based sportsbook/casino neither with crypto based sportsboom or casino.
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are new to crypto this is for you on: November 10, 2020, 04:53:10 PM
If you are a newbie and you want to get involved, first understand why people are here and what makes crypto so special. I understand that many people come to crypto with the idea of "making a lot of money" and that is totally understandable because tons of people made a lot of money from crypto in the past so you want to be like them, hell maybe people around you are making money with some right trades right now and you want to be like them, but you have to first understand the whole idea behind why they exist before you can understand what can go up.

Look at all the things that have gone up in the crypto world for the past 10 years and you will realize one thing common ; they all try to take out traditional financial system, not all of it with one idea, but they are taking it down one by one with each new project, so you have to find stuff that could potentially replace something in traditional finance world.
2127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the new US administration be friendly to bitcoin? on: November 09, 2020, 08:46:34 PM
The election is over, Trump had negative attitude towards bitcoin but what Biden's administration will bring to crypto. The fact that the Fed will continue printing $$ and new stimulus is coming is definitely good for bitcoin.
Never heard that president-elect Biden or someone from his camp made any public statement about bitcoin or crypto-technology, hopefully no tough regulations will be made.
It is too early to assume about how it’s going it be, but whatever it is, there is still going to be progress. Even during the time of Trump as the US president, despite he doesn’t like Bitcoin there were still improvement and US is one of the countries where there is huge advancement for cryptocurrency (especially for BTC). Let’s give this guy sometime and see what he’s going to be like, whether he’s going to like the technology or reject it.

But, as usual we are going to be hoping for what’s the best. I hope they don’t place regulations that will be strict for exchanges. When there is strict regulations and things are tough for exchanges, they will have no other option than to relocate their headquarters.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 09, 2020, 08:13:35 PM
1% chance of your full capital returned
Yes agree but those 1% are mostly people who got into the scheme first and ran away with their first profit rather than investing again.

49.5% chance of your money being taken away
Might be more actually because most of the scams end up pretty soon and the ones that run long offer small profit baits which help them continue for long time. One offering 5% monthly returns is likely to operate longer than one offering 50% daily.

Quote
49.5% chance that you will be blackmailed by reason of liquidity or a promise of your money back, but you actually lose more.
Excellent point and actually some guys send more money to help get back their old money because the website will tell them to deposit a certain amount to buy a particular membership which will then unlock their balance or similar kind of stories and people actually go for it.
2129  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Lamborghini Giveaway! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: November 09, 2020, 06:29:39 PM
What is going on here?

Do you get your history and account information back? Or is this still not solved?
Things like this, should not happen. What if they can not restore it? They should use a decent backup system to solve these things in minutes.

They settled and fix it now.
You just have to refresh  the browser for you to be able to see your updated transaction bets. Yesterday, even notifications isn't working but kinda okay now. They've been updating the site, that is why. But it wasn't lost its just slow in showing the updated bets.

And about that us election voting, I voted for Trump  Sad . Yeah, lose but anyway that's how it went.

Trump hasn't lost, the result it's still pending. Some bookmakers are paying early for Biden but ensured to pay for Trump if when the election has ended is legally certified as the actual winner. To have a winner you need to have the Electoral College to vote and the loser to concede. None of this happened. These are all projections

All compliant bookmakers pay based on legal based win, those who are paying Biden now are doing it discretionary to calm those who are complaining because they see the news. But legally they're not binded to pay those. And most bookmakers put everything on hold because despite what the media says the result is still unknown and highly disputed. The elections hasn't ended officially and ZERO states have certified the win of either one or the other candidate. The result is when EC certifies and/or loser concedes.
Trump fans could try to make it look like "let's do recount!" and "let's get to courts!" all day want, but the result will not change, not from here on out. First of all we are talking about 306 votes and nothing short, even if you can switch just one state you won't get it, hell you can even change 2 states and you won't get it, which means it is already a sure fire thing because we are not getting 3 or more states flipping with recount all of a sudden.

Secondly and most importantly, Trump team has been firing cases left and right all week, they have been trying to get anything to attach, but from mainly conservative judges of supreme court to all state level smaller places, there has been ZERO that got accepted, which means he has ZERO proof that there were fraud.

Yes, I understand they managed to make voters believe there is fraud, but courts saw literally zero proof of that, only talks.
2130  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal to allow cryptocurrency buying, selling and shopping on its network on: November 09, 2020, 05:58:35 PM
There are already some companies that offer this same service so if Paypal wants to be in the highly competitive sector of cryptocurrency then they should find something unique for their users that will add more value to their platform. That won't be a very big deal for a platform like Paypal that already has millions of users.
Actually them adding bitcoins is a huge success already and I don't know which platforms also allow bitcoins which are similar to paypal so maybe you want to name them? Anyways a great news and some amazing adoption for the bitcoin users and some even say the recent bull run was aided to some extent by this move.

