^^ POD is rubbish. You may aswell give your info to some random stranger on the street because it's basically the same thing. I'm pretty comfortable with regular updates on development and socializing with the community as a general rule. I mean lets face it, the community is invested in this coin or any coin by means of mining (unless the coin isn't mineable), not CryptoAsian or whoever that offers such an unnecessary service. Currently the nethash rate is over 10GH which means a fair few people are mining this coin because they think it'll be worth something. Lets confirm their assumptions and just keep developing the coin at whatever pace is required to achieve the end goal.... which is torrent's on the blockchain

The fact there is no ICO/IPO/CRAP/GAY/RETARDED money grabbing on VTR is a big plus in my books and lots of others... I think if a developer is keen on his/her project then you don't need any funding from outside sources cause development of anything takes time even if you're rich and can afford tonnes of BTC to pay others to develop your project very quickly. There will always be community members willing to help develop anything that is asked of them if they can, it could just take a little longer than planned but this is also why we have Github and various other community driven services to help each other out.

Lets not forget Bitcoin took 3yrs before it exploded into what it is today but that doesn't mean any coin after BTC will be the same. It's merely a benchmark for what a coin can achieve given enough development and interest is thrown at it and the dev just doesn't give up and move on. Of course things could escalate quicker if some amazing new feature was introduced that no one else has but either way, those seeking a quick buck need to move on because as with any investment it takes time to mature given the amount of development and community assistance thrown at it.

Anyway that's my 2 VTR worth of rambling opinion, the main thing is POD is rubbish and if you want to stay Anon then so be it, that's perfectly OK (least with me). Just keep updating on what's going on, any issues and things like that which the community aught to know.

TLDR; If you want to make some money, keep mining and sell your stakes. The more you mine, the bigger stakes you get... I'm still surprised how often I'm getting them just on 25k worth of VTR. It's not much but the regularity of them is appealing.

Yes it was good surprisingly. I got a SodaStream kit, tonnes of chocolate/lollies, some biscuits and a couple of shirts. The more I plead for no presents, the more I seem to get. It's a loosing battle

Well Rome wasn't built in a day... The coin's most promising feature isn't ready yet so I'd imagine the price is where it's at because of this. I love how quick stakes are appearing tho, I'm not used to this kind of quick staking but I'll take it nonetheless

Is it just me or are others on the lifeforce pool getting insane amounts of "You last logged in from *****" notifications. I'm logged in and keep getting pages worth of these notifications when i click various stats of the pool. It's just a little inconvenient to be clicking the X to close them off like 50+ times every few minutes :\

not to be a sour puss or anything and it's great that there is such loyal support for PND, but despite my having a large stake in pnd since launch day i've maintained investments across the board. it's not always a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket and this is something the dev's have mentioned at times aswell. you don't get that from many other coin devs, basically saying don't just invest in our coin but go for max profits all round and if you so wish use those profits to reinvest more into pnd or w/e you choose. at least that's what i'd like to believe they mean when they say things like "you spend as much as you can afford to lose."

even better if you're a miner and merge mining coins like i tend to do. mine one coin, dump the other and convert for more pnd or w/e ...it doesn't really matter how you go about it as long as it works for you

It means someone on the network beat you in creating the next block so your stake became invalid. This is not a bug, don't worry you'll still get 2.5% annually. Staking is like a race, you win some and you lose some but at the end of the day year, you'll still get 2.5% interest on coins staked.

Bit of everything would be awesome. Like consumables, groceries and the like. Not just material things, electronics, services, etc etc. Either way I'm really dying to see what they unveil.

For the record, I can confirm that my wallet is in Hybrid mode. I do not use the installer, I use the standalone windows binaries. It has been staking this whole time and will continue to stake for as long as I have my wallet open. I'd like to also mention that I include in my config txindex=1, because of habit mainly. I don't know if this makes a difference to anything or not but just thought I'd put that out there for added info on my situation.

