541  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If bitcoin was real coins, Would you pick 1500 satoshis off the ground? on: September 14, 2014, 08:57:21 PM

qr code of the private key is ok for me
542  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Random 0.00001 BTC from Laxo Trade? on: September 14, 2014, 08:12:16 PM
So is this definitly nothing to worry about? I've had a couple of dust payments from this and others before and I've read from some higher members here that they're trying to track or trace your addresses or something or is this just fud?

Yes it is fud, these spam payments are used only as advertisement. Many who receives unknown payment are curious who sent it and check blockchan.info comment. If your worried about not spending this spam payment from address you dont want use anymore because you had there no unspent input anymore for long time, use coin control and just do not use the spam payment - but you should never reuse adresses if your very concerned about privacy anyway

So you have 30 thousand dollars and your complaining over 9 cents and saying people are greedy?

BTW I received my payment, thanks for running this promotion.

30 thousand dollars? lol trust me i wouldnt be on here if i had 30K $
i meant 30k as in 0.00030000 Bitcoin -_-

This unit is called Satoshi, so to avoid confussion you can say 30k Satoshi.
545  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: DirectBet Basketball Prediction Game *** Win Free Bets ! *** Free to Enter ! on: September 13, 2014, 10:19:18 PM
very difficult to settle the score in Basketball
Embarrassed

Yea, since this prediction game start, only 1 lucky winner won.
And it was huge rewards of 230 BTC and that winner also won the bet and total reward for him 267 mBTC.

What is the mathematical probability of guessing right 2 random numbers between say 30 and 140?

111*111

But in Basketball it is reasonable to guess between 60 and 89.
It is 30*30= 900 possibilites, if you allow only one team to win it is about half of the possibilites (900-30draws)/2
546  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: CryptcoMiner.com - Earn 3%-4.5% Daily from your investment on: September 13, 2014, 10:09:07 PM
My investment came true, can't wait untill tomorrow. But what is that 100 dollar bonus people claim they got?

When you join signature campaign, you get 100 dollar bonus (you cannot withdraw 100 dollars Smiley)
as a member, you receive 1% daily interest from the 100 dollar, it mean 0.06 BTC monthly. You can withdraw the dollars from 1% daily interest at any time or invest when you get 20 usd
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would funding your PayPal account with BTC allow you to live on BTC? on: September 13, 2014, 12:29:53 AM
Would funding your PayPal account with BTC allow you to live on BTC?

If PayPal were to allow either funding of accounts with BTC, or denominating account in BTC... would you move away from fiat and over to BTC? I can pay for almost everything (exceptions being rental cars... something else?) with my PayPal debit card. I can pay almost all of my bills with PayPal or my PayPal debit/credit card. I would likely move to immediately convert my pay each week to BTC. The biggest problem I would have would be staying under the CoinBase instant buy limit.

Has anyone else considered this?

What I worry about is PayPal fees, and how easily the PayPal - CoinBase will be integrated

550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: possible ways to make bitcoin's usage safe on: September 12, 2014, 12:20:17 AM
Buy the Trezor hardware wallet.

This is true, but the price is too high for someone not having at least 1 Bitcoin. But if the Trezor price could get much lower, it could help secure average Bitcoin user his Bitcoins. Compare the hardware and price of Trezor and cheap Smartphones, and you will see the Trezor price is too high
551  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Random 0.00001 BTC from Laxo Trade? on: September 11, 2014, 11:38:11 PM
I think the lowest you can send and have it make it is .0000537 or something like that. Im probably off by a decimal place, etc.

In Satoshi client (Bitcoin-qt), about 5500 satoshi is minimum you can send. But some wallets allow to send 1 satoshi and some miners adding it to the blockchain when the correct fees are paid!
552  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Random 0.00001 BTC from Laxo Trade? on: September 11, 2014, 11:29:36 PM
Actually if the ad send 0.001, I might check the site. I received recently 1 satoshi, I was curious and found transaction comment on blockchain.info, but for 1 satoshi Im not going check the site  Tongue
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallet do you use for your Bitcoin? on: September 10, 2014, 11:55:44 PM
Trezor. It is hardware wallet and very secure. The only drawback is the price, 119 USD, so not for everyone
554  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: GET FREE $10 TO SIGN-UP! HURRY!! on: September 10, 2014, 11:28:29 PM
I haven't expected much at all but only one satoshi...

https://blockchain.info/tx/008baad94fc66601dcaf096090b0dbaf5e6a52edd3211f39eccfbcf470a33772

That is just dust...

How you could withdraw Bitcoin when they dont allow Bitcoin withdrawals?
Maybe the dust is just random spam, I received it once as well for no reason.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And You Say Paypal Will Never Embrace Bitcoin on: September 10, 2014, 11:17:10 PM
Im sure you will have to send or receive bitcoins via coinbase, since that is who they partnered up with. So, it will be interesting how its implemented. I think we will just see a link to coinbase.

Better than nothing, but I really expected paypal will be interested to provide exchange service itselves and keep the fees.
556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6 things bitcoin introduced to us on: September 09, 2014, 11:56:48 PM
Global currency without need of a central authority. Bitcoin become very strong now since so many merchants accepting it, 1 or maybe 2 next years and every major merchant will accept Bitcoin - it tells something about Bitcoin!
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple introduces new mobile payment service "Apple Pay" on: September 09, 2014, 10:54:40 PM
I think Apple just come with something not much usefull just to sell more overpriced phones. Oh well.

And no competetion with Bitcoin, it is just less secure credit card
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dirty messages in the block chain on: September 09, 2014, 10:43:55 PM
But hardly anyone will read the messages, it seems a bit of waste. The blockchain.info comments are more interesting, but these comments are not part of blockchain actually, just blockchain.info stores these comments
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An obvious problem with Bitcoin? on: September 08, 2014, 11:18:02 PM
You can check what IP relayed transaction to Blockchain.info. But in most cases it is not the IP of the user who signed and sent the transaction.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is news about Braintree ***NOT*** PayPal/eBay. Let's not forget that. on: September 08, 2014, 10:45:44 PM
This looks like Braintree news.. Nothing in relation to PayPal/eBay.  This will allow merchants to accept Bitcoin payments via their mobile app..... FYI - let's not get too excited about this.

I have to agree, but paypal might adding Bitcoin this year I believe (given the promo video)
