61  Economy / Lending / Re: [0% REPAID] NASTY MINING: Monarch Upgrade Loan Request on: December 06, 2013, 12:58:10 AM
Probably a little late me responding here - but I'll attest to reaching an agreement with Nasty to settle the outstanding debt obligation and I'm happy with the arrangement we came to.   Despite what detractors will say, Nasty is a stand up person to do business with, and I've had no complaints.

If we switch to 50 or 75% won't that put the weekly seat distribution pretty close to the dust level (obviously depending on how many seats one owns)? If so maybe we should consider switching to a bi-weekly or more payout schedule.

Good point - if we move to a vote to raise the percentage and it's passed this should go up for a poll vote as well, if anything should save us some on the transaction fees.
64  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: November 20, 2013, 02:11:21 AM
Voted my seats for 75%, and here's why - while paying off debt is a priority, I think it also speaks to long term viability of this operation, it's certainly ideal to get bigger payments now, but if we're reinvesting more over the long term it should help us in growing our operation and get us longer term sustainable profits.  I think going with loans right now was exactly what was needed to position us for the next generation of ASICs, but putting ourselves in a position to not need loans (but still have it as a funding option) for the next generation should help all seat holders in the longer term.

To keep me distracted from the big swings in price - any updates on the 1 ounce coins?   Grin

Kidding aside though - I hadn't heard about that - really cool way to use QR codes though :-)

Also - thanks to whoever sold me seats at .1 - appreciate your generosity  Wink

In the past I receive requests to offer similar environment for other mining operations. None proved serious.

nastyfans is fun for me. Over the last year I receive many nice communication with members. I enjoy being part of this community and it is fun to help. We are together now almost a year and most original fanclub members are fanclub members today also. I am happy to helped make that happen and showing support for NASTY MINING.

You sir - rock! You're an incredible asset to NastyFans and we're lucky to have you!! Thank you again, it's been a great run so far, and I'm looking forward to the great times ahead!

I'm sorry.
Above all for the people on the list, cause you're probably pondering whether to quit now or on next (bigger?) scam attempt.
And obviously, best bet is that you're going off now, another round would be too risky, now.

Or you can bet on me being just a troll, and harvest even more on the next, last loan. Smiley

All red, still? Undecided

Well no complaints here - Nasty had another loan before this to fund a mini rig (that is currently in the process of being paid back with some greens) and then opened this loan to fund some additional monarchs.  Once we get the monarchs and the first loan gets repaid I'm sure we'll get repaid shortly after.  I've never had a complaint about the way Nasty operates, and he's had plenty of opportunities to mess things up and he hasn't - so why would he start now?

I'd agree with putting it up for a vote, but my thought would be to exchange them for bitcoins and apply them toward a share buy back.   Then hopefully for our next round of hardware fundraising we could issue them out again hopefully at a considerable profit.  In the interim it'll help break up the current wall at .15 btc

thoughts on the seat price going down? Is it scarce trust in the decision to get more invested in BFL?

I'm thinking it has to do with some uncertainty about how this next round of ASICs will go, along with some investors that are more interested in short term gains are looking elsewhere for a quicker return.  Personally, I'm here for the long term opportunity, the number of seats is limited, and the management here has always been upfront and transparent.  I'm eager to see what the next year will bring, and due to the lower seat prices, I just picked up several more to help my holdings - thanks to the person who sold them to me  Grin

So I just got my erupters in.  Do i put the BRG miner to nastyfans.org:9332?  I still get payouts when i use my address right?  This is not just donated but im still helping correct?

Correct - if you use your address as your login and password you'll receive it - as an additional check - go to http://p2pool.info and you should see your address after some time running.

I don't believe that is correct. We are using modified software and the payout system is not yet in place. If you point a miner at the NastyFans.org pool, you will be donating your hashing power at this time.

I was testing it out yesterday and believed it worked for me although I could have been mistaken.  I did see my login showing up on p2pool.info with an approximate speed.   I noticed that cgminer was acting funny on me though and would crash my system after 10-15 minutes this morning so I switched back to bit minter until I figure out what the cause of the system stability problems are.

Sorry to "dredge" up the P2Pool thing again - so I've logged in the nastypool to donate, to get it so I'm getting paid, I just change the user to my bitcoin address correct (and password doesn't matter)?  I don't have a huge amount of power but happy to help along with making the P2Pool stronger  Grin (especially if I don't have to do the config on it)

I was able to answer my own question, here's another 32 GH/s to the P2Pool!
77  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | ASIC + Scrypt BTC/NVC/LTC/NMC/IXC/DVC on: August 22, 2013, 02:19:28 AM
hehe...ya...my little 3.5 Gh/s doesn't put much of a dent in anything at p2pool Sad

Well, you have .5 Gh/s more than me!  Hence asking how much "enough power" was to make a difference at p2pool...

Thought I was up to the challenge of getting on P2Pool but after an hour of trying to configure it and getting nowhere I gave up  Huh, sorry guys :-(

As a customer of BFL, I like many can attest to the emotional roller-coaster we went through with this first generation of ASIC miners.  For this first generation (ASICs), Nasty Mining was at the top of the order list, so we received our singles once BFL started shipping.   This loan is to support putting us in a similar position once these start shipping.   I don't personally see BFL as a ponzi scheme, because while they took an exceedingly long amount of time to deliver, they have delivered mining equipment superior to their competition from an efficiency perspective, as well as aesthetic.  While they effectively showed up last to the party this generation, I have some confidence that they're better situated now to scale up than they were previously, I'm also thinking as it appears they're going with a single product that is more expensive, it should cut down on the number of orders and make a production ramp up easier to do rather than supporting three different products as they are now.   On a final note, I've been a seat holder with Nasty Mining since last year, and it's been a pleasure to be a part of the Nasty Mining community, I'm happy to do whatever I can to support it, as ultimately it'll come back in the way of donations and higher seat prices  Grin

Now that BFL has moved beyond day 1 60GH/s ASIC orders, I have unplugged 3 more of our FPGAs to send back to BFL to be upgraded.  This hopefully results in us adding some more hashing power soon.

Glad to hear it!  Eager to see more and more hashing power per seat  Grin
