I try to run 1.6.8 with 6XR9 390. The driver version is 16.9.2 Windows 8.1
I try to benchmark the normal V8.
But it did not run. It has
error: Unknown attribute kind (45)
Anybody can help?

is monero dead?
This year steadily with over 2% of Bitcoins number of transaction. Last year was under 2% and before mid 2016 was below 1%. All that means that Monero is dying with a slower pace as Bitcoin. If any one of them is actually dying. I think both coins are doing well. They are higher than last year. |

It’s better to stick with bitcoin private because it’s the real bitcoin with privacy. Monero just a scam that will be banned because it’s only for criminals.

I will not dump ETH, for me, it is one of the trusted coin and popular too. The best coin next to bitcoin. I will still hold my ETH for good and wait for the huge increase.

Many more small and more profitable coins using cryptonight protocol and many more coming. Mine those coins and exchange to any major coins like ETH and others.
Isn't ETN already quite big? Not following it right now but I expect it took a lot of the hash power from Monero, at least in the beginning. --ypsi I think it is not big enough to absorb all the hash. |

I heard menero is forking to monerov which will use a new algo. does this mean 2018 is the death of the crytponight algo and lower AMD prices?
The Pow algorithm will change slightly every 6 months. So I expect the GPU can still use that. |

I know alot of tokens will outperform Bitcoin this year, but not just sure about the project, I know the team has big figures in it, but just not sure what they aim to do, what is driving the price of BTC, Ethereum and recently NEO is because of ICO demand, if they can enter the race too, then it is possible
Cardano could outperform bitcoin, but it might not outperform Bitcoin Cash or ETH. |

In short its in cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies now has a spectacular growth this year especially the bitcoin. This year the bitcoin reach a new high and projected to reach even 10,000 dollar. Too ambitious but it seems it possible given that more countries are opening of using bitcoin. I think it is quite difficult for the bitcoin to reach $10,000 soon. The ICO is stopped in China, there is less impetus to own bitcoin now. |

Massive power use increase here also. So much so my R9 295X2 cards started melting all their wires, and my hash rate did not improve at all. Will have to roll back.
I highly recommend you don't install these on a 295X2 based rig.
So it will not work on the R9 390 cards as well. |

Everyone giving BCC so much attention tells me that people are worried about it being successful. hmmm..
It's getting so much attention because it is the first time something like this happens. BCC, unlike BU, is happening and there is some miner support. People are also moving their coins out of exchanges etc. Will it be successful? Maybe. Will it come even close to the success of Bitcoin? Hell no. Bitcoin Cash (BCH and not anymore BCC) can have a life of its own because there are now some number of supporters of the altcoin this early and if it can prove something that it can also survive in a sea of new coins/tokens then there is a big possibility that more and more will support it. BCH should not anymore be taken as something like an enemy to the real Bitcoin in the same manner that we don't view that way when we talk about Litecoin and Ethereum...let it takes its place as an altcoin. Right now, Bitcoin's value is not affected by BCH in fact this can even push its value to the sky because we would be able to see the big difference between the two. But would it be possible that later on Bitcoin Cash can proven itself to be better than Bitcoin? Hmmm...let me have it a topic in another post. I see your point and agree, that Bitcoin Cash may take its place as an purposeful alt-coin. It just bothers me at all the people that are trying to change Bitcoin from what Satoshi intended. We should leave Bitcoin the way it is as an honor to Satoshi as well as an experiment to see how it turns out. Let all the alt-coins try new configurations and algorithms. If they really are better than people will switch. It's not worth the risk in ruining Bitcoin because people want faster confirmations or lower fees. That said, I would have more respect if Bitcoin Cash didn't try to profit off the Bitcoin brand and came up with an original name. Just call it what it is, an alt-coin. That's one reason why I'm not going to dump any BCC. Another reason is to avoid a currency war, since Ver and co can also dump BTC if they want. I think both coins can co-exist peacefully and try different approaches to payment issues. I agree with that. The ETH and ETC coexist peacefully and the ecosystem is very good. Both BTC and BCC are useful. |

i dont know what is the bestway to invest bitcoin but investment in reality is not always make an profit, but also it can be risky.. i reccomend you not to invest all of you btc  One of the best investment for me is trading because it is less risky and you are sure enough that you will earn instead of gambling that is really risky and that you must be ready to face that you might lose your resources. All investment is risky, trading is good to invest your bitcoin but make sure you do a research of what altcoins is profitable. Also, bitcoin is best for investment because I beleive price will increase this year. Of course trading is better to invest compared from other offered online investments, but without proper knowledge and researches of different types of alt crypto currency coins will be difficult to distinguish how profit will come out of our way. If you entertain those online investments aside from tradings, I guess you made it to a wrong choice but if you trade with crypto currencies and also holds your bitcoin in your wallet for several months; you will difinitely see it rises it's price value in a long run. If you don't want to take any risky of investing your bitcoins then best way to make profits is by holding them for a long term as price will be higher in next few years so if you have higher amount of bitcoins then you can make good profits by simply keeping them safe in your wallet. I agree with that. But we also need to find some good coins to hold for the long term. |

Question which one will survive deserves logical answer, those who have enough funds for further development..Decentralized and anonymous transactions. Everything else can be upgraded on this base if need exist. We need an alternative to POW, POS is not good enough. Fast and usable coins with small chains..
I think if you invest in the top 10 PoW coins, it is more likely to succeed. |
