Your things are good to read but I am not sure all these are common among gamblers as some superstitions are unique and I guess you must be enjoying your gambling along with "these tricks" being followed. I do call superstitions as "personal trick" to trigger our luck factor. Fortunately or unfortunately I have lots superstitions but my luck also not getting triggered everyday, it means I guess I need to follow some set of superstitions for particular day. Very happy what you said. But sometimes I get confused, Why do people have so many problems with the results obtained, compared to our actions. Even though everyone who wants to do good, even if it is the result of gambling or other things that are not allowed. But their goals are actually good, even though this is not a problem. There were even people who do really love to donate by any means.Just like on what we do see on some movies that they do even commit illegal stuff but their motive is to donate into those charities or just simply like to help people who are in need. Just like robinhood casual stuff style of helping but not literally the same but the motive i was mentioning. Gambling profits being donated doesnt really mean bad at all. This quickly cascades into a bigger issue if you have a family to support and obligations to meet every week.
With cigar addiction, you will only realize its harmful effects to your body at a certain time and age. People do not quickly get cancer by just smoking a few sticks of cigar but it is a collective action and continuous use that will eventually lead to that.
In the end people keep doing it even though it's bad for the long and short term. But most people are more addicted to gambling than cigars, because there are people who don't smoke but play gambling. For me, I prefer cigar addiction to gambling. Because gambling is very bad, because as you say. We lose a lot of time, money or other things that result in large losses to gambling addiction. |