That's good idea PayPal they launch a good idea surely makes people happy because they can buy and pay bills trough PayPal. Many people are lazy to bring a cash or wallet and now they can use paypal for paying I love their idea so much.
Mate, we are not discussing about Paypal in general as I know its a great platform but we are here to discuss about their recent move of adding bitcoins to their platform and allowing users to buy and sell bitcoins through paypal.
2131  Economy / Economics / Re: 1000 BTC moved after 10 years on: November 09, 2020, 01:03:20 PM
The strange thing is not the amount of 1000 Bitcoin, but it is strange how the owner of this wallet managed to store this large amount of Bitcoin all these years without selling it, especially when the price of Bitcoin rose to  20,000$ in 2017??!!
I am quote sure someone who has 1k BTC must also have other addresses with small balances and maybe he sold some of the coins from other addresses and kept this one as private during all these times.

This is a really confusing question!!! For example, was he expected to increase the price of bitcoin more ?? Or was he losing the private keys and then managed to find them?
Some people think this wallet is the property of Satoshi himself!!! But no one knows the exact truth.
There can be many theories if we assume the private key was lost, maybe someone accidentally got it? I mean at the end of the day it is a string of alphabets and numbers and while chances are near impossible but one might randomly get it.

I hope the coins moved are for a good reason and not for dumping because someone stored so many coins for such a long time then surely he must be a believer in bitcoins.
2132  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - US Election Madness 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: November 09, 2020, 06:31:17 AM
It is blocked by Indonesian ISP due to the political stance on gambling. It is not new thing here in my country, there are many other gambling sites getting blocked by our ISP. This kind of block depends on your own local government/regulation imo.
Never knew Indonesia was this strict with their people. Blocking crypto gambling sites seems like they are completely anti-crypto which is pretty sad considering that they could gain a lot by regulating cryptocurrencies.

This whole process of using proxies and VPNs to access crypto sites is a big hassle in my opinion. It's best to stick to sites that are allowed instead in order to abide by their T&C and not be deemed suspicious.
It is not just Indonesia, there are many many nations in the world that ban gambling, honestly we are having fun here and we see this as a fun thing but we do see it because it is something we do on our spare times as crypto people and gambling not being as common as you might think in regular life is actually quite good if you ask me.

Right now, right here crypto gambling is cool, maybe state lotteries and all that is good enough too, horse races? Sure why not. But think of a world where everywhere is like Vegas, casinos are as common as cinemas and theaters (not as common as cafes obviously) in that world everyone would constantly go to casinos to have fun and that would eventually lead to troubles.

So, I understand why many nations ban gambling, at decent dozes it is nice but when it becomes national problem, you can't stop it without making it illegal.
2133  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 09, 2020, 05:21:46 AM
I never thought that his bad luck will be coming quickly. That's really hell of a lose for me that was really a very huge loss imagine losing such amount in just a day
Do you think he will quite now on playing here in bustabit?
What was he thinking to start with? I mean I get that he won a lot and that is why he may have felt like he is on the right path to make a lot of money, but to start off with dude already had a lot of money, so he never felt like he "needed" more, he could have stopped and never work a single day in his life and still retire early, so why push things this further? Now his account is gone, he probably stopped after losing so much money, I can't check at where he ended up with at last but we can safely assume that the last known point was him losing a ton of money.

When you are gambling, even if you end up winning a lot of money, because of the house edge you are going to end up losing if you keep going, there is no mathematical scenario where if you keep gambling forever, you keep winning forever, you either gamble and win and leave or you gamble long enough to lose all your money those are two options.
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap has made it easier for scammers? on: November 08, 2020, 09:30:21 PM
There's no way to stop this from happening except warning newbies to be careful about what they invest in. It's very easy to list coins on DEX and dex can't be stopped because it's decentralized. And about reputation, I don't think this will do anything to crypto reputation in my opinion. There's already a warning that they are investing in a risky asset and they should be responsible for it.
I think we can't stop with just newbies, there are tons of people who I know for years now did fall for many scam projects because defi was the big hype. They have joined many staking pools and helped with many liquidity providing and basically all around got involved with many defi projects all because they believed this was the gold rush of our time and they had to take a small piece with them if they can.

Some of them did made some profits but others lost and I can tell you that the amount lost was bigger than the amount won in that situation. So, it is not just newbies that fall for these type of stuff, there are tons of people who have been around for years and seen centralized crypto world and believed decentralized could be the future.
2135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Alts Market already bottomed out? on: November 08, 2020, 08:59:33 PM
Most of them are doing decent weekly, we had a big crash before, then it recovered and increased so much and even though we went down again now we are still up in many of them for weekly returns. That is all you should be looking at, altcoins have made on average 4-5% return in just one week, that is only one week.

