These two weeks are too long. Still two days to go?  Grin
Everything will be fine. Good things take time. Even if it takes more than two weeks, it wouldn't be bad. The whole counting takes time and everyone wants it to be correct. So they have all the time in the world. Nobody is angry if it takes longer.  Wink Cheesy
502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: January 29, 2023, 12:06:40 PM
-snip-
I was expecting a bull trap when we went from 17k to 22k in just 2-3 days. Currently, however, it looks very stable and I don't see why we will fall below 20-21k yet.
According to a Reuters report, the Fed sees an end to constant rate hikes because inflation has slowed sharply. An end, if one can speak of it, is expected in March.
If that really is the case, a lot of capital will flow back into other areas - including cryptos.

Therefore, I do not see a price drop for the time being.
Yes, at first I also expected a bull trap, but luckily this has not happened so far. Your thoughts and information are very good. It would be nice if that were to happen. Either way, I remain suspicious. The year is still long and I don't expect a real bull run before the next halving. But I can also be wrong. The next few months will certainly remain exciting.  Smiley

Right, that's what I thought. So how is he active today? Wasn't he banned a month ago? At least that's what I understood, but maybe I'm wrong.
I think when he logs into his account, it shows as active. But that doesn't mean he can do anything. I don't think that means more. You can still log in even if the account is banned.
But maybe someone else can comment on that.  Smiley

As far as I know, you can still log in, but you can't do anything else. I've seen a thread about this before, but can't find it right now. Either way, I can confirm the account is still banned.  Smiley

508  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: January 28, 2023, 02:48:49 PM

I also believe that history will repeat itself, bull season comes only when the halving takes place. What is happening in the market is a surprise, and the uptrend shows no signs of stopping, but I think this is just a short term pump during bear season, it's like a small price drop during a bull season. It is difficult to know how long this pump will last, but we shouldn't be too surprised if bitcoin suddenly drops back, as we are still in bear season.
The current development of the price is really surprising. Nevertheless, I also assume that the price will fall again in the course of the year. But that wouldn't come as a surprise to me. Rather, I would be surprised if the price continues to rise and we see a bull run ahead of the halving. That would also be new in any case and would show that bitcoin is really unpredictable.  Smiley
509  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: January 28, 2023, 11:52:47 AM
I'm just concentrating on the good news and I'm glad you're feeling better. Certainly not all problems have been solved yet, but at least your heart is doing a little better and you don't need a heart surgery for now. Hopefully it stays that way for a long time. I keep my fingers crossed for you.  Smiley
510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: January 27, 2023, 11:32:25 PM
Bull run only really happen after the halving and we are still over 400 days away from the halving, so I doubt a bull run will happen this year. -snip-
I think the same too. So far it doesn't look like a bull run to me but rather that after all the bad events like the FTX collapse the price just bounced back from it. Since the next halving is still a long way off, I don't expect a bull run. Can't remember there being a bull run before a halving. Rather, I assume that this will only come after the halving.  Smiley
511  Economy / Services / Re: Utopia P2P Ecosystem 💎 | Review Campaign 🔎| Participate Now! on: January 27, 2023, 05:56:35 PM
Got the 5 CRP (thanks) and tested the Utopia client.  Smiley

  • When installing, I cannot select a different drive for the installation in the menu. I have to enter this manually. It works, but I was a bit irritated that I couldn't do it with a click.
  • I use the Utopia client in german and I have to say that the translation is very good.
  • When you open it for the first time, the wallet looks very clear, but at first you are a bit overwhelmed by all the possibilities that this client (wallet) offers.
  • Downloading the blockchain was very quick. Apparently I was already in sync after about 15 minutes.
  • In itself, the scope of the ecosystem is very impressive. There's email, gaming, file sharing, a browser, messenger and even voice messenger and more. In itself it really offers everything you need.
  • First I looked at the channels and found a channel with free uVouchers. I think that's very good. So you are not required to buy CRP first to test the functions.
  • After that I wanted to learn more about the functions of the client and opened the "Official How-To". Unfortunately, this is not available in german. Although I use the client in german, the how-to is in english. This should perhaps be revised in the future. Either way, a lot is explained there and you can find answers to many questions.
  • On uWallet, I saw that the client supports CRP and UUSD, Utopia's stablecoin.
  • I created three uVouchers with 0.125 CRP each and are giving away two here:
Code:
UTP-PKJU-F5GS-Y7EB-N4WO-XMLS
UTP-WMAJ-NK64-3HUR-D2FO-Q5BR
  • I gave away the third uVoucher in a channel.

  • The uVouchers were redeemed and everything worked very well. (Thanks albon)

Suggestions:
  • I particularly like the option to play poker. It's just a pity that there are no free rolls offered where you can also win CRP and where everyone can participate. This would create an additional incentive to use the poker feature.
  • You could offer a slot machine where you play for CRP. This could perhaps in turn appeal to new users, especially those from the gambling sector.
  • The mining bot should perhaps also be offered for other operating systems. Not everyone uses Linux.
  • Under "uWallet/Mining" and under "Fiskusdaten/Liefern" there are text passages that are unfortunately not translated. This should be improved.

