121  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 26, 2016, 02:13:46 PM
0.00402220 BTC

The way I do it seems to come out a little lower than other people so you can always add a little bit to it. So my target price point would be somewhere between 41 on the low and 44 on a high

When it's your own gear, it's even more satisfying Smiley.  That first block I ever found was with an S1 I had brought online about 2 weeks prior to finding the block.  I had it overclocked and running 200GH/s.  Difficulty was about 6.9G then.  Crazy that I still remember it... block 297777.

I've never found one solo, though.  The first block this pool found was pretty close to solo... only a few of us were mining at the time.

My very first block was on Slush with a USB Asicminer erupter miner when they first came out.

I went to Slush's pool and logged in but dont see where or if they still show the blocks you found like they did. But I did find a blog I started back then and I at one time had 70 USB miners running before I sold and bought BFL miners. http://aurel57.blog.com/

I wish I was around back in the USB days but that looked like one hell of a set up. How much BTC where you get of that?
123  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My set-up to heat house using bitmain S7 (UPDATE 03JAN2016) on: January 24, 2016, 03:59:36 PM
Pulling the air from inside the house, to heat a house. Wouldn't that make the air quality poor? I guess there is a reason why we have vents? Tongue

yeah the heating that is done from device like asic is not healthy at all, there are case of guy running his miners inside is room where he sleep, and he had health problem at the end

Yeah, if you are heating your room with air wich is just going out from a device and filling all the room the air quality will be poor and you'll have headaches or even worse problems with your health.

I think you should make the hot air go through a metal (not heat-insulated) vent tubes and thus they'll heat your room just like radiators do.

You are correct but by just using a high quality 3 inch media filter (whole house filter) you can totally reduce any contaminants by 99% or more. My HVAC engineer friend who has set up hundreds of server rooms in RTP (Research Triangle Park), help me with my setup and this was one of concern's that was addressed.

Maybe you guys should think about using Jonny Bravo's pool its small so it's very similar Concept but with low to no risk. You will not lose your share count if you do not get a block and you'll get your money back at some point instead of nothing at all. Trust me when we do find a block you get paid very handsomely for it  Cheesy

The best part is you do the rental yourself and you don't have to trust other people.

I've been trading at bitfinex recently. This is one of the top exchanges out there if you want to trade a USD-BTC pair (in terms of volume and liquidity). It is located in HK, and they officially told the US financial authorities to essentially fuck off when the latter tried to bully them not so long ago (with all due respect and consideration, lol). Regarding alts, bittrex and poloniex seem to be viable alternatives (pardon the pun)...

And at all costs stay away from cryptsy

Sweet thanks for the tips guys

131  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 23, 2016, 07:36:56 PM
Yep it was one of my s7  Grin

FYI I intend on splitting half of my hashing power here and there but I've been running a test I started back when the DDos shut us down and I will move them back over here shortly when i am done with my test.

But I hope all the rental power is making up it =)
132  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 23, 2016, 07:21:23 PM

That's a tough question but I would have to say 10 BTC personally
136  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: January 23, 2016, 06:50:26 PM
No chance at all. But I do believe that it will be used in the background, for transfer between Banks and whatnot.
137  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 23, 2016, 05:22:30 PM
Jonny you might want to check the logs apparently my rental has dropped off for the last hour and it was at the bottom in the pink part on nicehash. I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with the price because I was close to the top for 43

Also in NC.  Sun is out here.  Maybe it will melt the snow off of my solar panels.

I have not been here in so long I forgot about the hot  streaks.

Right now I have my 2 ½ avalon6's and 1 s-7 pointed at the pool
I am also Hosting 3 avalon6's for  PPOC. Until mon or tues .

So I have about 22th coming from Howell NJ to the Pool.

We have over 1 foot of snow and second foot on the way and 40 mile an hour winds. I hope both the net and the power last through the storm.

Me too!! I'm sitting in the middle of an ice storm here in NC. Seems like a lot of people are losing power quickly around here.
