101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If he dumps ETC will go up strongly on: August 02, 2016, 08:31:00 AM
If the DAO attacker dumps the ETC then the price of ETC will most likely skyrocket. The ETC will be freed. The threat of dumping is more powerful than the execution

lol @ the anti-logic of ETC holders. Yes, a massive sell-off will cause the price to skyrocket, because that has happened ever in a market before...

There is massive sell off now, the trading volume is 25% of the all the ETC. But you can also call that masive buying as the price is rising.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: August 02, 2016, 08:27:48 AM
I have 2.4 bitcoins right now, and i am wasting it on gambling only, nowdays it's very interesting for me, i started from 1.9 and now it's 2.4. Cool

If you win the 0.5 bitcoins from the gambling, that is very good winning. But it is better to hold those coins.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have bitcoin AND debt? on: August 01, 2016, 12:05:22 PM
I own bitcoin and have some fiat debt. The fiat debt will be inflated away in the next few decades.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Attacker Owns 10% Of All ETC on: August 01, 2016, 12:03:13 PM
It would be better for Vitalik to step down and let someone else take over as lead developer. The problem is who is willing to take over? No one. The sane minds who are willing to work with the technology would be rather joining the original Ethereum classic. I do not know how long Vitalik and his friends can stay for long denying the truth about themselves and the situation.

No replacement for VB is a feature, not a bug.

That feature of ETC is precisely why I invested.

ETC should be decentralized and leaderless like BTC, lacking not only a governance structure but the possibility/feasibility of one as well.

Devs who govern least govern best.

VB should signal his intention to begin extricating himself from the flaming quagmire of conflicting interests and morass of hubris in which he's presently entombed.

Vitalik is just a proposer for some new ideas. The miners and wide community decides if they want to accept the proposal.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth Classic opened the way for Bitcoin Classic fork on: August 01, 2016, 12:00:16 PM
After ETH Classic fork, we have to be more careful about the hard fork. If one chain is not removed carefully, the bitcoin will die.

Ethereum Classic is not a fork.

Ethereum Classic is defined by its LACK OF A (DAO Bailout) FORK.

FFS, the conceptual poverty around here is getting awful.

Where do these idiots who believe not forking makes ETC a fork come from?

Perhaps they're just BETH trolls, like that pumpertits buffoon who goes around say the DAO attacker stole 9000% of all ETH in existence.   Cheesy

If the DAO hacker does not dump his coins, there is a possiblity for the ETC to survive. How about the rest of the DAO?

The rest of the DAO are owned by the white hat hackers. It is possible that these guys will dump the coins.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: August 01, 2016, 11:58:58 AM
bitcoin will get stronger in the future and more people adopt the bitcoin.

There are more and more retailers and business adopt the bitcoin and the users of the bitcoin will also rise.

When the bitcoin have more users, the price will rise a lot. The price is proportional to the mass adoption.

Not at all. It is proportional to the amount currently traded (read supply and demand meeting at a few major exchanges). Obviously, this has next-to-nothing to do with mass adoption. A few exceptionally large whales (blue whales) could make the price whatever they like constrained only by profit margins they could potentially attain thereby...

That would most certainly be the case if Bitcoin had been actively used in real life and only a small percent of it had been traded

The more bitcoin transacted and used by the retailers and merchants, the higher the bitcoin price will be.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: August 01, 2016, 11:57:36 AM
Just recently got into BTC; I have 2.5 saved up.
Plan on taking 25% of each of my paychecks and accumulating and seeing what will happen in 2017 or later in the year.

Thoughts? Ideas? Speculation? Advice? Tips?

 Huh

i just started to love bitcoins so i have only 0.1 BTC at this moment, but  i plan to rise that in near future for sure,  i wait for price to fall down a bit so i could buy some bitcoins

Same here I only managed to get 0.1 BTC so far. I will start selling more things on the forum to get somemore BTC in the near future. With the price at 700$ I don't want to swap so much Fiat into Bitcoins at the moment. A bit late to the party.

Maybe you can buy some bitcoin in bitcoin exchanges. that is a faster process. There are fewer scams.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: July 30, 2016, 11:18:27 AM
This time I've spent some bitcoin I have had for a purpose, so now there are only 0.1 BTC in my wallet, but I guess it was enough to make it a lot back. Well, maybe with trading, I can generate a lot of bitcoin, but I guess using 0.1 BTC it will take quite a long time, but I guess it was fun  Smiley
I think if you just have a little bitcoin in your wallet you have to be careful if you want to use methods that require capital to generate a bitcoin. maybe I will use 0.08 btc as a capital and 0.02 BTC i will make it stay in the wallet just for backup money

I will save 90% of the bitcoins and hold them for the long term. Then I use 10% bitcoins to buy things.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Attacker Owns 10% Of All ETC on: July 30, 2016, 11:17:11 AM
I can't wait until Satoshi dumps his bitcoins!

To buy Ethereum Immutable
Satoshi is dead.

So is Vitalik. He buried is own grave when he acted as a central banker by doing a rollback to get funds back from someone that didn't do anything but use the smart contract. He didn't steal, he used the existing smart contract code. The fair thing should have been to let the DAO fall, but no, they were too greedy. Now Ethereum is dead thanks to that. You can stay in denial all you want tho. No one is going to trust "smart contracts" that can end up in a rollback.