My conclusion:
I have never seen such a comprehensive wallet client. There are (almost) no wishes left unfulfilled and the client is really well made. Since everything is anonymous, I'm surprised that Utopia hasn't really been known yet. I've read something about Utopia here in the forum and informed myself, but otherwise I hardly hear the name. Also, I haven't heard from many people using Utopia yet. Actually it's a pity, because Utopia really offers a complete ecosystem, which is still completely missing in many other projects. Utopia definitely still has some work to do on its notoriety, but once that's done the project could potentially make it big. So I can only give my recommendation. If you are looking for a complete solution, you will definitely find it here.

Side note:
Utopia's website looks ok but could do with being a bit more professional and friendly in my opinion.
512  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: January 27, 2023, 03:34:51 PM
-snip-
I can confirm that. If the site is not in german, many will not use it because they like to understand everything 100%. If the translation has mistakes however it will be the biggest red flag you could give a german person. So if you can't get it 100% correct, you should defiantly not do it at all  Wink
Thank you for the confirmation.  Smiley

Thanks for the feedback
Are there many mixer users among germans?
Unfortunately, I don't have any numbers or statistics on this, but I have friends who regularly use a mixer. Since bitcoin is now also very well known in germany, many people also realize that it is not 100% anonymous and therefore use mixer to protect their privacy.  Smiley

Angry
514  Economy / Economics / Re: Success in finance and investment is a journey of finding your true self on: January 26, 2023, 01:13:07 PM
In some games it is easier to be successful than in real life. Therefore, people prefer to seek their fortune there than to face the harsh reality. Especially in a MMORPG can be successful without having to make an effort. You "only" have to invest a lot of time and you can "maybe" be successful. This can also work in real life, but is more strenuous in most cases. Either way, people have also earned real money through an MMORPG and maybe it will be possible to make a living from it in the future. However, being successful in an MMORPG is easier than in the crypto world. So I think a lot of people prefer an MMOPGR.  Wink

Working on it, will be adding Spanish soon -snip-
Very good that they offer other languages. As I've seen, they've added Spanish by now. Next I would suggest german. Germans are a bit spoiled and like it when the site is displayed in their language too. At least that's the case in my circle of friends. But make sure that the translation is good and correct. Otherwise, it would rather put people off.  Smiley
516  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: January 26, 2023, 11:35:16 AM
-snip-
True, it really doesn't matter the kind of currency one is in possession of. If one doesn't have money discipline, as in, cannot keep fiat money, how will keeping or saving Bitcoin suffice?
Although, while fiat money is easier to save because it more safe from hackers, and ease of which it can be spent, Bitcoin requires strict monitoring of visited sites and security updated regularly.
That's what I think as well. But keeping bitcoins has also become easy. All you need is a hardware wallet and it's easy to saving without constant monitoring. Indeed it can be stolen by a housebreaker, but that can also happen with fiat money. You should definitely protect yourself against such an event.  Smiley

4CryptoBet
is currently hosting a W4W giveaway event Don't Miss out! -snip-
First of all thank you for this new giveaway! I have a question about that. If I win the $250 or the $150, can I withdraw it immediately or do I have to play with it first? What would be the rollover for these winnings? A deposit beforehand would not be necessary, right? Unfortunately I can't find any information about it, that's why I'm asking here.  Smiley
518  Other / Archival / Re: Another fake bitcoin giveaway? on: January 25, 2023, 10:36:52 PM
Indeed, OP did not initially announce giveaway rules; he did it later, in the seventh post. Rolling was supposed to take place on Jan 24th. Yesterday (Jan 24th), OP asked how to proceed. A Ponzi promoter (so, obviously, not a trustworthy member) gave him an example of how to choose the winner by using a block's hash. In the given example, the winner was user 5tift. However, that was just an example! -snip-
Sorry, but I'm not sure about that. In xLays example post, only the number 92 was given as the winning number and not 5tift. I think you read that wrong and 5tift only spoke up next because he received a PM from Rbah. He published this PM from Rbah in another thread:
Quote
Hello 5tift,
you are the winner of my BTC giveaway
I'll be sending 50 bucks to this address 1MxqUhnCwuUwbc7Z1NhNTTGiVHJXBpurCi in the next few hours
Thanks for joining
However, I no longer believe that Rbah will pay the prize. 24 hours have passed and nothing has arrived at the address from 5tift.  Angry

520  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: January 25, 2023, 06:32:54 PM
In my opinion it's very similar. Keeping bitcoins is easier for someone who is already saving money. I've noticed this several times in my own circle of acquaintances. People who fail to save money usually fail to hold onto their bitcoins for long either. I don't think it's random either. Some people are good savers and others have an urge to spend their money as soon as possible. Whether it's fiat money or cryptocurrency.  Wink
