Thats the point, lining us all up for the long con.

Clearly this guy knows what he's talking about...
242  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: You're using too much thermal paste! on: September 25, 2012, 08:28:07 PM
If we are talking about bfl asic cooling design, best to just use copper rather than worry about paste too much? (I know it's pricey) Shin etsu ftw.

Also, vote spring hsf design. Nuts and bolts are not a long term 24/7 solution (although they sound like one).
243  Other / Off-topic / Re: "Frist Look at BFL's ASIC Hardware" on: September 25, 2012, 07:20:07 PM
Looks good so far. There are a couple chips hanging off the end and colliding though.

Better cooling if the chip is suspended in mid air.
Pretty early design, I hope.

Sorry maybe I am being a bit dumb here.
Are you saying that ASIC ROI would be better than that?

Just quote it

So, that is the mini rig then, not Asic.

Sceptical not of the claim, but the fact they said that about Asic. It would be shooting themselves in the foot.

" I have been told by BFL that we could anticipate a return on investment in approx. 8 months. "

Who from butterfly labs said that about Asic and can you quote then? I find it hard to believe.

Care to quote the Bfl 8 month roi that you were given?

I've resold units to people here on the forums & think I've developed a decent reputation, but that's for the community to decide.

You also sold your sig space to them Wink.

So y-dog?

Was this successful?

As a customer of course I have a right to know what I buy.

You aren't a customer, you are a potential one.
I'm sure you will buy something when you are woo'ed

Anyone want to buy what I am holding behind my back? Addy in sig.

... credible, verifiable individuals to be flown here to KC sometime ...

Why not contact people from e.g. tomshardware.com, wired.com or computerbase.de? Or from c't (very reputable German computer magazine, always keen to test/experiment with new hardware gimmicks).

Yeah, just give tomshardware money and they will say anything.

It's all over the net, I don't think he's hiding one little bit.

    • I am a BFL customer (Minirig hosted by Inaba + SC preorder).

That counts you out in my books.
I am curious why.  I have a vested interest in discovering the truth about BFL.  If it is a scam, then I would get authorities involved immediately.  If I found out it was a scam and tried to sell my preorder, then everyone would immediately become suspicious.

That type of connection is quite close, and is a scab to be picked.

To most BFL purchasers that is a big investment in BFL, and being hosted by BFL makes you even closer.
Need someone critical, not connected. Nothing more than a BitForce single purchaser if at all.

I can't speak for them, but I'm sure they want someone that removes any doubt in people's(bitcointalk) minds. Otherwise the exercise is a pointless waste of money.[/list]

Also, I think Gigavps might be interested in visiting. I know he's been a big BFL customer for quiet some time.

      ^ lol

I want someone actively skeptical of BFL, but not to the point of insanity (or ass kissing). Reeses would be awesome, but I don't think Josh would do that.