Vitalik did not implement the hard fork. The miners agree to hard fork the chain and they use the mining to do that.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth Classic opened the way for Bitcoin Classic fork on: July 30, 2016, 11:15:53 AM
After ETH Classic fork, we have to be more careful about the hard fork. If one chain is not removed carefully, the bitcoin will die.

The Ethereum community should show some solid determination to remove the ETC as soon as possible.
111  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the 2016 - BTC Price Prediction on: July 30, 2016, 11:14:47 AM
to me at the end of the year the price of bitcoin the price of bitcoin will be trade in 800-900 USD. and after that the price will increase in the mid of 2017 may be reach to 1500$. i think the bitcoin user may not be able to see the price of bitcoin in 500$ any more.
the price of Bitcoin could potentially spike beyond the year's current high of $764, this can continue and will likely improve the uptake in the use and price of Bitcoin in coming days by $800 to 900.

That is very possible. I think the bitcoin price can be around $900 to 950 by the end of year. It could be a little higher.

If the bitcoin block size is increased to 2MB or even 4MB and user have good experience, the price will be even higher.
112  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to the 300s we go. on: July 29, 2016, 07:49:16 AM
thinking about that is just the wastage of time. the price may never come back to such a low level again. if some one is waiting for it he is just wasting his time. because people are even thinking that it will be the last trading session in 600 $. and after that we will not be able to trade bitcoin again in 600$. so if some one is really interested so it is good time time to buy bitcoin in present price.

The $400 is history now. It is even lower than the cost of mining for some miners. I think the bottom is $550 now.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: July 29, 2016, 07:47:55 AM
as we can see that bitcoin is struct for some time and the price is revolving around 640-670. but i can say that in next some week the price of bitcoin will increase so much. i can predict the bitcoin in next year above 1500$. so i think it is still good time for the investors to invest their money in bitcion and those who have already bought bitcoin they should be stay calm and wait for the price increase.

Bitcoin remain stable for quite a week already but that doesn't mean it will stay there, there's a big possibility that the price will move hope not by falling but by soaring on the following months.

The bitcoin price is around $650 now. I think it will rise to $680 in the next two weeks if not longer.

I think the bitcoin price might stay here for the next few weeks, waiting for the SegWit release in July.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved? on: July 29, 2016, 07:46:41 AM
I have spent some bitcoin to buy some Ethereum. The price is suppressed by the ETC scandal, it might be higher in the future.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Attacker Owns 10% Of All ETC on: July 29, 2016, 07:45:07 AM
Can't wait for the dump. When he dumps your ETC shitcoinage you deserve all you get for supporting a thief, and promoting theft.

There will be blood.

Theft != truth.

Would it be theft if Vitalik Buterin put an open brief case of cash on a dark street corner and someone who found it decided to keep it?

Are you going to buy some ETC to show your support or will you buy some mining hash to support the ETC network?
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth Classic opened the way for Bitcoin Classic fork on: July 29, 2016, 07:42:06 AM
The Ethereum Classic will be attacked to death by the big Etherum holders. They can sell their ETC to 0.

Oh sure, Barry Silbert and the other pro-ETC whales are just going to give up, roll over, and die as submissively as possible.

Let's at least wait until Nick Szabo weighs in until we restart the production of ETC Obituaries.   Smiley

But what happens if the DAO hacker is actually part of the ETC team and not sell/dump his coins?

We can only imagine what comedy gold would be buried under such a plot twist.

The situation is quite interesting now. I saw some posts that bitcoiners feel intimidated by the success of Ethereum and they want to destroy it with ETC.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO Attacker Owns 10% Of All ETC on: July 27, 2016, 07:49:49 AM
Can't wait for the dump. When he dumps your ETC shitcoinage you deserve all you get for supporting a thief, and promoting theft.

There will be blood.

I thought the DAO attacker drained 3.6 million ETC, that is 3.5% of all the ETC. That is not 10% you mentioned.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth Classic opened the way for Bitcoin Classic fork on: July 27, 2016, 07:47:18 AM
The minds and hearts of Bitcoin users are prepared. The devil is not so scary as was depicted, forks can happen and the world keeps spinning. Change of algo has to happen in the Bitcoin fork though, because the 3 chinese miners will 51% attack the fork they disagree with to make their profits good again.
Proof: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1563496.0

are you kidding? if anything, this mess teaches me NOT to fork, ever.
Who has time to follow this "forking".
also, remember that "old" coins will exist on both chains somehow, until you transact.

It might be a mess now. But a few months after, there will be only one Ethereum left. They are competing now.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: July 27, 2016, 07:44:27 AM
I think the bitcoin active user number will rise 40% a year for the next 20 years and the price will also rise.

Unless there are fiat currencies or banks on the brink of collapse, there is no way I can see the user base of Bitcoin grow with such numbers. Seeing the number of people adopting Bitcoin grow will be a slow progress.
The scenario is that if fiat currencies collapse, people will flock to Bitcoin as a modern safe haven asset, till then based on adoption rate the value of bitcoin increase. But I think there will not be a huge fiat crash.

I do not think any major currency will collapse in the near future. the adoption of the bitcoin will be slow.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the 2016 - BTC Price Prediction on: July 27, 2016, 07:29:18 AM
My prediction for this year that the price maximum will hit is 800 to 900 value this is i think will happen in this year..
But the price right now still in the level 600 value but i think the price will change at november to december holidays..

I agree with that. The bitcoin price could be between $900 to $950 in the December. Then it will rise from there.