Seriously tho if the coin is that much a problem for people, instead of FUDing up the thread, how about you move onto the coin of your choice. At the end of the day, no one is forcing anyone onto the coin, no one is holding a gun to their heads and demanding them to use the coin... Do something constructive with your time instead of wasting it here achieving absolutely nothing or are people's lives that dull and bland that they have nothing else to do except be trolls. Such an exciting life they must lead if this is the case...

One final note, I wouldn't advise storing all your coins or any large number of coins on an exchange. This is single handedly the biggest mistake you could make next to not backing up your wallet ofcourse Do we not remember all the exchanges that had problems with hacking and scamming people ultimately losing their coins? A little thought goes a long way... be smart, never go full retard.

My A2 Terminator 88MH has been working fine for a few months tho yesterday, I noticed one of the boards wasn't being detected. Over the course of the night, another two of the 6 board stopped working/being detected. I opened up the miner and can only see the LED's of 3 out of the 6 boards that are on. One board occasionally lights up 1/2 the LED's but then they turn off again - LED's weren't turning on at all before i started pushing on the cables on the controller/daughter board (I don't know the name of this board near the PSU). There appears to be no signs of short anywhere but I have not removed the boards to inspect them further. When I view CGMiner output, I can see it's detecting 3 of the boards but for the other 3 boards there is some RESET ACK error. The unit still mines but at less than 1/2 the speed. I'm using a scripta image on the rPi and tried changing to the stock innosilicon image but this didn't help the issue...

I'm lost at how to troubleshoot the error but I think maybe the controller/daughter board might be faulty because as mentioned when I was fiddling with the cables making sure they're seated correctly, one of the boards's LED's half turned on but then turn off again and this repeats over and over.

I don't know what to try next to see what the issue is...

Exactly he's a trader, not a peer support person yet people are sitting on their hands and crying about it... He also mentioned the community to help out numerous times but all i'm seeing is random posts asking "wheres whalepanda??" "the price is dropping, he said he'd hold it wtfzor" etc etc. He does have a life outside crypto, least i'm inclined to believe that. I get emotional when i see posts that lead me to believe that people want things but aren't prepared to put some work into it.

My post is expressing my discontent over the amount of whining going on and it's not just in this thread, this entire site is littered with it. I am a large holder of PND (you guys should know this as i've posted images on here and IRC showing my stakes along side my balances) and despite the rollercoaster ride we've seen in price many times, i've always held the belief that it'll return to normal soon enough. So far it seems to have been the case.

For the record i've mined coins from the very beginning and bought coins as soon as they were available on exchanges. I have given away millions and support PND 100% out of my own pocket, I don't ask for handouts and i certainly don't complain to any one person making them feel like shit for not offering more support as alot of these posts tend to do. I started the first block explorer (2 infact!) for the coin, i run the paperwallet site, i run a DNS node to help clients connect to other peers easier, offer irc channel stats and ran a pool back when POW was still in effect. i do a hell of alot compared to most here... To this day, i still buy coins and mine them simultaneously. I have taken the liberty of ordering stickers to plaster around wherever i may go and they're currently in transit so hopefully soon i can start covering toilet cisterns, telegraph poles and things throughout my workplace as well as many many other areas so there's that.... I'm not expecting people need to do everything i do, far from it but i do expect them to do something other than complain on here that someone isn't holding their hand.

Now in saying all that, my OP was not directed at you personally Maurizio, more towards the general community. Infact, i consider you one of the few members of the community where you're actually doing something in support of the coin. So don't think i'm having a dig at you

If your CC company doesn't have measures to prevent such attacks then I think it's time to change credit providers. I bought a zen cloud miner using my CC a little while back... the charge was immediately blocked and my card frozen with a nice SMS from the bank telling me they thought this transaction was suspicious and have blocked my card. It was only $40 at the time so i wasn't too worried about lost funds or anything like that... This was @ 1 in the morning, i had to ring the bank up and explain that the charge was indeed initiated by me and ok to process. This wasn't a contactless payment however, it demonstrates that the CC provider is on the ball.

I'm still very anal about my CC's, Cryptos, anything money related as we all should be. It feels like we're more and more heading towards a society that wants their hands held for everything they do. Pretty soon we'll be holding each others penises while we take a leak or wiping each others arses after we've taken a dump.
