Keep up great work man, I would love to see this on websites / ATMs / HW payment terminals etc. if this could really enable people to pay with any coin they want. But honestly I think first step should be to adopt Bitcoin itself in real world.. and then let people decide which crypto coin is "the right one".. concurrency is a good thing imho

I think the name is very bad for the original Bitcoin. Investors shall be confused with more Bitcoin coins and there will be less investments. Local stores are going to think "what a mess" and consumers are not adopting because there is no "clear simple story" to tell.
The next coin can be named
- Bitcoin Alt
- Bitcoin Crypt
- Bitcrypt Coin
- Bitcoin Cash
and so on. You made it a mess in the hope to fill your own pockets....
Even before the BTC is adopted worldwide by local stores and consumers, you are allready seeding confusion in a bad way.
Very very bad. And remember, till so far, only the BTC (and on some sites, LTC) is the "way out" to dollars or euro's.
This "way out" is as we speak the only reason that people in the street will adopt BTC as value.
So when you disadvantage the original BTC, you disadvantage yourself, your adopters, and your miners.
Bitcoin-scrypt shall never be accepted at your local stores and because of the name, you are delaying the needed adoption of the real BTC.
That adoption is needed to raise the value of the BTC, and in that way, all the other coins. The choice of this name brings damage to the whole process.

Exactly!!! I wish more people can see the situation around altcoins this way.. We should definitely focus on adoption of original "Satoshi Nakamoto's" Bitcoin! Looking to the future (ethereum etc.) is a good thing, but trying to replicate "BTC boom" is imho nonsense.. We? Who is "we" and why should "we" do what you say?  Bitcoin is currently in the hands of big companies with even larger data centers, filled with ASIC's, oil cooled. Bitcoin sCrypt can be hardforked to any ASIC proof algo that's available, that won't happen to BTC or LTC. We, "the crypto fans" = miners, traders, coders, supporters.. I don't say that altcoins are worthless, but I really want to see crypto adopted as alternative for current payments (visa/mastercard..) around the world. I always hoped that with BTC I will be able to pay everywhere (without exchanging to local currency/altcoin) with ONE wallet, that's all. Another thing is that if someone want to have altcoin wallet, that's perfectly fine, but if he trade his BTCs for it and then his chosen altcoin loose its value, it could hurt trust in Bitcoin itself. All I want is one strong crypto community with same goal = to fight fiat, to prove that banks are not needed in the future.. One more thing: Most people really don't care about technical aspects. |

Another thing is pbmining.com, someone posted it here so I decided to try it out.. I know that they are on ebay, but it still seems "too good to be true" to me. I hope their plan is not to "catch" as many naive customers as possible, pay everyone once a week until they earn enough BTCs by contracts and then simply disappear.. I wish I was wrong, but you know, cheap hash rate for 5 years? Is there evidence they are actually mining? Is someone in touch with them? I asked them many questions by email ( admin@pbmining.com) but there are NO answers (exactly like it was with minershare.net) I don't want to give up mining but i don't have BTCs to buy some (good) ASIC hardware (because of minershare.net, bitcash.cz..) Saddiest thing is that every single mBTC which I mined (with my old Avalon Hexminers and USB block erupters) and tried to reinvest was stolen from me.. |

So I guess it's over.. Can someone at least post (everything) what was found during investigation about scammer himself? Maybe this could prevent future scam attempts, maybe not..

Zdravim cesku bitcoin komunitu  Studujem IT takze ma kryptomeny zaujimaju hlavne z technickeho hladiska, dal som sa ale aj na mining.. Kazdeho kto rozmysla investovat chcem varovat, ze je to kazdopadne risk a nikdy neinvestujte viac ako mozete stratit.. Sam som naletel scammerovi minershare.net ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=426116.0 a prisiel som o 0.9 BTC, teraz uz mi je jasne, ze sa ponukam, ktore su "too good to be true" treba jednoznacne vyhnut. Nechapem, ze som si stranku do ktorej som investoval neoveril, nezistil nejake info z ineho zdroja, nepreklepol hodnovernost hostingu a pod. Scammer dokonca ponukol foto svojho obcianskeho preukazu, do urciteho okamihu pomerne rozumne odpovedal na maily, robil vsetko tak aby vyzeral hodnoverne.. Ponuka co mal na stranke sa rychlo vypredavala tak som nevahal (a radsej som teda mal). Takuto chybu uz nikdy neurobim. Rozdelte investicie do viacerych webo-v / typov minerov a hlavne vytvorte si tzv. "cold storage" kde si mozete posielat BTC, ktore budete casom povazovat za zisk (tzn. nebudete z penazenky nic vyberat, ulozite si len jej verejnu adresu..) Vytvorte si BTC penazenku na pocitaci, ktory nikdy nepripojite do internetu (taky pocitac ale dnes uz nema zmysel takze vytvore penazenku offline a nasledne vsetko riadne sformatujte a preinstalujte OS) a vytvorte zopar zaloh na usb kluce (pripadne to chce aj papierovu zalohu QR kodu s privatnym klucom..) Toto vsetko sa moze o par rokov ukazat ako klucove. Na ostatne ucely kludne pouzite blockchain.info + prihlasovanie pomocou sms / google authenticator. Ak mate moznost kupit zelezo, ktore vam RYCHLO dodaju za rozumnu cenu, kupte rovno viac kusov. Moze sa totiz stat, ze sa nejaky miner pokazy (odisli/zhoreli mi uz 3 kusy..) pripadne zopar rovno predajte - nebudete musite cakat kym vam nejake BTC vytazi a mozete znova rychlo investovat.. Potom su tu sluzby, ktore tazia za vas, urcite poznate cex.io (aktualna cena za GH/s je ~0.023) tu je vyhoda, ze mozete GH/s v pripade potreby vymenit naspat za BTC co je asi najvacsia vyhoda cex.io. Nemusite riesit co s pokazenymi kusmi/ cenu elektriny a pod. Dalej je tu pomerne nova sluzba pbmining, ktora sa ukazala ako hodnoverna (clovek za nim predava minere na ebay) rozhodol sa cast svojich GH/s predavat ludom, pretoze zistil, ze tak sa mu investicia vracia takmer okamzite ako minere rozbeha.. Plati sa raz za tyzden, tuto nedelu mi prisla prva platba (po skusenosti so scammerom som na zaciatok kupil len 3 GH/s takze mi prislo len 0.002 BTC, ale na zaciatok lepsie ako nic). @dawn Exactly! I've learnt my lesson too and I am quite sure he will be forced to learn his own as well.. one day, it's just a matter of time..
And what about the NSA? They collect every single piece of data from the internet, their database of scammers is huge for sure, why they can't help us? It shouldn't be hard for them to find him.. I think that they just don't care about bitcoin in general.. If only there was some philanthropist hacker who know how to find him, and (if legal actions fail) simply steal our BTCs back.. Or meet him face to face and.............
I know that this is so naive, but I am just a college student who hoped that mining will help me to decrease my debts.. Right now I'm mining BTC @ 20GH/s with old avalon ASICs so this isn't start that I hoped for.. I am ashamed and depressed but I think that crypto is THE FUTURE no matter what..
P.S. Did anyone have skype conversation with him? If only it was recorded because a friend told me that it could help a lot..
