You cannot carry fiat over amounts ranging from US$10,000 to $20,000 through most airports in the world without declaring it. Btc makes that a complete non issue.

Easy. Convert them to 100 dollar US$ bills first.

I use a Harry Potter wand that I purchased at Universal Studios Japan.
Seriously though, anyone who has a reliable way to make money (or create or accept bitcoins) is not going to share it with the world until they were nice and full.

Taking profit helps sleep and reduces stress. Travel, stay in a better hotel than usual, fly business or first, life is for enjoying, not just for watching the numbers change on the screen.
Someone took profit buying 2 pizzas with 10,000 Bitcoin. I doubt he sleeps well and has less stress. In his defense I have to say those pizzas look yummy. I think 'could have been' type stress is not nearly as destructive as the 'I might lose all or a good portion of my assets' type stress that a lot of bitcoin (and stock, bond, forex, etc.) traders are doing to themselves. For myself, I should say that taking profits means holding 80 cents, selling 20, putting 15 into another play, and just playing with 5. Another rule for me is, no margin trading, in fact no debt whatsoever.... that helps for a good night's sleep as well.

That's if you aren't too greedy in the first place and know how to take profits. The problem with greedy investors is they are always waiting for more to come and get hyped every time their investment gains value, but since they can't stop it inevitably leads to a loss. They are on a path to self destruction. Totally agree.

Now that is an example of gambling if I ever heard one.
I wouldn't do it, but hey, to each his/her own.

What it means is that the #2, 3, and 4 coins will become more and more transactional until they become investment grade. The market is a wonderful thing.

The 'safest' plays would be to go in order of popularity according to total market capitalization unless you have inside information (just like the stock market).

There are so many other boats still in port. No need to be sad about not buying into the btc boat at $12.

Late but it's okay. It's also too late to invest in Google or Apple, but it's okay. Opportunity knocks when you don't expect it.

Probably not a huge indicator. Bitcoins is probably searched for more than oxygen or cheeseburgers too.

Yes, I use multiple air gapped offline wallets, however, it's curious that there is no serious competition to Blockchain.info Web wallets are useful for some situations where you don't want your real wallets anywhere near you.

They are clearly the market leaders in terms of online btc wallet. What are the alternatives?

Exactly. A newborn today... there is no idea what tech will be like in 20 years.

To keep it real, let's say you have 100 million USD (cashiers check, cash, gold, whatever your pleasure) behind door A and a Trezor with 4,150 btc behind door B. The btc will likely be worth more than 120 million next month and quite possibly 300+ million in a few years.... but I would bet that very few people here would choose door B.

I'd bet that any of these people who are negging crypto have more bitcoin holdings than any one person on this forum. When you have that kind of capital, it's nothing to have a few million in long shots such as these, even long shots you don't think will make it.

Depends on the person but crypto only takes about an hour of my time per day. It's no different than keeping an eye on one's stock portfolio.

It also means you can wake up in a hole as well. Go to sleep at $19,500 and wake up at $14,000 for example.
