I don't think calling a web3 casinos as a decentralized casinos is true to its core. They're more like a semi-anonymous casino, where player does not need to provide ID and can conveniently connect through wallets.
However, much like you said, some elements are still centralized. They still pool funds [and I assume they have full control of this pool] to take from loses and pay the winnings, and they still collect sensitive data like device fingerprints and IPs to identify abusers, of which the data [I am somewhat sure] are stored centralizedly.
I thought decentralized and web3 are the same thing. I must had a confusion in differentiating these two [if they are two]. What's the difference? |

I was a stake Member and never was a rollbit member but randomly got a 500$ welcome bonus in my stake only email, meaning Stakes email database was compromised or sold that's for sure.
I am not aware of it. This means rollbit managed to get the data from stake. What’s ironic to this casino was they are claiming that they are the first decentralized casino yet they still let users create an account and deposit on it first that makes it still centralized because they have control on the users funds.
I don't know how decentralized casino, sportsbook truly works but I never seen a gambling platform which is decentralized and there are no centralized developer team. Even with bitwinup there are some sort of control from the developer although the transactions are happening on chain. |

It still a hardware wallet. I do not recommend ledger anymore.There are many other companies who are popular. Buy one that is convenient for you. Unsurprisingly enough the web is full of people claiming to have lost their XMR from addresses generated and used in this web wallet, in way higher proportion than any legit wallet.
Can you bring some of the posts from the web so that we know some victims. Losing a coin from any wallet mostly users fault. Even after more than a decade, still a majority of the crypto users do not know the usual practices of securing their wallet. I have know people who kept their backup on Google Drive. |

That's why you should write down the block height or date with the seed words. But that's for next time  I never thought this will be useful in future but now I realize I should have taken a note of it. Once I am able to sync the wallet, It seems better for me to move the funds and take note of the new block height. I'm not sure about the feather wallet, but as far as I know almost every Monero wallet has it.

It's a feature, not a bug. Sharing your view key with the server is bad for privacy.
I would just keep Feather wallet running for a few days until it's done. No big deal.

I am trying feather wallet, Monero GUI. Problem is with the synchronization. I had some Monero from a few years ago [I can not remember the specific year and month] and it's taking hours to synchronize. I needed something like Electrum for Bitcoin which is quick. I'd be ok with that option as well. I actually like the idea of no self moderated thread and making a user report if they think a comment is off topic or whatever.
+1 for not allowing self moderated topic and not allowing to lock the thread. It is better to add a rule such as "locked topics should not be on the reputation board." Here we do not need to change the forum code and you can report topic to be moved to Archival. Another good proposal but when a topic finished it's discussion material and a different discussion or similar discussion that needs to receive better attention then the locking of the old topic is usable to me without moving it to archive. |