Millions of people out there still trying to make this kind of money for yearly returns, banks do not give you 5% returns for a year, you may focus on being a better trader to get 5% returns in stock market, but in reality, there is nothing that makes you 5% profit this quickly. This is why I think it is vitally important that we focus on altcoins not when they are bottomed out, but when they are hyped as well, try to pick real good ones and be very very long on them.
2136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Altcoin still feasible? Profit or loss? on: November 08, 2020, 08:19:22 PM
I feel altcoins are just waiting to break out and reach the peak in short span of time, what's your view? Kindly share your opinions.
Some altcoins are just comertial advertise to attract people to invest and then lose their money, i am not saying it is "scam" thou it is my own opinion because here in my country lots of alt coins are being advertise and in the end they just scammed people that's why they didn't believed on the so called crypto currency.

Second : If you have thoughts in mind to invest to those known and well known altcoins why not try to invest there a big chance to make a profit and also always take a look of the chart for the guidance and not to lose that much. Because as you can see today the prices changing everyday and altcoins go downs sometimes.
Yeah, there are altcoins and then there are altcoins, some of them are awesome and they will become huge in the future, they could potentially make you profit a lot more than bitcoin can and they will keep improving to get better as well then there are ones that are scammy or just plain old bad that will become nothing, they will worth nothing and they will just stop existing after a while, left by the team and just nowhere to be found.

So, if you can find good altcoins that you can trust and could go big in the future they are definitely worth looking at but if you are going to risk your money you are not going to make a big difference and you are going to end up not making any decent profit neither, maybe few lucky ones. Hence altcoins are still feasible only if you invest into good ones.
2137  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold mine at 14100 dammitttt on: November 08, 2020, 05:00:29 PM
$15K seems to be holding off very strong, I don't know if it will break or not, and even if it does it looks like there is no big correction coming up, it is not going to be a crash for sure or at least it looks like that. This tells me, if you still buy in from here, you may lose a bit for a while but in the long run we are still looking strong to go up, maybe we will do it very soon or maybe we will do it very late but it looks like we are going to finally do it and break over $20k in the next 6 months or so, maybe even closer.

People could argue about where to get in and why they sold all day but it wouldn't change the fact that only people who make a profit from bitcoin is the people who buy it and hold it for a long period of time, that will never change.
2138  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 08, 2020, 04:17:27 PM
Think about all the things that can be done to start a new business, earn from home. As for me I believe we have to rely less on the government but more importantly start small businesses, this is the only way that we will be able to go though the pandemic.
I believe this forum is having people from all over the world and what you are suggesting is not applicable for each and everyone which means even I am suffering due to pandemic and all its consequences, I'm not in position to think about starting a new business but I am thinking of making use of bitcoin investments more intensively than my past so that I could make decent profits with upcoming bull run of bitcoin markets.

I guess if you are in position to invest more into bitcoins then this must be the right time to make use of possible lower prices of bitcoin markets. If you keep buying with respect to your available funds then you can definitely get good buying average which will be leading you toward definite profits in the near future.

What is your business idea ? During this pandemic? You think it would work ? Why/why not ?
With respect to my country, it is not that easier to think about anything new just for the reason of pandemic. I always prefer to stick within what I'm doing for years and I believe it must be a good practice not rushing for a new business as it will helps me to get rid of all the associated risks.
2139  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Digital Yuan makes China even more powerful? on: November 07, 2020, 10:12:52 PM
If having a digital currency is what’s going to make a country to become powerful, then I believe that the US would have had their eyes on it for years now that it was being discussed. And having a digital currency won’t even make any much changes apart in the areas of transactions; digital currency will make their transactions easy and possibly cheap, but they won’t be able to send that digital Yuan to other country people because the digital Yuan is still the same Yuan that they have been using but now in a digital form.

If you take bitcoin as an example, it must be a revolutionary thing for people hence people who have adopted it, are finding big changes in their day to day life. Similarly if digital Yuvan will not be bringing bu only a digital format then we cannot assume it will make China more powerful Sad.
2140  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: November 07, 2020, 09:42:59 PM
Southampton is leading because they are one game ahead of everyone right now, I am sure they are going to drop very soon with rest of the games played, but even with that they have started the season amazingly, after that 2 losses, for the past 5 or so games we haven't had a single loss, and 4 wins in last 5 games is something special.

I am not going to lie when I heard about the sponsorship with Southampton I got very happy but when I heard about it with Arsenal I got a lot more excited because "arsenal is a big team" but looking at the standings right now and Southampton which we literally have logos on jerseys is leading while arsenal is at 9th place which we do not even have jersey sponsorship. I guess it is going to be Southampton at the topic name one day huh Cheesy.
