1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer T9 Bitcoin Miner on: August 21, 2018, 01:09:43 PM
I sent a dead T9+ back to Bitmain (USA CA address) and got the notification that they received it.
Does anyone have any experience with the turnaround time for repair / contact back from them?

Thanks,
Dave

i sent T9+ back to hong kong, courier service delivered the faulty miner on 6th Aug 2018, bitmain updated the ticket to "Collected" on 7th Aug 2018 and sent out replacement on 11 Aug 2018, i will say their support team at HK/ Shenzheng are very efficient  Grin Grin

Yep, rebooted twice... same thing.  Opened a support ticket.  First time dealing with support.  Hopefully it doesn’t take too long.  I can’t bear to lose out on my $3 day.  Haha.  Wink

i sent back to hong kong, once bitmain confirmed received the miner, they send out replacement within 1 week Tongue

the good unicorn is the first batch of T9. I have few and since running non stop. 2 of them once made 183 days straight.
So is the T9+ more reliable than S9? It is cheaper per TH for expansion and faster ROI at current prices?

Yeah I think it's the sweet spot for Bitmain in reliability...has less chips for less hash rate, but runs smoother.

Not sure I agree.  Feels more like marketing to me.  Both of my original T9s died within weeks, although their replacements have been stable.

My 4 x T9+  , 2 hash without any problem since delivered, 2 lost half of the hashing power on day one, in fact within 30 minutes after power on Cry  sent one of the T9+ to HK 5 weeks ago and haven't have any update since Angry

How does one know or find out when it is a good time to consolidate transactions?

I've heard others say they can control their cost by having an option or something?

I've been using Exodus wallet and it is a flat fee no matter what -- with no options or control.

Just looking to do one of 2 things, figure out when the best times to consolidate are (via a program or app)?? or get a new wallet of some kind that gives you those options.

Any help or direction in either scenario would be greatly appreciated.

Pecker!

you can use this site to see how long it will take to consolidate  with a given fee. Currently 1 sat/byte will settle in under 1.5 hours!

Hey guys ~ Looking for fellow Malaysian who've been actively trading crypto.

I've been trading since June 2017. So far manage to get back all my capital and still heavily invested in some alts using profits earned.

Let's get in touch if you're actively trading as I'm looking to form a trading community. Kinda bored trading alone on twitter where all the big names are from different region.

trading since 2015 @bittrex/ kraken/bitstamp......any whatsapp group to join Cheesy

In terms of reliability, does the Antminer T9 require less repairs than the S9?

Don't know about T9, i just received 4 x T9+ - 10.5th on 11 jun 2018, 2 x T9+ running flawlessly but 1 of them lost 5 chains out of 9 chains in an hour Cry Cry  i sent it back to hong kong the next day.

Another one lost 1 chain upon first run, re-boot few time still the same, and lost another chain on the next day Angry  decided to run it until bitmain return the 1st one then i will sent this 2nd unit back to them.

so, T9+ may not = T9

I had temp issues recently also..-

-35 Celsius outside and my 14x S9's struggled to keep the workshop above 40 Farenheight...some temps of units near floor level were down to low 40's also...fans down to <2500 RPM on many units.
Awesome miner on average reports temps much  higher than miner itself...

I mine in -30C.  I restrict my fan intake by about 30% to allow the boards to get warm, and I boot them while warming them with a hair-dryer.  I use aluminum duct tape, but you could use anything that won't accidentally get sucked in.

Any thoughts on dealing with the 30C summer highs?

not a issue, fans run at full speed and you need to throw the hot air outside the mining room

……sold it for a pretty good profit at the middle before it went down. These long term waves happen on almost every Alt-Coin, almost every one. There are also a lot that never move and are usually delisted after a time.

For trading I would suggest to discuss @ other board or https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=649649

........

I consolidate 1 time a month pay 75 sats and use viabtc.com  so  if I have 60 payouts from kano

it is 60 x 0.004 = 0.24 btc from him  and the tx fees are 0.010125   if I pay 0.00000075 a byte

I don't feel it since the other mining income is about .75  and only 50 payouts so

say 1 btc a month and 0.019 in tx id fees

https://blockchain.info/address/16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr

worst part is using viabtc.com and spending an hour or more to get it in.

hehe... found that today's transaction fee is low enough (blockchain regular fees) and i consolidate those tiny mining payouts, the transaction confirmed after 54 minutes with just 25 sat/ byte Grin Grin

I'm new to mining I only bought one 11ghs it go's up to 20ghsmax gekkosience thumb drive to test and see if i want to invest more. so is a dust payment a low payment for small little miners like at this hash rate? And do i have to wait till a good enough payment amount on this pool to get payments to my wallet if so what is it like 0.01? The way this pool sounds is very straight forward and legit so i would love learn more.
I read the payment method page about the 5Nd and it sounds like a real cool way. But being someone who only has 11ghs-20ghs to put in is there a way it adds up over a month into a payment. I geuss how would it work with a low btc share in the pool?

Try this calculator … http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php

And remember to convert your Ghs to Ths Roll Eyes
