I hope you will not do the same mistake as many of devs of altcoins.
The most important thing is propagation. If you don't want the coin to be just another echange coin which will disappear in a moment, you should propagate it. And I don't mean propagation in miners community. I mean lobbing at exchange servers, creating of interesting apps, nice would be also if someone would convince some service to accept Litecred and Decred payments in real exchange rates and so on... Miners would come after that. You need to make the coin valued and interresting. Then will come more miners and investors...
The priority is MARKETING!
Many developers create coin just for mining at the start and then sell it.
But there is other potential - there is potential to become successors of Bitcoin and Litecoin (and I don't mean in value, I mean in interresting for potential investors, developers, users).
I think the main purpose of cryptocurrency is to become stable currency for daily paying and using in everyday life and convince the world to use it instead of centralised national currencies. If you don't want it to be just another altcoin, you need to convince servers and also variable local services to use it and allow customers to pay in the cryptocurrency.
I think it shouldn't be so difficult to convice them, especially in EU when the European Court said the cryptocurrencies were not "money" so there should be no taxes from it. - There can profit both - the customer and also the provider of services.
I've got one question - How long are there going to be the fees for development. As long as there is the fee, the Litecred will never be really decentralised and independent.
Fee for dev is necessary for the future of the coin. When they get paid dev will do better their best to keep updating the coin. an abandoned coin will slowly die  Marketing. Do you have marketing skills? Yes, pm me. |

It is difficult to get news space on a site for a newly altcoin...But let's hope they find Litecred enough worthy to publish.

I'm pleased to present you with a comprehensive report of the entire scenario from my point of view from what I read through the thread and will present you with a few avenues that we can walk through to finally rectify the issues on behalf of the community and what we can actually do to give back life to DRZ.
First of all I would like to state that sadly DRZ is currently in quite a messy situation which you would already know , but I would also like to state that there's hope in getting back up.
Let's talk about what has happened.
1. DRZ was taken over by 3 developers of 1 gave up right from the begining , 2nd one put out an update and went missing and 3rd came a bit more far and seems to be having issues of his own too I believe.
2. Swap process was initiated by the 3rd Developer who took over DRZ and first phase of it was completed , which being the swapping of coins at the exchanges , which was successful where C-Cex and Yobit recieved coins from the new blockchain and client but it was all successful upto a point where C-Cex old DRZ wallet with the coins was directly given to the Dev to be burnt by himself but something has occurred at this point and these coins ended up on Bittrex , where the market was still open for OLD-DRZ and someone dumped the coins and made away with a few bitcoins , anyhow while all this was happening Yobit has Burned the coins themselves and I believe there was an address on the thread to support this.
3. The developer has close to over 1 million coins with him from the new blockchain and client.
4. Developer has not been seen online for the past 2 weeks or so.
5. Currently though I would prefer the markets at C-Cex and Yobit Frozen as there is a possibility of the new coins being dumped as we do not know for a fact who currently have these and poses a risk.
Problems Identified
----------------------
1. OLD-DRZ dump on Bittrex
2. New Coins held with the developer
3. Loss of trust in DRZ and its future being questionable
4. Presence of FUD and comments by the original DRZ developer who comes around every once in a while and tries to fail any efforts put into this coin to revive it.
What can we actually do.
----------------------------
1. The old DRZ dump has already happened and the culprit has run away with BTC , so there are new people holding DRZ and they will need to be swapped to the new ones.
2. The above cannot be currently achieved as the developer holds the balance coins for the swap of user balances of individual holders.
3. Currently there is no excess DRZ-OLD coins in circulation , the circulation is the same , I believe this was a concern of the community and I would like to put it to rest , the number of DRZ coins on OLD and New Chains should match and neither of them should be in excess.
4. There is a certainly a need for a name change and restructuring of the coin.
My Suggestions

1. Re-name of DRZ and full restructuring of the Coin.
2. OLD-DRZ dump can be resolved with a blockchain rollback but I believe this is quite useless at this point as the culprit has already run away with the bitcoins and people will be at a loss.
3. The NEW-DRZ coins left with the developer needs to be dealt with and the same amount of coins will need to mined again.
4. Let's get to work shall we?
Please correct me if I am wrong and please put your thoughts on the table and discuss the same.

I can tell you I am running (3) MN's from one IP and I also had a problem with the amount of connections. However, I let it run overnight after adding all of the addnodes and it seems to have worked itself out. Now the (3) mn's are showing 43, 13, & 11 connections which I think is plenty to operate?
Problem solved. thanks people for advice. Qt2 connected to 11 nodes incl. my first QT on the same server. I added my first QT as node for my second QT. (Thanks infernoman). |

If anyone is having issues hosting their own Masternode due to your IP address constantly changing. I could help. I can host your Masternode for $1 dollar per week. My internet is business class Internet. I got a static IP address. You will control the private key of your Masternode. I currently have 5 Masternodes working.
The best part about this is the user still controls their funds ! So all you need to do is run another node. And provide the user with the masternode private key then they'll be able to start up their node remotely and watch the rewards come in I can also help users setup their own VPS which you should be able to run multiple masternodes from, Or you can contact me over IRC to get a node at http://mn.infernopool.com/ for $5 a month Good job nrvasquez, Maybe in the future you'll be able to turn it into a full time service and we can have multiple options for masternodes hosting just like dash I run at the moment on one VPS 2 transfer-qt instances. But one transfer-qt has 60+ connections and sync very fast and the other only 1 or 2 connections and sync very very low. Both are conf. to use a different port on the same ip/server. We're testing a new version of the wallet it will contains some new tabs, after a short period of internal testing it will be released here
Any interesting new tab? it's something useful Maybe in-wallet explorer or in wallet exchange?  sorry i love to take guesses lol Top. People need something different then other coins. Include exchange (with api support of course) and explorer is a great idee. And a message tab to send encrypted message to other adresses would be great. These are some Tips. |
